They did an excellent job. They cleaned up well after themselves. I was very impressed with them.

The job started slow. Towards the end of the afternoon, all plumbers came out and helped.

When I called bestchoice, they gave me a 3 hour time frame.The woman said if they got my answering machine, to make sure I called back, since they wouldn't come out if they could not reach someone. Well,we were home waiting for 3 hours! they never called until 7 pm. to tell us they weren't coming today. My husband told them not to bother coming, PERIOD!. They describe their buisness as family operated and made a point to tell me to call them, yet we were ignored for 7 hours, apparently forgotten! I would never refer this company to anybody, except to say "STEER CLEAR OF THEM".

Bad experience because they tried to raise the price

I called Best Choice on a weekend when I discovered that one of my toilets was running because the tank wouldn't fill. A technician came out Monday afternoon, and he adjusted the gasket in the tank and replaced a washer. He was very clear about explaining the problem to me. Everything was fine when he left, but a few days later it started running again. I called Best Choice on Saturday morning, and a different technician, Sam, was at my house in an hour. He was very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong. He was also very friendly and professional. Most importantly, he did not try to hide the fact that the work was not done perfectly the first time, and he apologized several times for my inconvenience. There was no charge for the second visit, and he told me that Best Choice always stands behind their work. While it is true that it would have been better to have the job done right the first time, I feel like I got to see the character of the company in this return visit. I would trust them to come do another job again.

Guys did a good job. New concrete is fairly smooth, and they showed me the new pipe before they closed it up. They also showed me that the sewage flow was good by using the camera. Only complaint is that they spilled a bit of concrete on the outside of the house as they were mixing it. They also didn't put up a "curtain" to block some of the dust from coating everything in the basement. I was under the impression that they would do this, but I suppose it was my job. I had a decent bit of cleaning to do after they finished, but I guess that's to be expected for that type of job.

The Tech arrived on time and was very friendly. He explained in Laymen's terms what had to be fixed. He had the part in his truck, so he replaced the pipe immediately. He cleaned up when he was finished. This is my second experience with Best Choice. I would say they are the Best Choice .

They came out on a Tuesday, gave me an estimate and sent out two people the next day to work on the problem. They were dealing with 24 year old pipes and systems. But they did it correctly and again always advising me and showing me what the problems were. They worked extremely hard and I am very happy that I called them Mike Scavo

I called them Friday around 4:30 because my tenants water heater had broken. Someone came out Saturday around 10am and took care of the problem. I wasn't able to be there, but they were able to do everything and bill my credit card. My tenant is a handy man, and was very impressed with the professionalism and service. Will definitely use them again in the future.

We are renovating a foreclosed home that we purchased using 203K Streamline Renovation financing through Wells Fargo. Best Choice came to do an initial estimate, and quoted us $5,000.00 to replace the main stack from the second floor bathroom to the basement; re-do the plumbing in the existing bathroom, including setting the tub/shower; roughing in a "T" to the room next door so that we could eventually put in a second bathroom; and put in water lines to the kitchen for a sink, refridgerator and dishwasher. In order to be able to hire them, we had to have them fill out a lot of paperwork required by Wells Fargo and submit proof of insurance, etc. They were more than happy to go the extra mile and complete all of that, so now they are approved through Wells Fargo for 203K projects. It then took about ten months before we closed, because of issues with the property title. Best Choice hung in there, and did not change their estimate when it came time for us to close. Also, they came back to give us an updated estimate so that we could do all the pipes and drainlines in the second bathroom, which was only another $750.00. Our GC said that was very reasonable. Finally, once they came to do the work, it was necessary to move the radiator lines, which was an unanticipated issue. They agreed to do that for an additional $800.00, which my GC said was also very reasonable. They came when they said they were going to come, and they finished when they said they were going to finish. We are not done with our renovation yet, so we cannot say for sure that everything is working, but so far, everything looks great. They did an excellent job!

The whole experience went very well. The plumber seemed to have some frustration fitting the new bathroom faucet to the old plumbing but he persisted and made it work. It looks great and works perfectly. The toilet works perfectly too. I am writing this six months later and I am still very happy with the quality of work and the professionalism of the plumber. One additional item: I asked the plumber to fix a banging noise I heard whenever the dishwasher was filling. He told me it was a problem with the dishwasher not the plumbing. I didn't believe him but when I got the dishwasher serviced, I found out the plumber did know what he was talking about. I was impressed with that and appreciated his expertise. There was a misunderstanding about the price. The plumber quoted me one price and the call taker told me a higher price. In the end, they agreed to the lower price. I felt that I was dealt with fairly. As expensive as plumbing is, I thought this was a fair price for the amount of work done and the quality of the work.

