Grout Tech

Andrew gave us a quote to steam clean our kitchen tile floor tile over the phone. He showed up on time, honored the quote, and did not try to bump us. We asked him to add a bathroom floor, and he did for a reasonable addition. Andrew did a fine job and was pleasant to have in the home. We would definitely use again!

Andrew did an excellent job of re-grouting and re-caulking.

Andrew was very nice and honest with us. He said it would be too much work to re-seal grout that the tiles need to be replaced. He referred us to a tile man which we called. If I ever need grout services I would not hesitate to call him again.

Things went smoothly, Grout Tech worked hard for a few hours. The overall experience was terrific.

Excellent. This gentlemen said he wouldn't take my money. He said he could fix the grout and tiles but in less than a year it would all be broken again. The original contractor , David Schwartz, did a horrible installation. It was not worth fixing as it will only fail due to the improper concrete board used, and the thinset coating was a 1/4" or less in the floor. This man's integrity is without question. Didn't even charge us for a site visit.

Excellent. Andrew took out the old caulk and replaced it with a better quality caulk. He also cleaned the grout inside the shower. Looks like new! Highly recommended.

When he arrived to do the job, he brought several shades of off-white silicone caulk, but wasn't satisfied with the color match, so we rescheduled. He went out of his way to find and buy the antique white silicone caulk made by the manufacturer of the grout. Even so, the caulk turned out to be too light. Andy was very upset by the poor color match, even though it wasn't his fault. I told him to go ahead and use the caulk. He wanted to reduce the price he charged, but I said no!

I just got a quote from him. I did not go with him because I thought he was too expensive. He started to pick a part, he did the job before hand. I just did not want to hear that. You do not want to hear what is wrong, I just decided to let the job be for a while before I have someone re-tile and grout. He got back to me right away.

Andrew is great! Prompt, polite and professional. He's meticulous and made gross old grout look brand-new. He also fixed the awful caulk job done by previous owners and re-caulked my kitchen sink for free. This was a large area he fixed. We were almost thinking of re-tiling because it looked so bad and now it looks perfect.

We were very pleased with the quality of the work, professionalism, punctuality, and efforts to keep us up-to-date. We really liked the phenomenal job he did, and would use him in the future as well as recommend him to others without reservations.

Andrew was great - responsive, punctual, careful, and he did a great job. He thought hard about exactly what would work best for us, and waited until he could get the best color material for our jobs, even though it meant returning a second time to do the work. He is friendly, professional, works quickly and left the place spotless. His pricing is also incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of work he did. I would hire him in a heartbeat for any future work - he's terrific.

Andrew is the guy you want to caulk your house. He is obsessively meticulous, and uniquely through. His work is the highest quality I have ever seen. I'm going to call him to come and fix all the spots the painters caulked on our molding next, then the windows outside! I've never seen such a precise and perfect caulk-line. He spent hours removing and cleaning all spots. The areas look as they have never been used before. Look at his webpage or facebook for before and after photos, it is remarkable what he can do to a room. HIGHLY recommend.

Andrew was honest and professional. I requested to schedule an appt online- within minutes Andrew called me back, who happened to be locally located, and he arrived at my house in 20 minutes. He then spent 30 minutes with my husband and I assessing our tiled areas. He carefully inspected these areas and identified specific issues that needed to be addressed. He could clean and re-grout any of the areas, but actually advised that it may not be cost effective to do so in the long run given that some of the areas had some serious issues. He was not pushy at all, would do any work we wanted, but was straight up with giving the facts and allowing us to make the decision. He gave us a sample of the grout cleaner he uses. In the end, we are looking into replacing the tile (which was in my mind anyway). He refused to let us pay him. He gave us a recommendation for a tile man locally also (after we asked him). Although he did not perform any work, I would definitely call on Andrew again- and will pass his name around to my friends who may need these services. Honesty, punctuality, and pride in one's business goes a long way in my book!

Andrew was awesome! Very responsive, great to work with, called back right away and setup an appointment quickly. The best part, he is extremely honest and honorable. You don't see many folks like him around any more. He came a good distance to my house for a small job. His work was outstanding. Cant say enough good things about him. Highly recommend.

I called The Grout Tech to inquire about services for a complicated marble tile restoration. Andrew told me up front this was outside the scope of his services, then proceeded to spend over 20 minutes helping to educate me on the stone, coached me to examine my floor by pulling up a vent and described the cost/benefits to restoration. He even offered to come to my home to give me an outside opinion to inform my decision, at no cost. He then called me back (on a Saturday) to offer up a contact number of a reputable restoration company. Talk about above and beyond customer service!! I only wish I could hire him for the job. Would strongly consider him for any other tile work in my home.

Andrew was amazing to work with. He arrived on time. He was extremely professional and responsive to all my questions and requests. He was very attentive to details and clearly took pride in his work. Turns out the job was a tiny bit bigger than we originally thought (the grout between the floor tiles needed extensive cleaning) but Andrew spent the time doing this and did not charge us extra for this. I should also point out that it was a hot and humid day and there was no air-conditioning in the bathroom. This did not deter Andrew and he stuck with the job until it was done to his satisfaction. Most importantly, the job was well done and everything is now sealed very well. I would highly recommend Andrew for this type of work.

Andrew assessed problems with all the tile that was put in for a whole house remodel in 2011. He is very honest and didn't try to sell me anything when he knew the re-grouting wouldn't help. He explained the problem to me and showed me where the defects were. I didn't even know there was so much damage behind the tiles. I am very grateful that Andrew has helped us identify these issue and I have contacted our general contractor to rectify the issue. I would highly recommend Andrew. He is an honest and knowledgeable contractor.

After I reached out to him to come out for an estimate, he returned my email in 4 hours! When he came out for an estimate he explained that the grout used by the installer was an epoxy and that's why it looked so horrible. He said that he could remove it, but that it would be not much cheaper than getting a new floor and he suggested it anyway because he was not confident about how the floor was initially installed. He then suggested cleaning it, but also said he felt bad charging me for cleaning because it still wouldn't look professional because of the epoxy. So instead he brought in some of the solution he uses, cleaned some of the floor to show me how to do it (it looked great!!) and then left me a bottle of it to finish the floor myself. I tried to give him some money for his time - he was here for an hour - but he wouldn't take it. I begged him and he wouldn't. This is a man of integrity. PLEASE USE HIM!!!!!

The shower looks wonderful. There were stains that cleaners could not remove. He removed all stains. He was reliable, clean and very pleasant. I have already recommended him to several friends who need re-grouting.

Andrew is a very honest and nice person. He told me that he was not able to complete my job as it was not prepped correctly . He spent his time explaining the whys and what had to be done before he could do it. We need more honest people in this world when it comes to hiring for a job you need done. What an asset Andrew is to Angie's List. If you need any Grout work Andrew is your man.. You will be very pleased that you selected him as I am, even though he could not compleat the job at this time, because of another person's errors. I will surely hire him when all is fixed. Andrew was terrific! He was punctual and friendly. His work was very neat. After fixing our 2 bathrooms he went "above and beyond" by calling someone who he knew who did tile to help us with a tile problem. He then waited for the guy to come and the two of them figured out the best approach for my problem. I would highly recommend Grout Tech!
