The whole experience was excellent. When Warnie first came to my home to quote, he arrived on time, was professional and courteous, and he explained what the work involved and each step, including the need for a permit which he would request. Afterwards he provided a detailed written quote. I received other quotes but was most impressed with Warnie and his quote was very reasonable, so I contacted him to begin the work. Warnie came to my home with the paperwork for me to sign and I paid him a deposit, and the work was scheduled within a couple of days. The work was completed quicker than I expected which was great since the power had to be shut off. In addition to pulling the permit, Warnie scheduled the inspector, at my convenience, and the work passed inspection. I will absolutely use Goodside Electric for any future electrical work that I may need.

Warnie was top notch. He met me on Friday, developed a plan and had his employee come out Monday to complete the job. He really saved me as, in order to close, this was the final step on the inspection addendum. Very easy to communicate with and really stepped up to the plate to make sure this was handled as efficiently as possible. Thank you!

Warren promised to come out and asked that I wait 1 month maybe a little more before he could get to me, I agreed because I trusted him and his work because he did fix 3 - 4 outlets that were not working. So I was VERY shocked when Warren did not show up at all or respond to my voicemail and text. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Excellent customer service! Warren was great to work with from the initial phone call until the work was completed. I was having the work done to accommodate new appliances, and he made it a priority to the do the job before they were delivered. He ran into a lit bit of a problem running the wire and had to go get some additional supplies while his helper Ron (also great) kept working. Despite this, he didn't charge above his initial estimate. I will definitely be giving him a call for any future work.

Outstanding!! Warnie worked me into his busy schedule and arrived close to the expected time (called to let me know he’d be a few minutes late). As he worked -he was very kind to share his knowledge about what he was doing and about current electrical codes (I tend to ask a lot of questions and he was very patient with me). At the conclusion-it was a VERY reasonable price. Overall an enjoyable service experience and Warnie was a really enjoyable person.

I NEVER write reviews - who has time for that? Goodside Electric, however, is worth the few minutes! They are excellent! First of all, I found Goodside through Angie’s List. We called several other area electricians. Some never returned the call or quoted much higher rates. I called Goodside Electric and Warren returned my call within an hour, gave me a rough estimate, and scheduled an appointment within a week! Warren is very professional! He arrived on time, was very friendly and courteous, and explained everything that he was going to do - in detail. He did an excellent job! Also, he gave us a great rate! NO NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER! Goodside Electric is the only choice for quality and affordable electrical service repairs! We would recommend Goodside Electric without hesitation. We are completely satisfied with the work he performed on our home and would hire Goodside Electric again in a heartbeat!

In the spring I reviewed Angie's list for electricians of good standing. I selected Warren Goodwin and for a very reasonable fee he diagnosed the problem as being in the old underground line from house to garage. I asked Warren to price installation for restoring power to the garage and I ultimately accepted his proposal. The job included running new wire from our basement breaker box to a carefully drilled hole in our back basement wall and then into an eighty foot run of buried pvc pipe out to a junction box near the garage. Additional wiring connects this box to the interior of the garage. Since my long range plans for the garage are uncertain, I asked Warren to do the minimum work possible within the garage there to restore the previous functionality. Warren completed all this work in the scheduled timeframe. He was very well organized and his communication has been great. He is courteous and friendly and cleaned up after the job. What more can you ask? He's now my go-to guy for future electrical work.

Warren impressed us with his responsiveness, returning all communications promptly and explaining every step of the process extremely clearly. He gave us plenty of unbilled time to examine our situation to prepare a detailed estimate. He worked steadily and efficiently with an assistant to finish the work in one day instead of the planned two, and stood by his work. We would definitely use him again and recommend him as to others as an honest contractor who is easy to deal with and does good work. Our job stemmed from a short in old knob-and-tube wiring causing some electrical outages in our first-floor rental apartment that another master electrician could not diagnose in two hours of troubleshooting. Rather than spend more money trying to locate the fault, we went with Warren to replace the old wiring with two new circuits and new receptacles. His price was a bit better than the one from the first electrician we consulted. Running new wiring from the wall switch to the ceiling fixture turned out to be a messy job involving opening up the ceiling and small part of the wall, requiring us to get a plasterer to close up the gash. Warren always warned us very clearly that this would be a messy part of job and would require us to arrange for "patching" the hole and that he did not handle that, only the electrical work. Warren tried to avoid this and save us money and trouble, but demonstrated to our satisfaction that the existing wiring did not have connectivity so this could not be avoided.
