Description of Work: Dunbar painting painted my new apartment before I moved in. They painted the whole thing (kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, hallway) plus a few extra things like re-grout the tub and remove some hardware on the wall. They did it quickly and for a great price.

Description of Work: Although I ended up going with another painter just because I was in a time crunch and I contacted and met with the other person first, I wanted to take a second to give Kris a positive review because he was so incredibly responsive and made every effort to fit my job into his clearly busy schedule. When I first called him, he got back to me promptly to apologize that he couldn't fit the job into his schedule, but then texted me again 2 days later to offer me an opening that came up. He offered me several appt times to come out and give me an estimate, and was really nice about playing phone tag w/me because I cannot answer my phone at work. I had already accepted the quote from the other painter I'd met with in the meantime, but because Kris spent time communicating with me and I could tell how conscientious he was, I wanted to take the time to leave him 2 thumbs up

 + 2 moreI found Kris after struggling to get a decent quote to paint a nursery for my 1st child and removing wallpaper in my LR. Kris showed up, gave a price as soon as he saw it and we set a date on the spot. When I saw the paint that I picked it was horrible. Kris helped me pick out a new color and finished the job to perfection. He also found that a leak had damaged a huge part of the wall in my LR behind wallpaper. He repaired the wall beautifully and saved us a lot of stress.
Description of Work: Kris is one of the best contractors, of any kind, available. Over a 4 year period Kris has many rooms in my house. He has also repaired walls and done exterior sanding/painting. His work is fantastic and he has a great deal of integrity. He has done work in 2004, 2006 and 2008. I plan to hire him again as soon as I can.

 + 0 moreDunbar Painting is a one man operation and Kris is the guy who we dealt with. He used plaster for the walls. I think he did a very high quality job. He probably did a little bit slower than we were expecting, but we didn?t want to exceed the contract for the cost of the job. However, the extra time didn?t cost us more. He seemed to have a lot of experience working in older homes. His responsiveness was good. If need be, then I would hire him again.
Description of Work: We used the services of Dunbar Painting in March of 2010. The painter resurfaced and painted the walls of our stairwell.

 + -1 moreKris did an outstanding job. He was on time every day and worked steady throughout the day. He's a great communicator and delivered the product that I wanted at a great price. I would recommend him to anybody who would love to put some color into their home but doesn't have the time to invest.
