I called his office and we was paged to call me back. I had to call twice, but he was still the first plumber (of the three I called) to call me back. He came out the next day (I had told him that it is not an emergency).

On Tuesday, January 6, 2009, I left a message with Susan for someone to return my call to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Susan stated Andy was available Monday, January 12th but she needed to verify his availability. On Wednesday, January 7, 2009, called Andy's Plumbing and Heating again approximately 5:30 pm-twice my phone call was disconnected. On Thursday, January 8, 2009, I contacted Andy's Plumbing and Heating again and spoke with Susan. I told her the service I needed and provided an address. Susan stated that Andy services my area and that he will call me back to schedule an appointment. Andy was still available to visit my home on Monday, January 12th. On Saturday, January 10, 2009, Andy called and asked what service I needed, the location of my property, and my availability. I answered his questions and Andy promised to call back to schedule an appointment. Today is now Wednesday, January 14th, and I have not heard from neither Susan nor Andy.

They were organized and their quote was the lowest. They did a good job.

I had water backed up in my basement from a clogged city water drain after days of rain and backups. I called Andy's, left a message and my call was promptly returned. They did not have anyone available but they referred me to another company, Jay Michael Fay Corp., which did a terrific job. I will definitely call Andy for plumbing problems and Fay Corp. for drainage.

We were very satisfied with the service.

The service was good but the price is questionable. The quality of work was good and the workers were fine. Just be wary of the prices.

The lady who answered the phone was great - I had to reschedule once and she was very courteous and helpful. My final appointment was for 8am on a Friday and everything was completed within about 30 minutes. Great work! I'm not up on pricing, but it seems fair (includes a warranty) and was well worth the service!

Our kitchen sink was leaking and we could not use it...of course we were having a party that weekend (this was a Wednesday). I placed a call Wednesday night - they came Thursday morning by 9:00 a.m. and fixed not only the double sink but the leaky garbage disposal as well. While they were there we told them about a problem with a dripping shower which they looked at. They returned on Friday morning and repaired the shower which had leaked for 3 years and were told by another contractor that in order to fix we'd have to do some major plumbing work. In addition to fixing the leak they also adjusted the water pressure which resolved our issues with flushing toilets (we live in an old house)!

It went well. I was very impressed that Andy met me so early in the morning and he fixed me heating problem in no time.

They were very courteous and very prompt. They did good work, I was very satisfied. I would absolutely use them again in the future. I would recommend them to others.

John from Andy's came out again (same gentleman who came out last year). John arrived on time and was very friendly. I explained to him that I need a radiator installed, or if the one I had would not work that I would need to buy one. He took a look at my setup, and said that he would call with an estimate. Two weeks went by, and I never heard from him or anyone at Andy's. I called Andy's after two weeks, and they told be that John was not in, but that he would give me a call. Still no call. I understand if I had a job that they did not want to do, but a call back would be great. Do not promise an estimate, and then not deliver. This looks like a trend with Andy's as I read through these other reviews. It is ashame. Last time I gave them all A's, not this time.

Andy is great, finally, a plumber you can actually trust (I hadn't had the best experience in the past). There was a miscommunication at first about what time/day he was supposed to come but, once we got it squared away he fixed everything. Most importantly,everything is still working!

I called Andy's Plumbing because I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling. He came the day after I called to provide an estimate and it only took him 5 minutes to locate the problem -- a leaking seal around a pipe connected to the bathtub drain. Because someone had applied a temporary fix by putting epoxy over the joint, Andy wasn't sure they would be able to free the pipe and advised me that it might become a larger project if removing the pipes affected the other old pipes in the drainage system (all pipes were original to my 1920s house). He provided an estimate for the potential larger project as well, just in case. Before he left, he fixed a blocked pipe under my utility sink in the basement and offered me advice about replacing my washer hoses as well. Due to my schedule, we set a work date for a week later. Andy and his crew arrived as scheduled and replaced the bathtub drain without issue. They also installed new water hoses to my washer and left the place immaculate. I can't say enough good things about the courteous, professional, and most of all, competent service I received. These guys know what they're doing! It's such a relief to have a competent, reliable plumber with reasonable rates. I plan to use them for all my future plumbing needs.

