Description of Work: This review has taken along time to come out because I have been torn as to how to write it up. This company is a contradiction of terms with regard to professionalism and quality. Carpentry work was good to very good. Electrician was excellent. Trim work was exceptional. Communication from the office to carpenters and workers as to what was to be done was atrocious. We were constantly being told the carpenters "had made a field decision" that changed the specs because they thought this or that "would look better". I personally believe the specs were never communicated to the workers. The job was to build a 28' X 30' sunroom with a full basement underneath. We were told it would start in the beginning of May and be a 4-5 week project. It did start on time but it seemed that every item was "backordered". Finally in the end of September we asked them to finish what they were currently working on, cancel all remaining backordered items and we would finish the project ourselves. Issues that had "field decisions" made: radon pipe placed on wrong side of basement, porches built to wrong dimensions, porch floor joist on wrong centers, windows left out of end wall, smaller windows installed than agreed upon, wrong swing on French doors, trenching for underground wiring not done before sidewalk poured, duct work for future kitchenette not installed (after the drywall was up we were told "no problem, we can do that later"). The final straw was the installation of 36" high porch railing when we had requested 42". We were told the guys had made another "field decision" to use the 36" because it would "look better" but we would be required to pay for the 42 " also since it was a special order and could not be returned. If you are working with Jeff and the carpentry crew this is a great company. If you have to deal with Rick Steele run as fast as you can to find another contractor. We should have gotten a clue about what we were dealing with when we could never get any drawings from him because his "computer wouldn't start" and he could never "get his drawing program to open" to show us the proposal. Also, right in the beginning, when he sent us a drawing of the scissors truss we were going to use I noted that it was the wrong pitch and he blamed it on the truss company. In retrospect, I doubt there ever were any drawings for our project and that it was too small of a project to be anything but a fill in for them. Another issue with the office practices that I found unethical with their office practices was the fact that every time they asked for a draw on the project they had a check within 24 hours, but sometimes they did not pay their bills early for the discount or even on time but would take the penalty for paying late and add that penalty to our bill after adding an additional 8% for profit and overhead for the business.

Description of Work: My wife spoke with one of the representatives on the phone about getting an estimate for gutters and fascia all around our house and she said the guy was ignorant on the phone to her asking her if she would be getting other estimates. My wife told the guy that it was none of his business at which time the person replied with " Well I'm just letting you know that we wont be the cheapest ". After all that I still ended up having the guy come out to take a look and give me an estimate and I showed him around the house and showed him exactly what I wanted and that I did not want the gutters fastened with the metal straps that nail to the bottom row of shingles. The guy told me that with my type of roof pitch that it would be impossible to use hidden fasteners. I knew this was not true and in fact 2 other companies that I had out and look at my house told me that hidden fasteners with gutter wedges would be the way to go. So then the guy told me that he would walk around the house and get the measurements he needed for what I wanted and I agreed and walked into the house at which time the guy got into his truck without getting any measurements and drove off. Needless to say I never heard from there company again.....very disappointed in this companies service!

Description of Work: Epic construction put a new roof on our large home, the roof had a lot of angles and a steep pitch. They also did some repairs to some siding and trim and replaced some gutters and downspouts in a problem area.

Description of Work: Had two meetings to discuss possible home building. Very professional, punctual, responsive, and easy to work with. Pleased with discussions and looking to move forward with the company to plan home construction. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: When I became ill there were 5 unfinished projects I was unable to complete: basement stairwell - repair and repaint, storm storm installations, interior garage painting and finishing, basement foyer - ceiling - floor- lights - paint, etc, basement bathroom - install ceiling, paint walls - fan/light and duct work, etc.

Description of Work: Epic is putting in a new (addition) ADA bathroom for my wife. Everything from start to finish.
