Generation 3 Electric & HVAC

Chad came out the day after putting in initial call and and gave us a detailed estimate for work we wanted performed with suggestions on how it could be performed based on our preference. Once decided on service we were scheduled within 7 days. Mike and company arrived by 8:30 as promised. Service took about 4 hours. They put down protective coverings where they worked, and cleaned up any mess.

These guys are very professional - polite, prompt, creative, neat.

Piece of cake from start to finish. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very friendly. I got a quote on the spot the day after I called, we scheduled the work, they showed up on time (a little early actually) and completed the job quickly. I would definitely use this company again for any of our electrical needs in the future.

I placed an emergency call to Generation 3 because I had lost power to my washing machine, dryer, and furnace (which obviously meant I had no heat). Bill was very friendly on the phone and said he would see who was in the area that he could send over. One of his workers was literally at my door within 1/2 hour! I was very impressed. He quickly identified the problem, switched out a damaged outlet and replaced an old furnace cut-off switch. The whole job was completed in about 20 minutes and the price was fair. G3 even followed up with a customer satisfaction survey in the mail, along with a coupon for money off a future job. Not the kind of service you expect from an electrician...very impressive. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Overall, I am pleased with the result, and I would recommend them to anyone needing outlets and new lines installed within their home. They are PRICEY; however, they are good.

From the moment of making an appointment for an estimate, to Mike leaving my house keys where he said he would. Their service was perfect. Professional, neat, contientious and open to any questions. Not only was the estimate below what other people were charging, I doubt anyone would have been as neat and prolific. My original wiring included a spaghetti of knob & tube, fuses and new wiring. Overtapped breakers to boot. It was mess down in the basement. They cleaned up everything and made it safe for me to work on my house. I have referred them to a co-workers sister, a co-worker and have added them to our office preferred list of contractors. We are an architecture firm, with high expectations. Bill set it up perfectly and Mike and Steve provided the best service. I'm just thrilled!

Generation 3 was great. They visited the project within 2 days of calling, provided a quote within the next 2 days, answered many questions and clarified the quote via e-mail and phone calls. Once the estimate and scope of the work was agreed to, they were able to schedule the work to happen in 3 days. They showed up when they said they would and the job took as long as they estimated. After inspection of their work, I had a couple of questions and they came back to review them with me the next day. They revised the location of one light fixture without any extra charge, since the original location was never coordinated. The guys who did the work, Mike and Mike were up to speed on the scope that Chad had priced out. They are all very courteous and pleasant to work with. I will definitely be calling them back whenever I have any electrical work to be done.

The estimator arrived and was very professional. He asked questions about the project, and what I was hoping to get out of the project. He recommended installing a new 100 amp service rather than repairing the existing service. At the end of the walk through, the estimator pulled out a laptop and wrote up and printed the estimate at my kitchen table. I was very impressed as it made it all very easy to read and outlined exactly the work that he was quoting (other handwritten estimates are often hard to read.) I did not choose this vendor because another vendor outlined the project with more detail for me and encouraged me to fix what I had rather than installing a new system.

Chad, one of the owners, came to review the work that I wanted to get done. He made a detailed and precise estimate of the cost. At no point, I was rushed to make any decisions. I scheduled the work for 2 day later. It was performed by Jeremy and Steven. They arrived on time, were really polite, and did all the work just as I had expected. I really appreciated their willingness to explain me various things and address my concerns. The entire project went very smoothly. I am delighted at both the high quality of work and how pleasant the whole experience was!

I called the number on a holiday and Bill had the calls directed to his cell phone while he was out of town, he was nice enough to talk to me about some of my electrical problems and had Chad call me back right away and we made an appointment. Chad was very nice and looked over all my concerns and let me know some others I might think about getting done and was very honest. He gave me a good estimate and scheduled me right away. Big Mike and Little Mike came by to do the work and were very nice, prompt, respectful and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. They did an excellent job. Little Mike even took the initiative to replace a couple of bulbs that had gone out in my yard that he noticed. These guys are really great from beginning to end. They even honored their coupon (many companies say their estimate already included all or bigger discounts) and at the end, the Mikes even took all the packaging that my light fixtures came in. Other estimates came in at 50% more.

They were totally professional and great to work with. They fit us in on short notice and got the job done quickly. I would definitely use them again.

I called several reputable electricians in the area and left messages about the work to be performed. Two of those companies never returned my phone calls and another called back two days later, to say that they wouldn't be able to get to my project for another three weeks. Generation 3 picked up the phone and had someone at my house to give an estimate, that afternoon. The representative explained the work to be performed, how much it would cost, as well as, the potential complications and the price, if those complications arose. The work was performed, two days later. Generation 3 was on time, cleaned up after and performed excellent work. I would highly recommend Generation 3 and I will use them again, for all my electrical needs.

Generation 3 was prompt and professional during the quotation process. They kept in good communication and were extremely flexible. When the job day came, they arrived on time and finished work quickly and neatly. They are highly recommended.

Analyzed difficult problem another top-ranked company was unable to solve and fixed it first time and for the cost estimated (was able to validate materials prices on the web).

Chad came out to look at the project. He offered some very helpful suggestions including products I was not aware of. Jeremy and Mike worked for three days with help from Michael and Anthony to complete the job. Every completed project exceeded my expectations.

They were, for the most part very punctual and professional. There was one instance of miscommunication where I was expecting them one day and they were expecting to come another, but they made arrangements to come later that day to compensate.

We had a Jekyll and Hyde experience with Generation 3. Their price was excellent and Chad was a personable salesman. The two electricians that came to do the work, though, while courteous, were not conscientious in their cleanliness. They left bits of wire all around and their fishing of wires left plaster and plaster dust everywhere. We were upset. When we called Chad he immediately came out with Bill, they finished the job in a very conscientious and thorough manner. We give a C for professionalism, and this is an average of F for the first two electricians and an A for Chad and Bill. We are pleased with our 220 amp service, our phone lines, our fans and our multiple outlets.

They are intelligent and honest guys.

They were great! On time, professional and explained everything very clearly to us. I would totally recommend these guys.

They did a great job. They came out quickly and on time for the estimate and the same was true when they came to do the work. We had some questions mid-job that Bill addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. We also decided mid-job to have some additional work completed and they fit us in the very next week. Having an older house with plaster walls makes for a messy job, but they were very conscientious about trying to keep our home as clean and livable as possible. I was also impressed with the follow-up. They called to check if everything was to our satisfaction. I needed an additional smoke detector installed in the basement and they were here in two days to do that. We will use them for future work!

The workers figured out the problem quickly, but wouldn't give me a break on the price in spite of the fact that they only spent 10 minutes at my house. In the interest of keeping me as a customer I was hoping they would cut me a break considering they didn't do much.

All the members of the Generation Three Electric team are friendly and punctual. Their work ethic is strong and their reputation is solid. They complete their work quickly and clean up afterwards. They also check back to make sure that I'm satisfied with the work they performed. Excellent company.
