They charged a full third less than the other companies I got estimates from. They were ready to repair rather than just sell the replacement. They were prompt, did excellent work and I would use them again. They really care about their work and even gave me a discount.

I have no idea how it went. They were too fast. I went to work came home for lunch and they were done. It seems from the time I called them to completion was a blink of my eye. The leak in my roof has been driving me crazy for 1 year. Had I known it would have been this easy I would have called sooner. I found City Wide on here and read all the bad reports. Don't know why. What I respected was the response the owner gave to all the negative comments. The list can be a good thing and a bad one at the same time. Being in business myself I know you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try. You can add 1 to the pleased list. They went above and beyond my expectations.

My old roof was leaking and needed to be replaced. I searched Angie's List for 3 A-rated companies and came up with City Wide, two roofing companies. For various reasons, one of the two roofing companies did not work out. Ed from City Wide was extremely responsive and came out the day after I called. He looked at the roof and told me that I would not have to rip up the existing roof (which is sometimes necessary with old row-homes that have numerous layers of roofing from years past). He left a sample of the roofing along with a copy of his business license and installation certification from the roofing manufacturer. He said he could have his crew out the next day to do the job but I told him I was waiting for another estimate later that day. The other company never showed or called and Ed called about 6:00 p.m to check in. I told him that I wanted him to do the job. His crew came out early the next day and was done in about 5 hours. Great work! Highly recommended.

I received an estimate the day of first call to this company. Work was done two days later. Work was done to my satisfaction. Workers were prompt, professional and courteous.

Ed O'Neill checked the roof around the HVAC unit and after deciding the roof was still intact (i.e. not the source of the leak), proceeded to check the HVAC unit, even going so far as to open the unit itself and performing a water/leak test to the unit door. I was most appreciative of his patience and help with my water problem, as he could have easily said, we only do roofing and left. He gave me advice on how to fix the door leak to our HVAC unit and what will potentially (and hopefully) save us a lot of money from having HVAC service. I would definitely use him if we have any roof issues.

Excellent experience, regardless of where your help comes from or how many people recommend them-still you never know until your work is done and finished as to how pleased you are going to be.

From talking by phone to City Wide to Stuart arriving at our home on time and fixing the problem with ease, our experience with City Wide Roofing was excellent. The receptionist on the phone was friendly and promised someone out the following day. I had requested a phone call 30 minutes prior to their arrival so I could come home from my nearby office. Stuart called and let me know when he would be arriving. Stuart was extraordinarily nice, very competent, and fixed the problem in just a few minutes. Where most companies would have charged a high minimum fee for fixing such a small issue, City Wide charged only a nominal fee. I would recommend them for any work in the future.

Very well. They came out, misunderstood our request, came out again and re-estimated. When we gave the go ahead they were there the next day. We were not home when they worked so they allowed us to come home and inspect and then pay over the phone (no pressure).

They were sloppy. They got tar on my carpets and curtains. I would not use them in the future!

They were excellent. They were very responsive, prompt, called and came out to access my concerns and went over the work site. Their office staff was also very good. The owner called back on several occasions, and I felt that he was responsive to my needs.

Improper protection: debris destroyed garden. Crew didn't understand skylight curb so I installed it myself; Crew cut through A/C electric cable without realizing it, risking electrocution and fire. Had I not been present to alert crew, the wires would have been buried in the roof resulting in a very difficult problem to diagnose and potential fire hazard. Worker broke side yard hose spigot pipe flooding the side alley. I repaired water pipe so there would be water for them to hose the roof: this was a flame down roof and workers had no fire extinguisher with them. Improper installation of downspouts and pitch pocket required 2 returns visits and 3 wasted mornings for me. Cleanup was poor. They paid for material costs for the garden damage but there is no way to compensate for the time to fix garden. Waiting time lost and bad job.

Steve was quick, efficient, and friendly. Very competent, would go with these guys again. They also had the best estimate.

