Description of Work: East Coast Comfort installed 4 Fujitsu a/c units in our home. They have since come for another smaller job. In short, these guys are great! They are highly professional in terms of providing all the information in terms you can understand, showing up on time, keeping you updated with progress along the way, showing how everything works and generally answering all questions. They are very polite and friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. We will continue to bring them in for all of our heating and cooling needs.

Description of Work: We awoke to no heat on the morning of Feb. 2, 2015. I e-mailed them through Angie's List at 7:30 am and called at 9:30. Lisa stated that they were having computer difficulties and she would call back. In an hour she said she would check with technicians for their schedules, and would have someone out in the afternoon or first thing the next day. I called around 11:30 and she said someone would be out to me between 1 and 3. She called to say technician was on his way around 12:45. They discovered that the on/off switch was tripped. Rather than immediately assuming that the switch was bad and charge us to replace it, the repairman stated that with the ice/slush/rain the previous evening, the chimney cap may have been temporarily blocked until the thaw later in the day, and that the cause of the trip may have resolved itself. He recommended a "wait and see" response and noted in his report that should we call with the same problem again in the immediate future, that the repairman bring a switch with him. As of 2/5/15,no further problems.

Description of Work: Our heat was out. I looked on Angie's List and chose the most well-rated company to call. Not only did they respond quickly, but the service person also looked at a couple of other problems we had while he was there. I had been misled by a previous contractor into thinking it would take a lot of time to diagnose the problem with the radiator in our bedroom. The serviceman took off the top and TURNED IT ON! We now have heat in the bedroom. I am so happy I could cry!

Description of Work: They were very professional throughout the process: stating from their quote to installation and even post-installation (no callback rather I had some PECO rebate-related requests). Their pricing was very reasonable compared to the 5 quotes I received. They did not attempt to upsell to larger or top-of-the-line products nor did they try to get my work by price (spec'ing out low end equipment). Their recommendation for the grade of product I eventually selected fit with my request that they spec out equipment with efficiency as the main driver. When I added additional equipment after we signed an agreement, they were very open and honest and told me that it was better that I purchase the product elsewhere since they couldn't beat the price for those particular products. They installed the additional items for a nominal amount. I have not had any problems with their installation of Lennox: 3-furnaces/3-air_conditioners equipment to-date. They have been the best contractors that I have had throughout my renovation work. I cannot stress enough how professional they were from start to finish. Unfortunately for them, I may never need to use them again at my current residence; however, if ever the need would arise, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: I called them to make an appointment for them to repair my house heater which was not working at all. They were at my house within a 1/2 hour. My heater was working again within 1 hour, of course I timed them. The price was what I thought it would be. Both gentlemen were professional and pleasant.

They were timely, professional, and clean. I'm convinced after my installation of my Oil furnace and heat pump that East Coast Comfort is the HVAC company in the Philadelphia area.

Description of Work: I converted from an oil boiler to a gas boiler in Northeast Philadelphia. After getting estimates from six reputable dealers, I deceided on East Coast Comfort. There price was is line with the other dealers but the involvement of the owners Ed and Tony with the detailed planning and coordination of my project won me over to them. In addition, you are supported in a great way by their office manager Lisa. She keeps you up to date on all appointment times, schedule changes and is always prompt in returning phone calls. They did a great job in completing my conversion in one day which included the breakdown and removal of a very old and large oil boiler.I am very pleased with everything this company did and I will be using them for all my future heating related situations.

Description of Work: I had a new HVAC system installed in my west Philly row home which I'm renovating. I had a new H.E. furnace and central air installed, with all new ductwork. Tony and co were very professional, hard workers, seems like they did a very thorough job with the install. They were the most competitive price by a thousand dollars or so, after getting 5 bids, and I feel like the service and system provided was a very good value. The system worked during the testing, and I haven't had a chance to run it since then, since I've sealed the ductwork during construction, so I can't really speak much to the functionality of the new system. However the other contractors who have come through have also noted that it looks like the HVAC installers did a great job. | |The only thing that kept the install from being an absolute 100% home-run was that when they were drilling through the exterior walls to install the refrigerant line, they drilled a hole that knocked out the brick which was supporting one of my floor joists on the inside of the wall. The joist didn't move and it probably won't be a big deal to fix, but it would've been nice if they had just cemented it back in place rather than just wedging the brick back there, since i'll have to now cement it myself. I didn't make too much of a fuss about it at the time, and they told me the bricks were already loose there -- I should've probably just been more assertive that they return it to previous condition and I'm guessing they would have done so. | |That said, I would definitely recommend ECC and would absolutely call them first for any future installs.

Description of Work: This is actually the second time we used East Coast Comfort. Both times were for an annual furnace cleaning.The tech was professional and knowledgeable in going about the job. He had no issues using a furnace filter we had bought and even showed us how to change it ourselves and when it should be done. Great experience. We would definitely recommend them to friends.

Description of Work: ECC came right on schedule and their guys did a great job testing the CAC (both the indoor & outdoor parts). There work took them about 30 minutes, they showed me what they found in each area of the AC and what they actually did. After several purchasing experiences with these folks, I always feel confident that I'm getting very good service at the best price.
