Initially there was one small problem, they were scheduled to come and didn't make it the first time. Then when they did come he had all the tools and repaired everything on the spot.

They sent a plumber to look at the problem within a day of my calling and the problem was fixed that day. He had to remove the toilet, replace the flange and re-attach the toilet. The plumber cleaned up after himself, was friendly and did a great job. We have not had any problems since the repair. I'm not sure if the price was high or not but as the work was done so quickly and without any inconvenience to our family, I think it's money well spent.

Everything was completed as I was told and at the time specified. No complaints.

John from Andy's was great. He arrived on time and was very friendly. He checked out the pump, and was instantly trying to save me money. He suggested that the pump was still good, and just needed a motor. Replacing just the motor would save time and money since the entire system would not have to be drained (old radiator system.) John had to run back to the shop to get the new motor. He was back within 20 minutes. He went down to my basement with a time estimate of 1 to 1.5 hours. Twenty minutes later he came back up from the basement with the dreaded words "let me show you what's going on." My heart sank, but then he said it was a good thing. Turns out, the pump and the motor were both fine. The propeller on the motor had just failed. This of course saved me even more money. All in all, the job could not have gone better. It would have been very easy for John/Andy's to replace the entire pump, or the entire motor, but they went out of their way to only do the necessary work!

John from Andy's rebuilt my 30 year old toilet, replacing the flushing stuff and even the feed line, only the ceramic parts were untouched. He did a great job and I got a 5 year parts and labor warranty! Wow! Thank you! Another plumbing outfit told me the toilet had "died" and needed to be completely removed and replaced--for $500! There was nothing wrong with the ceramic part and it was solidly seated. In a house as old as mine, you don't mess with that! It's good for many years to come. I was really pleased and I found them on the list!

After leaving a message, he returned my call promptly. When I described problem he said it sounded simple and he thought it would not cost more than $150, but if it did exceed that amount, he would call and explain. He completed the job and sent what I considered a very reasonable invoice. A previous experience with a plumber, NOT on your list, charged me $275 to turn on gas, perfunctorily check the heater and install stainless hoses to washer.

It went fabulously. I called the company on a "football" Sunday afternoon, not expecting to get an answer. The service did pick up and let me know that a technician would call back. Andy called back about 3 hours later. He asked if it were an emergency to which I responded no. He promised I would be his second call the next day, which was the MLK holiday. Andy came out diagnosed the problem and told me what the entire cost would be. He had to take the blower but would be back the next day. I was his first call on the scheduled day. Andy came to my house at 8:00 and by 8:30 he was done. The heater is working very nicely. But if not, I have a 2 year warranty.

It went well. He answered and questions that I had. He wasn't impatient and did not make me feel rushed; good experience. He was professional. He took my Visa and gave me a receipt. I was pleased.

Working with them was great! John was friendly, funny and helpful. He charged us to fix the leaking toilet and for everything else he said there were quick fixes that would only take a couple minutes, which he did for us. He also told me how to do the bathroom caulking myself, because he said what we needed wasn't major. It was great that he was trying to help us save money. He also really knew what he was doing. I felt like my money was well spent, they were very honest and friendly and I would definitely use them for any future plumbing needs.

I called on Monday morning Dec. 31st. Despite being New Year's Eve, John, from Andy's, called back quickly and said he'd be here between 1 and 2. In fact, he was early. He did the work quickly, showing me in detail what the problem was (with suggestions about how to avoid future problems), and showed me all the parts he replaced. He was friendly, capable, and very careful to clean up behind him. It was a small job but needed to be done and I know he did it well.

John arrived promptly, set right to work and had the immediate problem (kitchen sink leak) fixed quickly. Then we went through my checklist of small leaks, adjustments that needed handling in this 100+ year old house. John listened carefully to my concerns to maintain the "antique" character of the fixtures; he even custom adapted some screws to fit the old faucets! One set of faucets was deemed not worth repairing, John advised me to get new ones and had suggestions on where to find ones that would fit the antique quality that I'd like to preserve in my home. The faucets don't leak anymore, the pipes don't shudder anymore and I'm very happy with the work that was done. I asked John's advice on a future project, installing an antique mop sink in my mudroom and he wrote down the specifications for an odd piece that he would have to find to install it. I look forward to hiring Andy' Plumbing again!