I called to set up the appointment for someone to come out and look at it. John came out to give the quote and he couldn't have been nicer. They were supposed to call me back to schedule a date for the actual work to be done, but I didn't hear from them for a few days so I ended up having to call them which is the reason for the "B" in responsiveness. Only a minor complaint, not a big deal at all. John and Andy came to do the work, they were in and out quickly and did a great job. Andy also gave me some great advice on an issue with mushrooms growing in one of our showers. Both guys were extremely nice and professional and I will use them again in the future.

Good initial contact, but never returned call.

They didn't get back to me as fast I would have liked them to. When they came out to do the work, they where very professional. They did very nice work. I would use them again.

They came to investigate another plumbing problem and also to give me an estimate for a new heating system. They explained their assessment of the heating requirements and said they would send an estimate. Following that visit, I called them three times to remind them I had not received their estimate; I NEVER got it!

I called them to come fix a pipe that another plumber had worked on. It started leaking thru the ceiling again. The origanal plumber stated that it was another plumber and wanted to charge more. Andy's plumbing stated that they did not see any problems. They where very honest and told me that if I should have a problem to call them back.

Andy was prompt and professional after I contacted him concerning a leak coming from my upstairs bathroom. He surveyed the area and began isolating the leak instantly. He is returning next week to further inspect the area and determine the extent of the damage. At that time, we'll have a better idea of the estimate for the work. Andy has also serviced my gas heater for the last three years. I've always been impressed with his punctuality, knowledge, and workmanship.

Initially it was not very good. We had an appointment scheduled and they didn't show up or call. I called them and they couldn't find the guy who was supposed to do the job. I asked her if she knew of anyone else from their company that was still out in the field that could come that day, but she didn't, so we rescheduled for a week later. The person they sent was very nice, professional, answered all of our questions, and completed the job. I would give an A on professionalism for the person who came, but an F for the person who was originally supposed to. The only reason I rescheduled was because of the favorable reports that were posted about this company on Angie's List. I was giving them a second chance.

They were very friendly and really helpful. They were extremely respectful and professional about being inside my house and cleaned up any mess that they made.

Our bathtub was always a little slow (bought the house about 1 year ago), but it had gotten much slower over the last couple of months. We were at the point where the drain would only go down when we removed the overflow plate and plunged the tub. The tub would take half a day to drain after each person showered. We had previously tried a different plumber, but he was never able to clear the drain. I found Andy's Plumbing on Angie's List. We contacted them and easily made an appointment that was convenient for us. John, who was very punctual and friendly, handled the job. After inspecting the drain, he stated that due to our drain pipe being small and back pitched, we will probably continue to have problems with the drain from time to time. The other plumber that we dealt with had told us that the only way to clear the drain was by breaking up the floor and replacing the plumbing for the tub. John was able to clear the drain after snaking it a few times. He made sure that the drain went down with and without the overflow plate. I was so happy to see that swirl as the water went quickly down the drain. We have a 30 day warranty on the work. He easily fixed the leaking toilet. He knew that the particular brand that we had usually has problems with the third bolt and that was the exact location of the problem. He tightened the bolt without any problem and for no additional charge. He even gave me a tip regarding avoiding toilet tab cleaners like 2000 flushes because they erode the porcelain. He looked at our 3rd floor bathroom and was going to send us an estimate that we are still waiting on. I am not sure about the price, but compared to what he have paid the other plumber who was never able to clear it as well as the work they were planning on doing, Andy's plumbing definitely saved us some money. Overall, I am very happy with the service. Our tub is still running free and clear!

I have had Andy's plumbing do work once before. Very professional/ personable/ capable/ reasonable. No problems.

They do wonderful work and they are fair. They always come when they say they will. I recommend him to everyone and everyone always says they are very pleased with his service. An extremely positive experience. I think he has a great deal of integrity as well as expertise. He is very reliable.

Andy's came out to give me an estimate for replacing a gas boiler several weeks ago on a Friday. He indicated that he would have a written estimate the following week but never provided one or got back to me.
