America's Best, Inc

Very disappointing all around. First, America's Best does not seem to be a company that does the work themselves, but contracts out to local companies, or at least that happened in my case. So you don't really know who you are hiring. Before I bought the deal I checked out the ratings for America's Best and they were good. But the company that came out was not America's Best, but a small local company that I would have never hired directly. There were two workers: the man doing the outside cleaning seemed pretty good, but the woman inside was awful. She sloshed water from her pail wherever she was working, wanted to climb on top of furniture to get to the windows (i.e. no ladder!), complained about an injury that made it difficult for her to do the work, and did a bad job cleaning. When I pointed out where the windows were still dirty, her stock reply was that it wasn't dirty but mineral deposits; when I was able to easily scratch it off with a fingernail she would clean it. She did not replace the screens properly, and when I pointed this out, she said she had; when I touched them they fell out, and I had to replace them myself. Finally, when she left I noticed a white water ring on the hardwood floor in the living room where she had set down the pail! So I had to deal with fixing this as well. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes. Totally not worth it, even though this was an Angie's "deal." The only reason I am not giving all "F's" is because the outside work was fairly decent.

Arrived on time, did the work well and in a timely manner.

The gentleman who serviced my house seemed friendly enough. His name wasn't on any paperwork that was left behind so I don't have it. However, the windows, while cleaner than when he started, were full of smudges in the corners and in some cases, around the handles. After he left I had to wipe up dirty water marks from the sills, the frames, and even the walls between windows. I am glad the windows are done but disappointed in the quality and the mess.

They did a good job, I was very pleased.

There was one man for the outside of the windows and 2 woman for the inside which was really too many people for a smallish job. I had purchased the Angie's List Package for 20 window's inside and out and I upgraded to have more inside windows done. The windows that were cleaned were done well. There was one somewhat hard to access window on the back of my house that the guy outside decided not to do. This made the whole group of windows in that area not look very good at the end of the job. I have had other window cleaners out in the past that did clean out the debris from that window.

I had a very difficult time trying to schedule the service. On my first phone call, the date changed 3 times. After getting a date, I received an email stating that the time they would be at my house was being changed. Then shortly before the date they were scheduled to perform the service, they emailed that the date was being changed again. At that point, I cancelled the service completely. I also didn't realize that the company is based in another state and contracts with local people to perform the service, but there is no way to communicate with or check out the local people, everything is done through the company.

They did call once to come back and finish but I was not avaiable. Now that weather is starting to warm up, I don't know how to get ahold of them. there is a number in California on Angies Website but as I am trying to resolve this now it is 6 am there. I wanted to go directly to Angies List for resolution but the "Contact Us" button returns nothing but a blank screen. I would really like to get this resolved without publihing this bad review.

Done with proffesionalism. Had extra windows done and was very pleased with results.

I contacted the company to determine whether or not they would service the area I live in, and they will. I plan to use the Deal to have my second story windows cleaned within the next couple of weeks.

Very well, besides the ladder experience and the fact that I had to check and correct a mistake on the invoice (she had calculated too many windows).

We had to reschedule a couple of times because of weather conditions, not their fault. mothernature just didn't want to cooperate. When the weather finally cleared they should up right at the time they were scheduled and did their job and cleaned up. All in all it was a great experience.

The man was a real gentleman and worked diligently to complete the job.

Very courteous guys x 2. Came and knocked it out in about an hr. We had 20 or so windows. They cleaned them I'd say 9 out of 10. As there was imperfections on just about every window that should have been cleaned. They even left on tiny window in the addition but it only took me 2 minutes to clean on my own. They did do a few things extra like clean my 9-light doors which wasn't part of the scope BUT overall I'm very pleased and would recommend them.

I wasn't satisfied with America's Best, Inc at all. They were very rude and it was very difficult to communicate with them. I think the workers were hardworking, I think the people who were working for the person who was in charge were certainly hard working but I guess he was rude. I would not use them again in the future. They missed certain things, they just did do it and eventually I had to twist their arms to get things done. The punctuality was good, they were on time and their professionalism was poor.

Scheduling done in Califorinia, they have Franchised groups they work with. This group was on time and had enough people to do the job (3). They arrived on time and were curtious. Windows Cleaning: We were not told about removing the screens from the windows so we had a mad dash to get them off and out of the way. They were very good at cleaning the windows after that. Siding powerwashing - they had the right equipment, but we had to initially supervise them to make sure they understood how clean to get it. They had started to gloss over it too fast in the beginning and we pointed out some places they missed before they go to far along. Some resistance initially which is where the professionalizm drops off, but they did cleaned up the ones missed and the rest came out fine. CON: Not sure where the informing us to remove the screens would come in. Should have been at Sceduling time. Once scheduled, no pre-calls or follow-up. Overall: job was done well.

They were early to do the job. They did a great job and were very polite. They were very careful. I would definitely use them again.

They arrived very late. Also, there is a bit of a bait and switch. Read the fine print on this before you get them. They were very fast cleaning the windows and very friendly. One guy was really really sweaty to the point he was dripping on my floors.

I am extremely disappointed that I needed almost 6 months to get someone to show up to use my Groupon. I asked for a refund because of the difficulty in scheduling which they would not provide. On the other service of window cleaning, the actual cleaning of the windows was good. The issue was the damage to the newly painted window trim. I ended up having to have the painter come back and re-paint several windows. The biggest issue was that one worker, who said she was the girlfriend of the on site manager, was sick. She almost seemed to be drugged. She was wondering the house, spilling water, and making me very uncomfortable.

The crew arrived on time and were very professional. I have old windows with individual panes, plus screens and storm windows. I usually clean them myself but it takes a very long time. With large trees they get dirty easily so when I saw this price I jumped on it for my upstairs windows. Because they count 20 "sides" - so that would mean10 windows inside and out not including storm windows) I chose the ones that made the most sense. So they came in and took out all of the storm windows to do that. Most of the crew stayed out side and one woman stayed inside. They worked efficiently and did a great job. The only bad part was that meant I had to keep all the storm windows out so I could clean them and then put them back in myself. They could have cleaned them as well but it would have been another $16 per window. I thought that was too steep and did it myself. But it was definitely worth it just to get the outside of all my 2nd story windows clean!

See above. Next time I need professional window cleaning, I'll go to them.

A nice amenity at a good price.

I would have expected that the remnants of the old stain would have been fully removed after power washing but they weren't. I would recommend completing the pre-cleaning with a chemical to remove the stain if you are prepping to stain your deck again.

I purchased the deal for gutter cleaning and at first was surprised because the date I was given for an appointment seemed far in the future. But when the day came we had bad weather and the person contacted me early so I didn't stay and wait all day and we rescheduled. When that day came we again had weather too bad for someone to be up on a ladder cleaning gutters. Finally a day came with sunshine and I was called and given a window of start time. They showed up right on time did their job and left. Everything was clean and you wouldn't know they were here. I will definitely use them again.

They arrived within the time frame they stated. I thought they did a good job, however, they charged me an additional $66 because of "muttons," the wood that separate the window into panes. That wasn't explained when I call America's Best to make the appointment. It cost me a total of $165. .
