Tony came out and quickly figured out the problem. My unit is old, but all it needed was a new motor, which he replaced. There was no attempt to upsell me to a new unit and told me there is plenty of life left in my heat pump. Works great now. When I do need a new unit, I will be calling these guys. They are professional, let you know what's going on, and the price is fair.

Our experience with this company was amazing, starting with an immediate response to our request to set up an appointment to get an estimate. Tony explained everything that needed to be done to install central air conditioning in our home, which had no duct work. We got estimates from four other companies, and selected ECC based on our confidence that they would do a good job, and the fair price we were quoted. The crew was prompt, did excellent work, and left no mess behind. We highly recommend ECC based on the great experience we had working with this company, especially Tony!

A nearly suffocating sour smell began blasting through the vents within my home. I shut the air conditioning off and called East Coast Comfort because of the excellent experience I've had with them in the past. I received a return call within 10 minutes. The owner agreed to come to my home within the next day or two. When he arrived, Tony - the owner of East Coast Comfort - accessed the evaporator coils inside the central air conditioning unit. There, he showed me an accumulation of cat hair that bypassed the filter I was changing out monthly. He quoted a price and, with my permission, cleared out the accumulation and used a cleaning solution on the coils. To ensure that the unit was working properly before leaving, he was careful to test it and to check its vents for any mold or additional debris. It has worked perfectly since and the smell is gone. Overall, this was an excellent experience; I would absolutely recommend East Coast Comfort.

I give this company my highest recommendation. We had them replace our heater and air conditioner in our previous home in 2012, and they did a great job, so we called them again. For comparison's sake, we obtained an estimate from another Lennox dealer, and East Coast Comfort gave us a better price. They (Tony, Jack, Don and John) showed up on time on the install day, and took great care to protect the carpets in the house. Everything was installed perfectly. They also are very nice people, work well together and are very respectful on one another. Everyone was very helpful, including Ed, who I negotiated the price with and Lisa, who works in the office. Both Ed and Lisa answered any questions I had while deciding on which products to purchase.

Resolved one of several long term problems tied to bad installation.

Good fast installation. The aesthetics of thenoutdoor install was excellent and does not detract for the exterior look at my home. This is why I selected this installer over others. East Coast Electric took allot of time and thought into the best way to install for my home. No other discussed the options with me as they did.

I called Lisa at East Coast Comfort. She took my name, the tenants information, and the property address. Tony went out to the property and took care of all of the issues in order for everything to get up and running again. The tenants I have are great and really take care of the house I rent out to them. Lisa at East Coast Comfort is always very pleasant and Tony the HVAC guy is the best. I had a HVAC person I used for 10 years but unfortunately he passed away. I went to Angie's List and found East Coast Comfort and have been using them for about the past 8 to 10 months for my own house and for my rental properties. Thank you for great prompt service!

This company is great. This is the second time we have worked with them and they are always professional. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the A/C.

It took a crew of four men two days (working eight hours per day) to complete the job. They fully completed the job at the agreed upon price and timeline. We were consistently impressed with the quality of their work. This included the appropriate placement of duct work in difficult to fit spaces. They carefully cleaned up after cutting each ceiling vent opening. They frequently asked if we had any questions or comments as their work proceeded. They completed the project with minimal disruption to our daily household routine. The quality of their work speaks for itself. We would highly recommend them to other potential customers.

Outstanding- there is a huge difference in service when dealing with a company that is locally based, and the owners still work there. Service was exceeded all expectations - Highly recommend it for those in the area (I'm in roxborough/manayunk) to check East Coast out before other companies in the area. It went great as usual. Quick, friendly and professional service at a great price. I had someone else give me a price but I went with East Coast Comfort without even asking how much it would cost. I have used East Coast a couple of times before and always had great work done at a good price. That was again the case and I won't even call anyone else for my a/c and heater work. And, very importantly, Lisa facilitated these repairs very quickly and professionally every time I called. This is the company to go to for a/c and heating work!

