We work well with landlords and tenant situations. We have customers almost in every state that happen to own rental properties in Philadelphia. Gen 3 emails the estimate - the landlord approves and we do the work. Many owners love the PayPal option on our invoices to conveniently process their payment.

Yes this estimate only and was so not so good. We completely understand. Comcast came out and would not install her cable for her TiVo system so she called an electrician to run and hide the cables. Comcast and handy men usually staple these cables on the outside of the wall - which the client did not want. The customer did not go through with the work. This was only an estimate to run and fish cables through multiple floors at her residence.

Description of Work: Initially , I contacted them to assist with installing a light/fan in my new shower. I just completed a bathroom remodel. The work was done by Home Depot. It was/is a terrible experience and needed to now get ventilation for the bathroom for the tile to dry. I purchased their special deal/promo and Mike came out and was very helpful and consultative. He made a suggestion to for a different type of fan and it really made sense. I was very happy with the work. I then had them come out and update my outlets (needed to get a new washer and dryer and needed higher voltage) and they installed l new track lighting in the kitchen and hallway.

Description of Work: Generation 3 installed my Minka ceiling fan. The service man was very efficient, knowledgeable, congenial and courteous. The fan was not easy to install because it had to be installed on a slightly angled ceiling, but he had no difficulty. He explained how to work the fan, which some electricians would not have bothered doing. He was done in less than an hour and he charged a very reasonable price. Two weeks later I decided that the fan was not throwing out enough air and called him back to inspect it. He came back without any additional charge -- (the problem was not with his installation but with the fan model itself, unfortunately). I would definitely use this electrician again.

GREAT, Highly Recommend A+++
Description of Work: I had purchased a Angies list deal for this company, it was the first time I had done anything like this and was a little concerned. Lisa contacted me when I did not use the coupon and was concerned I may lose my money. I explained I was doing some other work and would be in touch when I was able to have the work done. Chad came over and gave me an estimate on all the work i needed done and arranged to have some of the work on the coupon deal done that week. Their estimate was over $300.00 Cheaper then a previous estimate from another company. So far i have had a ceiling fan and new switches installed on the coupon deal and it did not cost any more then the coupon deal. They did a Great job and even cleaned up. I do recommend this company and will be getting the rest of the work done through them shortly. A +++

Description of Work: I called Generation 3 because I was smelling burning wiring in the area around a light fixture that they had installed. I had contacted PECO first and after describing my issue was told that PECO would not check anything inside the house but would be sending someone out to turn off my power until I could get an electrician out to find the problem. It was not negotiable with PECO, they were required to turn off the power since I had made the emergency call. I immediately called Generation 3 and they said that someone would be out within two hours. A few minutes later I got a call from Bill, one of the owners, saying that he was in my neighborhood and would come right over. He checked the light fixture including climbing up on a ladder and didn't smell any odor. He investigated further and discovered that the smell was coming from a plastic scent device plugged into an outlet. Once it was unplugged the odor stopped. Boy, was I embarrassed. I offered to pay Bill for an emergency visit and he refused payment. This is a classy organization.

Description of Work: Repair four doorbells in four joined residences. Replaced transformer, changed out wiring, and purchased materials. I called as an out of town landlord with a limited space of time for the repair. The call was received and responded to within 24 hours. The process included determining why the doorbells wouldn't work, locating a "hidden" transformer, making the repair to code and changing out a battery that was nearby. The doorbells work well, the area and worksite left neat and clean, and the work took less than an hour. The repair was performed after advising me of the damage and what was required. Nothing done without my consent. I couldn't have been more pleased. Prompt, proper, ethical, and complete, and courteous. I will definitely call this company first the next time I require electrical work. Rental property on South Front Street between Catherine and Monroe

Description of Work: I called them in to repair dead outlets. The original technician was sidelined by automobile/computer troubles, but he dispatched a back-up person who arrived during the 2-hour window of the appointment. This guy was courteous and professional, quickly diagnosed the problem, offered an estimate, and repaired a defective circuit breaker. He also pointed out dangerous wiring (the absence of a ground line) and remedied this problem on the spot. This add-on work was expensive, and I am generally skeptical about this kind of trolling for extra work, but i thought his assessment of the situation as potentially dangerous and under-code was correct. The front office was snappy about responding to my request and scheduling an appointment, and the electrician made a follow-up call to make sure I was happy. This company knows how to serve customers well.

Hi Member, I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience. I'm looking at your records and see that that your original call was on 9/21/11 and we booked your appointment for 9/30/11. From your report I believe you were expecting us on 9/24/11. It looks like we made a communication error or your appointment was incorrectly entered into our system. Either way I have to apologize. It is our responsibility to confirm the time and date of your appointment at the end of every call. I'm confused about the busy signal. I will have to look into that. Our phones should be answered 24 hours a day by live operator. Phone calls that ring 3 times unanswered are suppose be picked up by an operator from our answering service. Your call is important to us. You should not have gotten a busy signal. Please let me know if there is anyway we can make this up to you. Bill Lutz
