They did the work really fast. I made an appointment and they scheduled me for the next week. They came out at about 8 o?clock in the morning. I was at work and I wasn?t there. By the time I got back at around 4.30 they were cleaning everything up and putting everything in the back of their truck. I gave them a check and that was it. It seems like they did a pretty good job. There are no leaks or anything. I had no problems. They were reasonably priced too. I also got an Angie?s List discount which was good.

They were on time and it was a very good job. They were very professional.

I found them online. I had called them because there were bad leaks on the roof. There were 5 different roofers up there and nobody knew how to fix it. So City Wide Roofing put the new roof on. We had a really bad rain storm and there were leaks in exactly the same places as before. So I called them to come out and fix it. We haven?t had any problems so far, but I am waiting to see. We got the new roof installed because we have more than 60 inches of snow in the winter time and there will be water everywhere. I couldn?t put up with that again and so hopefully these two leaks have been fixed now. If they aren?t fixed, then I will call them again because I have a 15 year guarantee with them. If I put anybody else up on the roof, then it would be broken according to the guarantee. So they are the ones who are supposed to fix it. I am retired and I have got the whole day. I will keep calling if I have any problems. I am really happy with them. I was kind of surprised that the roof leaked, but they did come out to fix it. They asked me to call them whenever I had any problems and I told them that I would do that. The water stays outside and not inside now. They were really good from the time I called them for an estimate and until being able to get a hold of them in order to get a response. They cleaned up everything and there was nothing anywhere at all. I do expect that I won?t have any more problems, but if I do, then I would call them. The price that I paid was very good compared to the other estimates that I received. The quality of their work is very good. They came out when they said they were going to come out and in fact, they were here early. I would use their services in the future too. As a matter of fact, they sent me a letter thanking me for my business. They also gave me some coupons which were in the letter. If I know anybody that wants to have any kind of roofing done, then there are a whole bunch of coupons that I can give to people. I have confidence that they will be here if I have any more problems. They are not like a lot of other companies who do the job and disappear.

Wow, another contractor that doesn't know how to use the phone. My husband called on 10/12/10 in order to set up an appointment with City Wide and to explain what roof repairs he had in mind. The person he spoke with assured husband that they (the roofer) would call us on either 10/13 or 10/14 to let us know which date and at what time they would come to our home to do an estimate. On 10/13, while I was in frantic mode looking for a piece of missing athletic equipment for my son who had to be at practice in 10 minutes (and I still had to get him back to school) guess who shows up at my front door ? Surprise! I had no idea who this person was. After a few minutes of confusion, I was able to get my husband on his cell and took the rep to the back so that he could look at the roof while my husband described the problem and exactly what we needed. In short, my husband specified that we wanted a rubber membrane roof in a specific area (he explained this twice, as a matter of fact). What did we get? An estimate for an ice and water shield and shingles which we specifically did not want. In short, no one from this company listened to a word we said. My husband has worked many construction management jobs and knows what he?s talking about and it was insulting that he was not taken seriously. Also, it would behoove all people involved in home construction to call WHEN they say they are going to call. I am sick to death of people in the construction/home repair industry thinking that it is permissible to just show up on someone?s front door without advance warning, especially when it was specifically requested. Needless to say, if I can't trust someone with two simple tasks, I wouldn't trust them to do perform work on my home.

I called one day and they came and gave me an estimate the next day. Great! I talked with Ed O'Neill that I wanted the work done, asked a few questions, and he was going to call me back to schedule the work, after he checked the schedule. Well, I didn't hear back from Ed, was planning on calling him yesterday to discuss a time to schedule it and discuss financing. I decided to swing by my house yesterday for lunch and City Wide Roofing was at my house doing the work. I'm glad the work was done but I wasn't ready to schedule it right away. I wish I would have had notice they were coming and would have been able to discuss the work both before and after. I also didn't have the cash to do this for another few weeks but they were very on top of calling me for payment the very next day. I also did leave a message for the sales person to discuss but of course, never heard back. Because of all this, I'm giving them a C rating. Probably would have rated them higher if it wasn't for the poor communication.