Excellent Service and Diagnostic. In late May I had SILA over to perform this service, and it was a horrible experience. They charged me $150 and did nothing but openly criticize the NEST Products, telling me they are the worst on the market, and could not help me in repairing or figuring out the solution. They left me with a large bill, a 20minute visit that got nothing accomplished except criticism of the NEST and offers to replace the units at $500/each with their Honeywell counterpart. Then today, step in East Coast - the technician was extremely knowledgeable - in about 20-25minutes he troubleshoot the NEST. Figured out the problem. Rather than leave me without AIR, he suggested a short term fix (I have AC now) thanks to him. He figured out what the problem was, and am now waiting for an estimate and a return by East Coast. They were fantastic with everything today, and completely put SILA to shame. THANK YOU !!! for figuring out the problem and even giving me that short term fix.

Having used ECC previously with good results, had them come out to look at my heat pump condenser that was not defrosting properly. Mike, the technician, determined it was the de-frost electric board that needed to be replaced and he had to order one as it was not a common board (older model unit). A couple days later he was back out and installed the new board, but there was still issues with the defrost function. Discovered that the heat pump was wired incorrectly and he re-wired it correctly to fix this issue. Mike was great - didn't charge me for the extra times he was at the property and went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved - kudos to him! Always a fan of ECC and would use them in the future...

Fantastic service! Came right on time. Walked me through what was going to happen. Worked very efficiently and his work was extremely clean and professional. I had a bunch of questions afterwards, some related to whole home humidification and some in general HVAC and he answered them all without hesitation. He was very patient and spent the extra time talking me through the system and my questions. He even walked me through my overall HVAC system which was great b/c I learned a bunch. In short, this was not a rush job and he spent a bunch of time with me above and beyond the call of duty. I'll certainly use him again for my other HVAC needs.

Called for an estimate and they provide the lowest of three. In fact was able to get an Angie's List special. They answered on 3rd ring. Young lady with whom I spoke was very friendly. She was able to provide an estimate over the phone and schedule the work within 1 week. Technician (Mike) came on time and was very personable and professional. He completed the installation quickly and with a very high degree of quality. He cleaned up afterward and best of all they did not try to rope me into a service plan or any other BS. The unit they installed was very highly rated on Amazon.

East coast was an absolute pleasure to work with from my first contact with them until the last. They were quick to respond and provide an estimate, provided a great price, and were punctual and professional throughout. I was concerned that having the old system taken out and the new one installed could be involved and time consuming. Four guys, including one of the owner, arrived on time, worked quitely and professionally, and were done in a timely fashion. I strongly recommend this company and am very thankful I choose them for the job .

Everything was done in a timely manner. Speaking to the receptionist on the phone was a nice experience. Very friendly. Came out within a week of my phone call and on time. I told him exactly what the problem was and it was fixed. I thought I would have had to get a new radiator after spending 3 winters in the cold... It was fixed and for a cost friendly price. I can't say enough good things about this company. Tony and Ed are very nice, honest and efficient workers. This is the second project they've done for me (installed a heating and cooling unit in my kitchen in May 2015). They came out and did a very thorough evaluation of the problem (there were many -- some caused by incompetent plumbers) and gave me recommendations. I really liked that they proposed to fix the heating issues for the major areas of the home and suggested I put off dealing with another costly problem for an unfinished area of the house until I'm ready to do the renovations. I was ready to do it all because I've been so frustrated and was so happy to find professional and competent plumbers. Lisa, the office manager, is always super efficient and very pleasant. Communication was top-notch. It took less than 48 hours to get a proposal, payment was easy (I chose card number over the phone for deposit and check for final pay), and scheduling was always hassle free. Seriously, I love these guys. Finding professional, high-quality, honest plumbers in Philadelphia is (almost) as hard as curing cancer.