I made an appointment to get an estimate for a leaking bath tub. They cancelled the appointment on me three times, the last time at 8:55 when my appointment was scheduled between 6 and 9

Discovered dripping ceiling on floor below bathroom on Dec5. I found Best Choice on Angies List and they were able to send a plumber that afternoon. He thought the problem could be from a broken toilet seal. For $125 he lifted the toilet to find a perfect seal. He added a new seal to the old and bolted the toilet back in place. 3 days later the ceiling was still dripping. On Dec 8 a 2nd plumber from the company came after 8pm. For an additional $250. he opened the ceiling, found a pinhole leak which he repaired, but a new leak opened right next to it. Each time he repaired a leak a new hole appeared. It was after 10 when he contacted his boss to get an estimate to replace all of the soft copper pipes going into the bathroom - we agreed upon an additional $750 (and I was happy to see a 5 year guarantee on material and workmanship). The next morning the plumber returned at 8:30 and opened several large holes in the ceiling. He worked without stopping and by 4pm all of the soft copper pipes going to the tub, sink and toilet were changed and the leaking had stopped. Both plumbers tried to fix the leak in the most efficient way, but unfortunately that just didn't work. If you use this company protect your floors and furnishings before they begin as they only bring in a few plastic garbage bags which provide little protection when ceiling plaster, old grout, welding debris and water begins to fall on your floor and furnishings.

I called them to set up an appointment to look at my heat. They said they would charge a $100 just for the appointment "because the weather was poor" -- seems rather predatory

They had to totally dig up the water main to turn the water off. It only took the man 15 minutes to replace the valve. They are a very good crew of people. Their responsiveness and professionalism is great and they were quick in calling me back even though it was a holiday weekend.

The two plumbers showed up on time and reviewed with me the work scheduled to be done before they started. They immediately got to work and were very professional in their actions and demeanor. The only snag came when they discovered that the washer for the faucet they were installing for the new tub was cracked. This occurred after they had installed it and discovered that the faucet leaked. They took off for lunch and bought a new washer at the local hardware store which did not fit. So they simply installed an entirely new faucet. Since the installation all the components have been working perfectly. My wife and I are especially pleased with the new tub and drainage system. The drainage system leaves absolutely no water in the tub like the old one did and we no longer get a bad odor from left over water. If I have any more plumbing jobs I will definitely contact Best Choice.

My call was taken by a friendly and casual individual who dispatched a plumber to my apartment within an hour who showed up with what he needed, didn't make a fuss about having to find parking in a busy city, and fixed the toilet in a few minutes.

If you are considering hiring Best Choice do a detailed inspection of the area that was worked on before they leave. Before I noticed the crack I was completely satisfied with the job and the estimate for the curb repair. I am disappointed that they would not replace the toilet that they broke and stand by there mistake.

They were very up front about the price. They took the time to lay everything out for me. I like that instead of trying to show my everything in person they were willing to email me the information as well. The price was very good our of everyone who I contacted.

I got the estimate while they were unclogging my sewer line. I called that evening to OK the work and the contract was faxed and returned in minutes with a start time for the next morning. The workers arrived exactly as scheduled. They were fast, breaking up concrete to remove the basement pipe and put a drain in the patio. The job looks great, concrete refinished, all the cast iron pipes removed and basement and patio swept clean. All done in under 6 hours. I'm very happy with the job.

I was really satisfied with Best Choice's work. I called Best Choice late morning and they were able to send someone that afternoon for an estimate. I was pleased with the estimate and when I asked when he (Anthony) could make the repair, I was surprised that he could do it at that very moment. It took about an hour for the repair. I would recommend Best Choice for your plumbing needs.

They did good work but they were very messy. They took all the things they needed to take but the mess they made because of the drainage was not good. I was disappointed because of this. Other than the mess though, they were good.

Initially I called because I had no hot water - no leaking from tank or other easily identifiable problem. I contacted Best Choice and they gave me a date and time - which they didn't arrive during the day. However, I did receive two follow-up calls: one to confirm the first time and a second call to say they had scheduling problem and needed to reschedule (left on voice mail). I didn't return the inital voice mail and I received a second voice mail as a follow-up. I did reschedule and they arrived on the planned day. Although I hadn't asked for this in advance, when the plumber showed up I asked about a new tank with greater capacity. I live in a condo and space is at a premium. Mike measured the space, provided me with the cost, and agreed the space could hold a larger tank. He secured the tank that day and installed. It was not a clean fit due to the storage space, wood panels and connections. Mike diligently worked through the problem creatively and with no alteration to the physical space. He spent several hours fitting in the low boy tank and refitting the connections. He took care of the surrounding space and no mess left behind. He then went on to clearing a tub drain even though I am sure he spent more time than expected on the installation. A few bumps in getting out to the job but there was always follow-through with the office staff and the work was done well. I would definitely use this company again.

They did a good job. They were the lowest estimate I received. They were very fair and did good work. I would definitly use them again in the future.