Ed O'Neil was honest, straight-to-the-point, and very helpful when he came for the estimate. Definitely gave me the best price for the work. The receptionists were also thorough and helpful and were able to schedule the work quickly and conveniently. Took off points for professionalism because of the actual roofers themselves. Unfortunately, my property does not have a rear alley/entrance, so workers had to walk through the house multiple times with equipment. Because they were putting on a new roof, some of the tar from the roof was tracked through the house. Also, because of the extensive repair required, drywall on the inside of the home was damaged (but I think that was difficult to avoid). I expressed my concerns to City Wide and they quickly sent out someone to repair the drywall and to remove the tracked tar. Now, everything looks as good as new. They were very professional and helpful! I have to replace my upper roof and will definitely use them again.

They did a good job. Everything went well.

The only problem during the job was that they didn't have the appropriate nails to do the job. I actually had to go to Home Depot and pick up the particular nails. The ending job overall was pretty good but there was one divot in the final project. It could be that it was actually a roofing problem previously there but they didn't point it out to me and I wish they had.

Flat roof replaced with Angie's list discount reflected in cost. The estimator came out the day after first phone call and was courteous and professional. He separated estimates for further work needed in the future as I still have slate roof tiles in need of attention. Very pricey but they guarantee their work. Now we have a maintenance free 15 year rubber roof. The guys who did the work called at 630am and were on the roof by 745am. I only wish they had given me pictures of my new roof like I know other companies do. I would still use them for future work.

Very well: they were prompt, thorough in their estimate, not the cheapest but very reasonable, and they did the work on time and well, professionals throughout.

Salesman came out day after I called. Didn't call back with skylight order status until I called him, but he then returned call to say order was in and crew would be out 7 AM following day. They showed up as promised and completed work by 6 PM. Outside waste was completely cleaned up, but they left a lot of plaster dust inside from breaking thru ceiling.

Excellent service! I needed to repair or replace my 10-year old flat asphalt flat roof. Though I called late in the day for an estimate, they came the very next morning. The estimator took over a dozen digital photos of my roof so that I would understand exactly what needed to be done. He showed me his licenses and insurances and offered me copies I could keep. His estimate for a rubber roof with 15-year guarantee was thorough, detailed and clear. The price was excellent ($2400 minus 10% Angie's List discount) and he offered to install whatever day was convenient for me. He even threw in a complimentary application of silvercoat (aluminum paint) for the porch roof, which didn't require replacement. The roof was installed by two workmen who were among the hardest workers I've ever seen. They were prompt, polite and professional and didn't take a single break until the roof was done (5 hours). They cleaned up so thoroughly you wouldn't even have known they were there. The very next day I received my 15-year guarantee certificate in the mail. I would most definitely recommend City Wide Roofing to anyone.

I called and informed the operator that my roof was leaking and water was getting into my electrical breaker box. She stated the next appointment would be a several days away. I told her I could not wait that long and asked if someone could come out the next day. She called back to confirm the next day appointment. The estimator arrived and I showed him the area of the leak (externally and internally). He noted the reason for the leak and then proceeded to tell me that it could not easily be fixed. He recommended a whole new roof. At my insistance, he estimated the repair at $750 but said he could not guarentee the leak would be fixed. I subsequently hired another roofer (Lee Roofing) for $350 who arrived the next day, performed the repair and guarenteed his work. 12/22/10 - I recently saw this repsonse from City Wide Roofing and would like to answer their question. First, thank you for rearranging your schedule and coming out for the estimate. To answer the question about why the "D" rating. (1) I told your secretary and your estimator that water was leaking on my main electrical panel creating a hazardous situation and neither had a sense of urgency to get the leak fixed before a fire/electrical short occured. (2) I was able to hire a contractor who repaired the leak and Guarenteed his work for less than half the price quoted. This same contractor has since been hired to to install a new 22 square roof on my house. God Bless and sorry you did not get the work in this tough economy.

After calling the company a representative came out to examine my roof damage and gave me an estimate. I called other companies after this but decided on this one because of the price and the amount of work they were going to do .After calling the company with my decision my roof was done the next day in order to prevent further damage from rain. I was very pleased with the promptness and the thoughtfulness, The job was completed in one day and the workers cleaned up very well. I can not say enough good things about this company and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called City Wide Roofing, Inc on Friday May 22, 2010 and asked for a free estimate for a new roof. John Hummel came to my home on Monday May 24th, 2010 and gave me a written estimate. I had previously received two other estimates for this work and his estimate was around the same price so I told them I accept their estimate to do the work. The roofers came back on Wednesday May 26, 2010 and did all of the work. I contacted them about an hour later because of the edge metal that I thought was not fixed. When John came back out on Thursday May 27th, 2010 to review this part, I found out that the edge metal that I wanted fixed and the edge metal he spoke about in the estimate were two different things. But the company was so professional with all the work they had already done that they fixed this part that I wanted done with no extra charge. I was very satisfied.

