They were just fine. I found their pricing quite reasonable. They were very responsive. There were two different people who came. I thought they were very courteous, they communicated quite clearly what they would be doing and they made sure they understood what I wanted done.

Their price seems to be the going rate. They were very punctual. One person came to complete the service. It took him about an hour to complete, he was pretty fast. He left the area very clean when he was finished.

It was great! I thought they were expensive. I would recommend them to a friend. One person came out and it took him about an hour-and-a-half to complete the service. The worker was fine. He was nice. He left the area very clean.

I hired them last year. Overall, it was good. Price is not the cheapest. They a good company. Responsive, punctual. The workers were punctual. The workers were nice, and courteous, and professional.
Description of Work: Added a separate line. Connected from the basement to the dryer. The dryer required a dedicated line.

They were excellent on several jobs and on one job, they were horrible. I would not use them again. They didn't fix my problem, so I have no value of what they did.

They're a little pricey. They did a lot of work in my house. My house is 70 years old. The light fixtures are probably the original, so I couldn't get the new fixtures put up without getting it updated for that. So they did that. They were on time and courteous. They were a little pricey, but I haven't had any problems with them so far. I do recommend them. They are always very nice. For the three fixtures that they did, it was $1200 and the replacement for the wire and the switch in the sun porch was $550. I've got to do some rooms in my upstairs. I plan on calling them again to do the light fixtures. I will call them back. They were always on time and very professional. Two people came to complete the service. They took maybe an hour and a half to complete it.
Description of Work: We had a shortage in the sun porch, so they repaired that and then, I needed some light fixtures in my dining room, living room and upstairs hallway. So they had to switch it to new.

I've had wonderful experiences with them. I've used them over the last ten years. Their cost was reasonable and they have never overcharged me. They guarantee their work, so if there's a problem, they come back with no service charge. They have been wonderful. I've never had a lick of trouble with them.

James from Gen3 arrived on the job early and involved me fully in diagnosing and repairing the problem. His good work was consistent with my previous experiences with Gen3: responsive scheduling, on-time arrival, collaborative diagnostics and competent workmanship.

Great- Luke took care or the dangerous situation & filled me in on what should be done in the future. Hired them again for several more jobs & will only use Gen3 in the future. They are amazing!

Although there was something wrong with the original wiring, it was fixed and installed in quick order. Service person was pleasant, polite, and left no mess behind.

This was the first time I had used this provider and I was very pleased. Years ago, the installer of my convection oven/microwave had connected it to another circuit in the kitchen and the circuit breaker would trip if I tried to use the microwave while also using something else on the same circuit. The main purpose of hiring Gen 3 was to run a new dedicated line for that convection oven/microwave, but I also had them replace an outlet and light switch when they came to give me a quote on running the new line. They came a second time to do the actual installation of the new line. They were very responsive to my initial request for a quote and in all other ways as the job progressed to completion. They gave me arrival windows which the technicians adhered to, and they kept me updated as to exactly when the technicians would arrive. They also provided information about the technicians such as name and a photo so I knew who would be arriving. The technicians were in uniform and were very professional at all times. They explained exactly what they were going to do and how they would go about it. They were knowledgeable and efficient. They cleaned up very well at the end of the job, and asked me if I had any questions about what they had done. A couple of hours later, the office called to make sure I was satisfied with the work and to again ask if I had any questions. Overall, I was very impressed with this provider, both the office operation and the technicians themselves.
Description of Work: Generation 3 Electric ran a new and dedicated electrical line from my convection oven/microwave to the circuit breaker box. They also replaced a 4way light switch that had gone bad and replaced an old electrical outlet.

A large hole was made in the beam to put the wire through. That cracked the beam. I will be spending thousands to try to repair that damage. They did not tell be the beam was cracked. It was discovered by a structural engineer looking to see what causing a problem with the floor.

Josh was excellent! He was on time, friendly, professional and efficient. He also cleaned up and you never knew he was there except for the great new switches for my bathroom lights and fans. I would highly recommend Josh and Generation 3 Electric - and would definitely use them again in the future.

This is my 4th experience with Gen 3. They aren't cheap, but they are very very professional from beginning to end. They work clean and I have been working with the same techs over the 8 years that I have used them. Their customer service is friendly, prompt and generally electronic (estimates, invoices, etc). Techs are on time and call well in advance if they won't be. I have never had a job that couldn't be completed or with an outcome that was less than expected. I live in an early-00s rehab and because it's an established company, I've never asked for anything they haven't seen before.
Description of Work: Updated bathroom lighting and switches. Updated existing recessed lighting to LED and added a new closet light.

Called Generation 3 Electric due to an emergency situation. This is my first time using this company. Spoke with Cindy who was very sympathetic and helpful - she had someone at my place in less than an hour and a half to review the situation. Their technician, James, came back a second time to do a more thorough analysis of the problem and we identified a number of issues that needed to be resolved. I ended up hiring them to install a new electrical panel and new breakers within my condo. Corey and Stephen did an excellent job and were very friendly, knowledgable, professional and thorough - as has everyone I've dealt with at Gen3. I have another wiring project that I intend to hire them for and would definitely recommend them to clients and friends.

Not well. I had Generation 3 come to my property on 2 occasions to resolve a short circuit in the kitchen and living room light circuit. On both occasions they were fairly prompt and courteous but were unable to satisfactorily resolve the problem. On their first visit, the problem could not be recreated so they could not do any work and only a $70 service fee was charged which was fine. On the second visit, they were able to fix the problem temporarily but the problem reappeared after 2 days. I was initially charged about $400 for the second visit which was reported to be faulty wiring in one of the light switches. According to the tenants the electrician only spent about ½ hour resolving the problem. I called to question the amount of the bill and the office person said there was an administrative error by the electrician who was new so she sent a new bill for about $200. After 2 days, the problem reappeared and I was told by the office that the electrician knew what the problem was (without ever having gone back for additional troubleshooting?) and he would send an estimate. After several more days I received an estimate for a little over $4000 (yes, thousand) to completely rewire all the lights on the circuit! I called in an electrician from another company and after about an hour of work he isolated the problem to a loose wire in one of the lights. He fixed it and I haven’t had a problem since. A week or so after receiving the estimate, I got a call from the owner asking if I had a questions about the estimate and I told him how absurd I thought it was and he seemed to agree. I’m very surprised and disappointed that a company with such a high rating provided such service. Obviously, this is not indicative of the service most people receive from Gen3 but I feel obligated to report it as I saw it.
Description of Work: Resolve problem with lighting causing a breaker to trip whenever light switch was turned on.