Andy actually called and asked if I minded if he arrived at the job early. This is unheard of but very welcomed. He arrived when he said he would, was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. He installed the water heater in a timely manner and left the job site clean. I have already planned with him to do more work in my house.

It went very well. John came out and looked over the situation. He called with an estimate which was $1500 less than other plumbing contractors. He was friendly and honest and answered all of our questions. He gave us an appointment that suited our schedule and they came on time and finished on time. They were careful and neat and took a great deal of time to explain what they were doing. We were very satisfied.

Andy was great! He fixed the sloppy amateurish plumbing performed by some guy I had hired who was masquerading as a contractor. Large quantities of bath water began leaking behind the tub and through the kitchen ceiling. Although he was swamped with calls and didn't have help on hand, Andy managed to make it to my house by the end of the day to diagnose the problem. While there, he quickly fixed a leak in the basement. We agreed on a set time for the following day for him to fix the tub drain. He showed up when he said he would, installed a new tub drain, and together we came up with a long-term strategy for dealing with the bum plumbing job the last guy stuck me with. He was terrific. I was worried that he was going to have to open the newly installed glass tile bathroom floor to get at the problem, but he worked around all the new fixtures in the bathroom. He was a solutionist and a great comfort.

He is honest and knowledgeable in his field. He's also quick to respond in emergency situations.

I had just heard about Angie's list while watching TV on my day off. I quickly logged in and became a member. Over the past year we had nothing but bad experiences with contractors. So I was looking for feed back from other people. I looked under plumbing, located Andy's Plumbing and called the office. The secretary was very nice and advised me she would have someone call me. Within a half hour, John was at my front door. He looked at the job and advised me of the price to fix it. The job was done within 30 minutes. Job was cleaned up.

The man that came was very professional and knowledgeable about many different topics as it applied to plumbing. He gave us good tips as to the use of our dishwasher.

I called the company on Monday, July 9, 2007. Andy called me back in about 30 minutes. I told him that I notice water behind the toilet, and it appeared to be coming from the joint that connects the bowl to the toilet. He asked if there was much water and I said no. I told him that I would be home all day Friday, July 13th. He said he would get a new toilet and install it on Friday afternoon. On Friday, John arrived on schedule, installed the new toilet and removed the old one in about an hour.

He was a nice guy (John), very friendly and efficient. We had gotten a previous estimate of $150 from another company.

Actually spoke with a person, not machine, when I made first call, and set up a visit for 3 days later. He was on time, clean, and thorough. Very nice. Will call again.

Finally, after our kitchen faucet had been suffering from a small leak for years, we tried to fix it ourselves. Unfortunately, we only made it worse - to the point were the sink was barely usable. I called Andy's plumbing, since they seemed to have a reasonable rep and were based in our neighborhood. The person I spoke with was pleasant and told me she would have the plumber call back. Andy called back right away, and was at my house within 30 minutes. They determined that they needed to replace the whole faucet and offered to do so that afternoon for $325. Although the price seemed high (the faucet listed for around $100, and the work took slightly over an hour for two people), they fixed the faucet right away and it is a pleasure to now have a faucet which works as it should. While I might hire the company again in a pinch, I have worked with less expensive plumbers who also do a fine job.

After two calls to his office with no idea of when I would get an estimate, I decided to go with a different plumber. I did not have a good feeling about him doing the work if he was not able to get the estimate to me promptly.

I had an appointment scheduled for 8 AM so I took off from work. I got a call the afternoon before saying that they needed to push it back a little bit but that they would be there later in the morning. I called at 9:30 that morning to see when they would be here, and the receptionist said they were trying to make it by 11 but they had a bigger job so she didn't know. I called back three or four times throughout the day and she kept saying she didn't know where they were. I didn't hear back from them that day and they never showed up, no apology or anything.

Andy was running a little late and called ahead to let me know. He discounted my bill due to the delay (only 45 minutes). He explained what they were doing and educated me on my heating system. I was pleased with his professionalism and friendly nature.

They arrived promptly for the first consultation, seemed friendly and appeared professional and eager to take on the work. They promised an estimate within a day or two. Two weeks and many beseeching phone calls later I gave up. They never again returned my calls. I work in the service industry as well and a short phone call, even to say, "We're too busy to get to you now," goes a long, long way.
