Generation 3 Electric & HVAC

Gen3 re-wired our entire house after a ceiling fan fell. All knob and tube wiring was replaced and we received an upgraded box as well as having the house grounded. They were very patient with our many, many questions. After an evaluation, they presented us with three different levels of service to choose from. We had a dedicated electrician who was always available for questions. The process took about a week and the team really did try to limit the dust within the house. They were also great with our kitty and took precautions to make sure she didn't escape. Top notch service both with the electricians and the billing/scheduling staff. It was a little pricier than other companies, but you get what you pay for. We had amazing service with great work. They also do offer 0% financing plans for larger projects, which was very helpful. I will absolutely use them for any future electric work!

The team did a great job and I would recommend them (I was referred to Gen 3 by a colleague). They were on the higher side of the bids I received however, the two hour pre-consult gave me the confidence that they would do a great job which they did. Also, the team was employed by Gen 3 -- no subcontractors which was also part of the decision-making process.

One circuit of our electricity was shorting out when it rained. The technician inspected the circuit and found a rusted-out outdoor outlet that needed to be replaced, and performed the necessary work. The work was excellent and prompt. We highly recommend this company!

I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose Gen3 to replace my “very old gas boiler/heater” Large purchases always make me nervous but Nicole Curran went above and beyond in explaining everything from start to finish in layman’s terms, to help ease my anxiety. Both Nicole & Travis were prompt, professional & friendly throughout the install. My many questions were met with quick response from the office staff, both Lauren and Heather are pleasure to work with. Do not hesitate to call Gen3 for your heating or cooling service needs.

Brian Smith showed up right on time, wore booties, and was super courteous and professional; he took down a u bulb fluorescent fixture that was no longer working and replaced it with a Lithonia Lindbergh LED fixture that I had bought off of Amazon. He solicited questions and answered them all. I would be happy to have him do more work, though I think with Gen3 they may not always send the same person. With their good ratings hopefully everyone is great.

My experience with this this company was great from start to finish. Josh came to my house to give me an estimate. He was very patient and answered all of my husband's and my questions thoroughly. When I called into the office to schedule my service, I only had a very small window when I'd be available to get the work done. I talked to Janay and she helped to squeeze me into the schedule. Dan and Richard came to my house to do the work they were very professional and got the work quickly. I'd definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The Electrical contractor Cory and the HVAC team which included Brian Mitchell Liz McCourty Jim British Jeffrey Wilbur were excellent! There initiative to complete the job in a professional and qualified Manor was a parent at all times. Misses Lauren Casey Jones was such a great comfort and help to me throughout the whole process. I would definitely use gen 3 for all of my needs in the future and would certainly recommend them to my friends.

My experience with Generation 3 was completely favorable. The process went as smoothly, promptly and professionally as one could hope, from my first call to the company to the estimate visit by Josh to the work itself performed ably by Dan assisted by Ian. I greatly appreciated how reliable and communicative everyone was (also including Stephen and Heather on the other end of the phone), and how patient and thorough they all were in explaining the work and answering all my questions. If only all contractors were like Generation 3!

I have had them out twice to do a few different small electrical jobs (new outlets, replacing light fixtures) and both times we had great service and friendly and knowledgeable electricians (shout out to Jon and Gordon). Definitely recommend!

A gentleman from Generation 3 stopped by when he said he would, let us know in advance, and could not have been any more professional and kind in our 5-minute interaction. On top of that, because it was such a minor issue he did not charge us. After this exchange I feel confident we’ve found our go-to team for any electrical problems in the future.

I had purchased a new chandelier for my dining area and thought it would be a simple swap out with the current one that is there. Well...it wasn't. This was NO FAULT of Jose the installer. The chandelier I chose was small but very difficult to install and he handled it like a pro. He also noticed that my electrical panel was never really installed properly. I wasn't planning on expecting to spend the extra cash needed but I did want to take care of it while he was here. I went and had it done out of precaution. The new panel was nice and it also wasn't an easy installation. the only negative was that he had to cut out the drywall to put in the new panel but cut way more than needed so now I have about 2 inches at the top and bottom of the panel that I'll need someone to fix (as you can probably tell, I'm not handy at all ;-) ) Jose also replaced a wall outlet for me and installed some dimmers as well. Overall he was great and if you have Gen3 do work and get Jose, consider yourself in good hands.

You will be charged $39 for an estimate unless you commit to the job. That $39 charge will be credited to your final cost unless the cost is below $250 or scheduled for another day. You most likely will qualify for the $250 mark however they will also most likely need to schedule your service for another day. BOTTOM LINE: If you schedule an appointment/estimate with this company, you will be charged 4-5x the average amount and complete the tasks slower than most. If you schedule an appointment/estimate and do not agree with the price, you will still be charged $39.

I can't say enough good things about Generation 3 Electric. It's hard to find qualified contractors that want to take a small residential job. Gen 3 enthusiastically wanted my business and because of the top quality customer service, communication, and highly skilled Master Electricians...I gave it to them. Many thanks to Brian, who did the install. He was on time, patient, and answered all my questions thoughtfully. Shout out to Heather, Janay, and Stephen for great customer service before and after.

As always, a great experience with Gen3. Jose was prompt and efficient, and did the work carefully and on-time. They're the antithesis of most contractors: they show up when they are supposed to, they give you an estimate that matches the price, and they do the work in a timely fashion. Great job!

We have used Gen3 on a couple of different jobs. They installed a new circuit breaker, two ceiling fans, redid all of our outlets and installed a common wire for our HVAC. Each time we reach out to them, they respond promptly and send out competent, professional, and courteous people. They make sure they wear booties and cover up furniture when necessary. I have recommended Gen3 to my friends and family as well. Cannot recommend them enough!

I can not tell you how happy I am with the work performed by Aaron Davis. He installed a ceiling fan in my future newborn's bedroom. He was courteous and his work was smooth, while being completed efficiently. I have already begun to think about other possible projects that I can call on Generation 3 to complete.

The electrician, Brian Smith, knew what the problem was immediately and replaced the necessary part so that my recessed lighting was working again in my Living Room. I had written an excellent review on him in July so I was happy he had returned. I am so pleased with the responsiveness of Stephanie, Heather, and Brian at Gen 3. It went extremely well! It turned out the voltage was still alive and well, and all I needed was a new outlet and cover. Brian, who had quickly determined this, ran out to his truck, grabbed what he needed, then installed it, also quickly. He was careful, however, and very nice. And he put those little booties on over his shoes when he first came in, which I very much appreciated.

Gen3 did a good job. They were conscientious, diagnosed the problem, and followed through on what they said they were going to do.

Great. Very professional and cleaned up entirely.

Went well. Gen 3 took a care if everything from permits to inspections.

Generations 3 sent Brian Smith to assess and repair the problems. He explained to me my options and then proceeded to fix everything. The company did not replace intercoms, but he took a look at it to see if there was anything he could do. The price for his work was reasonable, which was gratifying to me a 69 year old retiree who volunteers as a hospital chaplain. He was a pleasure to work with, and if I ever need any further electrical work, I will contact Gen.3, and ask for Brian.

This was the 2nd time I've used Gen 3. The electrician was on time, did an excellent job to my specifications, cleaned up, and was done all within the specified time. I couldn't have asked for more. They are my "go to" company.
