Generation 3 Electric & HVAC

Branden came out to our house to review the electrical system, install new outdoor floodlights, and make some other minor electrical fixes. He was professional, pleasant and funny, and figured out how to do the work within our budget. Would definitely recommend him.

They did the job well and cleaned up after.

My technician Dave is the best. Dave has visited my home on more than one occasion. He is friendly and respectful. Always willing to answer my questions. Explains each job thoroughly. Explains in language I can understand. I called GEN 3 for what I believed to be an electrical problem that resulted in my central air not working. Dave was able to determine the problem, and fixed the problem. In addition, Dave advised me that there was other electrical issues that needed immediate attention. Those issues were also resolved, by installing a new 100 AMP Grounding System. I feel better, feel safer, as a result of Dave’s visit. He is a very valuable GEN 3 employee.

Branden was great! Outdoor GFCI outlet stopped working. Not confident with my handy skills when it comes to electric outlets so was happy when he assured me this was an easy fix. Able to stop by same day and replace the unit. Courteous, thoughtful - will be using for upcoming maintenance and projects

We have three apartments and wanted to sign up for the regular maintenance plan. But nobody even replied to our inquiry. That doesn't bode well, we're moving on.

Everything went well. Some of the outlets and switches connected to one of the new breakers went out but the breaker did not trip. After awhile the power to those outlets and switches suddenly came back on. Jordan came back out to inspect. The wiring in most of the house is very old and he explained and showed me the differences. He gave me an Amprobe and explained to me how to troubleshoot should the power go out again without the breaker tripping. This will narrow down and possibly identify where the chain is breaking in the power.

Job went well. All work was performed satisfactorily. Crew was helpful and respectful

Quality of their work is excellent and their technicians are very skilled in their craft. Would recommend that they communicate up front better and explain their plan before starting, to make sure they and the customer, are on the same page.

It went very well. The process was very smooth and easy. The tech was knowledgeable and courteous.

I purchased new appliances and thought it would be an easy install but then again things are never easy when your house is 150+ years old. On delivery day I learned that the stove, dishwasher and a blower underneath the stove were hardwired. GEN3 sends one of their awesome techs, George, to come out and give an estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge and reassurance that he could complete the job that I scheduled for him to return the next day to do it. He was on time and after donning work booties and reviewing the work with me, he went right to work. Afterwards he went over the completed projects with me then cleaned up his work area. I would definitely hire George from GEN3 again for future electrical issues.

Found cut wires in outside lamp post, recommended additional lighting along eaves of home to brighten up at night and also replace motion light out back with LED lighting

Not our first time using Gen3 and won't be our last. They make scheduling and all of the back office so easy, plus the techs are top notch.

Very well. My wife and I are very happy about the service we received.

My neighbor had a mini split installed, the contract left trash / litter all over our street and left without cleaning it up. I am personally disgusted by their lack of professionalism and how they're adding to the trash problem in Philadelphia. I have pictures and video of them throwing the trash on the ground to never be picked up.

We used Gen3 in the past for a small job and were pleased, so we decided to use them to replace our old knob and tube wiring. Our technicians were nice and friendly. But there were a lot of problems. They did not sufficiently clean up after the work they did each day. We had to clean up ourselves, and our home was full of dust and debris. The workers scratched our floor, dented some kitchen cabinets, took a chunk out of a wall, and did a sloppy job patching up the holes they made during the job. They missed one of our outlets, so we'll have to rewire that one ourselves. They damaged our outside flood lights, and we had to replace them. They did not label the circuits on the new sub-panel they installed. And, I'm sorry to write this, but they used our bathrooms every day for more than just urination. I felt like our home was abused.

Smooth transaction. Jordan, the technician from Gen3, came out and assessed my request. Provided me with a clear, concise overview of the work to be completed and quoted me the cost for replacing 4 overhead lights. Approved the costs and work was completed within 2 hours.

Highly recommended. Communicated regarding appointment VERY OFTEN, on time, professional staff--Brian Smith--listened & very helpful. My fav--did NOT try to upsell or sell me anything I did not want. Offered choice, gave estimates, and when we chose the cheaper route agreed right away. THAT is my idea of excellent CS.