I emailed a request and received a call from City Wide Roofing within 24 hours. I set up a time for an estimate and Ed O'Neill came promptly at the agreed upon time. He explained the work in detail and made sure I understood what was included in the estimate. The original estimate was $7125, but only included repair of 3 broken rafters. Mr. O'Neill made sure the estimate stated the repair cost of additional rafters. I got the estimate on a Tuesday, work started on Thursday, and was finished by 1 p.m. on Saturday. The only surprise was that the work started so quickly and Mr. O'Neill was unable to reach me in person. He left a message that my roof would be started sooner than expected, but did not call my cell phone. I would have closed the windows to prevent a fine black dust from getting in. Other than the dirt and starting work sooner than I expected, I was very pleased with the whole experience. The workers were pleasant and cleaned up the exterior every day before leaving.

Called to have them check out a leak. They came out and looked at the roof. Schedule an appointment immediately and completed the work on time. They provided a discount, since I was referred to them from Angie's list. Overall, a great experience.

When I 1st called the office they were really nice and ready to schedule free estimate the next day. When they did come out, the gentleman was on time and very knowledgeable. We just had a new roof put in last year and the previous roofer made everything worse. Our skylight needed to be completely replaced and re-framed. The drain pipe from the gutter was rusted and the opening was too small to effectively drain water. He quoted the cost at a great deal and gave us a discount for mentioning Angie's List. The roofers came out the next day and were done the entire job in about 3 hours. It's been about 3 months and we have not had any problems yet. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

They came and did the job in one day. They cleaned up well. There was a problem with the pitch on the gutters, I called and they came out quickly to repair the gutter.

The roof itself was installed well from the beginning. The pavers and the flashing were not installed well the first time around. As this is a patio that I want to use, it was important (and I had stressed) that I wanted it to look nice. The flashing was not uniform, and had dings in it. The paver around the roof drain was not cut evenly and there were spaces between the pavers and the sliding glass door. They had also not properly installed a pre-existing roof drain that I had just had installed (and was very expensive). I called Ed (the estimator) to complain and he sent the guys back the following day. They reinstalled the flashing so that it was uniform, recut the paver around the roof drain so that it was cut uniformly and filled in the missing spaces with pavers so that the patio looked uniform. The second time around they did a nice job, I just wish that the work had been like that the first time around as I had stressed how important it was to have the job look nice.

I was looking for a new roofer and City Wide got great reviews on the List. I called for an inspection and they were able to send Ed O'Neill out the very next day. Ed was able to do the inspection without me having to be there (a big plus for those of us with day jobs). He called me right after the appointment time and told me that while they do work on tile roofs, they did not work on my particular type. He then gave me the names of two other companies that did work on that style roof. Everything about the experience went well; they were prompt, courteous, and helpful, even when they had nothing to gain from it.

Ed O'Neill is very patient and worked with us multiple times to figure out the best way to replace a leaky and problematic roof. Roofers were on time, clean, fast, and all materials that were needed were brought the first day. All of these things are rare with roofing companies, in my experience.

The job they did looks pretty good. I havent had any problems with the new roof. I was happy that they stuck with the quote they gave me at the beginning and I consider it to be a very good job they did for me.

The work was done very efficiently and quickly. They workman were friendly. I'm very happy with the 15 year guarantee.

It went great! They bid the job on Friday and finished in 2 and a half days the following week. The crew was very professional and left the site clean. We had a problem with the way some of the flashing looked and they changed it to our satisfaction. The estimator, Ed O'Neil, was courteous and helpful from start to finish and came out to make sure we were happy on the day work was completed.

Prior to putting up a new gutter system I wanted to check on the status of my roof. When I moved in a few years ago, I was told that there was a new roof on the front of the house but that the roof on the rear was 11 to 12 years old. After researching Angie's List I left a message with City Wide Roofing Inc. over the weekend and received a return call early Monday morning. Mr. Ed O'Neill came out to look at my roof within a matter of hours and told me that it looked fine and was not in need of being replaced. If he had just wanted to make a buck he could have told me otherwise. I certainly appreciate his promptness and honesty. Should I need a new roof in the future, I will not hesitate to give him a call.

This is an very good roofing company. They are very responsive and efficient. I was impressed that they came so promptly. The salesman explained everything completely and the price was very reasonable.

We chose them over some lower estimates because they seemed more reliable and the better choice. He actually came on a Sunday because he could not fit us in during the week. I did not think he would actually come on a Sunday but the next thing you know there were guys on the roof working.