Had a major roof leak near chimney area on 4th floor deck which is roof to 3rd floor bedroom. Work done was completed within 2 weeks of initial call (1/16). 6 weeks later (3/13), after my insurance had completed all internal repairs ($18,000 worth), there was a new leak (different area) in the 3rd floor bedroom ceiling which is below the newly repaired roof. This leak warped the newly refinished hardwood floor in a 3'x3' area that had just completed 1 week prior. This leak was in a new area where there had never been a water issue,(distant from the original leak) since the roof had been repaired. The only conclusion to make, was that there was a problem with the new roof deck over the bedroom. Over the course of 3 months, 7 phone calls initiated by me (not City Wide-they only returned 2 calls), and 3 people out to look at deck, one missed appointment when I had arranged for someone to be there when I was out of town, they finished "caulking" the roof in an effort to fix the leak. I had to throw a temper tantrum on the phone on the 7th call to get action by this company. During this time, the owner died, and they used that as an excuse as to why it took so long to reply to my requests. I had called 3 times in the weeks prior to the "death", but nobody seemed to care. While I sympathize with this excuse, they are a large company, and I expect only a minor delay for that issue (not 3 months). They also refused to make repairs to the interior damage caused by the leak after the first roof replacement. If you read the fine lines of the contract, there is a statement that says: "we are not responsible for any interior or exterior damage, before, during oar after work is complete." So buyer beware, if your new roof leaks again after they have fixed it, they will bear no responsibility. I would not use this company again, they have horrific customer service if you have a problem! I am still not convinced that they have fixed the problem, as we have not had a pouring rain since they finished 3 months after the initial work was done.

Workmen were polite, efficient and neat. The work was done in one day.

City Wide was very easy to deal with. The estimator went up on my roof and examined the roof and drainage system. He then wrote up a work order detailing what work would be performed and the price. He gave me 10% off for Angie's List. The workmen came on the morning scheduled and completed the work by mid-day. The roof has a 15 year guarantee on materials and workmanship. It has rained since the roof work was done and the leak is fixed.

We have owned this building for many years. We had an excellent roofing company, up until he retired from the business. We then contracted with a company called, Affordable Commerical Roofing. They replaced the roof the fall of 2007. We had nothing but trouble with continual leaks, and a lot of double talk from the roofing company. They tried to throw blame on evetyone and everything but themselves. After looking on Angies list , we contacted City Wide to redo the roof. Ed O'Neill came out, gave the estimate and the guarantee. We have not had one complaint from the tenants since that time. The job came in on time,on budget, and with excellent workmanship.

It didn't go...because they never contacted me.

They were courteous and considerate. They worked quickly and they did a good job cleaning up. There was a tricky area that previous roofers had not done correctly, City Wide did a great job repairing this issue. They gave me a good price! It took me a while to decide if I wanted to have the work done, and he honored the original price he had given me.

They did an excellent job. They were on time, did exactly what they said they would do, and cleaned up after themselves.

I had called around to a few people to fix what seemed to be a problem with the roof where it met the rear walls of the house as during heavy storms water was leaking around this area. After several people came out and gave outrageous quotes to simply repair this part of the roof city wide came out and quoted a cheaper price to replace both roofs entirely! I had heard great things about them both through angies list and people who had work done by them before so decided to go and am very pleased! We had one leak creep up about a month after installation but this was repaired immediately and the roof has now seen numerous large rain storms and several feet of snow without any leaks! Highy highly highly recommend these guys!

Bid was very competitive, but representative was not as professional or knowledgable as other companies. Went with a slightly higher bid and a firm who seemed more competent. Owner called to follow up after we notified we'd taken our business elsewhere. Nice gesture, but doesn't substitute for lack of training.

Bad experience. A waste of my time.
