Terminix - Newtown -Termite & Pest Control

About 25 years ago, we had what I thought were termites but it turned out to be carpenter ants, which is just as bad, or maybe worse. We went with them probably because they were the only company that we had heard most about. We called them and had the house treated, and they got rid of the ants. My wife is extra-conscious about bugs and that is why we have continued to have them, not just on an as needed basis but on an ongoing basis. They have worked out well for us. They come monthly, and we rarely see any problems inside the house. If we do, we call them, and they come out - sometimes even the same day or almost always the next day. We have a yearly contract and the price is about $350 a year. We?ve never used anyone else, and so there isn?t really any basis for comparison; it certainly seems reasonable for what they do.

They didn't have to kill the bees. They came out and looked at them and realized they were carpenter bees, and the following year they would go away. It worked out well and they went away. They were good and I would give everything an A.

We have had difficulty with the bugs coming back. They say there isn't anything they can do about it. They can kill the ones that are there, but that doesn't mean they won't come back because they are everywhere. They are not cheap.

Terminix is a reliable company. I would recommend it because of the workers there. They work around my schedule, they ask all the right questions, and it's worry free using them. They will remind me and set up appointments so that I don't need to. They are personable and very acommodating. Stephen Motley is the employee I prefer. He does a very good job.

They call to find a time that is convenient for you; you allow a two-hour window for them. They spray inside and out. They always show up the day they say they will. I usually get the same technicians. If I have any problems, they'll come back later. They come right away, free of charge. I'm satisfied with their service.

The technician came promptly and gave me his cell number to call when the traps needed to be changed. He explained everything.

The process started great with detailing how they were going to take care of my mouse problem. They told me they would come to my house between 6 and 8pm - they never came. I called the company and while they did have me scheduled for an appoint they couldn't explain why no one came to the house.

It did not. They never showed up for the scheduled work.

We think they do a pretty good job. They're very good about calling and setting up an appointment that's convenient for us.

I have nothing good to say about Terminix. They were coming every year for a big annual fee and they didn't really do the work that was necessary. I've found out that I do have termites, and they missed them. I don't think they are very considerate to their customers. I felt like I got no respect from them.

Terminix came on time. They charged me just what they said they would. I think they were confident in their abilities to deter such creatures from taking up occupancy where I am living. Having them comes makes me feel reassured that no such creatures will be lurking where I am living. I am very much pleased with this particular company. I have always heard good things about them and can now say that I am a satisfied customer that they can add to their list of satisfied users.

Terminix was no problem at all. They were punctual, they gave us a good evaluation and sprayed to deter termites from coming near our house. They knew what they were talking about, answered any questions we obtained without stalling. We felt they definitely knew what they were doing and had a great level of experience when it comes to dealing with termite problems.

They are very punctual and thorough. Their prices are good and they are very friendly and professional.

I would not use Terminix again. The inside boxes are more important to me than the ones outside and they just always failed to check them. I could find a better company to check all my boxes and charge me the same thing. I Think than twill be my plan. Terminix needs to have better bookkeeping and a better return service. I suspect they forgot that I even had boxes inside my home. That is a little disappointing.

I've been very satisfied with Terminix. They come exactly when they say they will and are very professional.

ABORTION! It is a shame to blast the company for the performance of the local office. The local office in Plymouth Meeting, PA services my house, in Limerick. I have had non-stop issues with this place since day one. After the first apt was a no-show, I was re-scheduled. The tech showed up on time and performed an inside treatment. The tech advised it was going to rain (It never did) and could not do the outside treatment, and would come by in the next week. The tech never came, I called and 1 week later the tech actually showed. There was a minimal reduction in spiders and appeared I chose the wrong company. I wanted to cancel, they asked for a 2nd chance and blew that. They had another NO-Show last week. Claimed there was a miscommunication and they would be out today. So today comes and I call early in the am, confirm the apt, and I wait. The rep never showed again! Local office closed! I am done with this company! I would add more but I am out of room! Do not use!

THE TECHNICIAN WAS FINE, BUT WHEN I CAME BACK FROM A TWO DAY VACATION I FOUND OUT THAT THE MICE HAD A PARTY. EVERYTHING IN MY PANTRY WAS SHREDDED AND I CALLED THE HOME OFFICE AND NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL. I AM GETTING HALF MY MONEY BACK.

Overall, my experience has been good. We had a bit of a problem with a no show; however, that was straightened out, and most importantly, there aren't mice in the house.

The contract is still in force. I called the local supervisor out to look at and assess the damage. He agreed that there was damage and that his records noted the finding of termites years after the contract began. I asked that Terminix perform on the guarantee in the contract and repair the damage. In a subsequent telephone conversation he stated that, in order for the guarantee to be effective I had to make a claim at the time the termite swarm occurred. But, Of course we did not know the extent of the damage at that time. Basically Terminix's guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on, and we would have to go to arbitration to even have a chance of satisfaction. I would recommend not using Terminix.

Many properties in our neighborhood have suffered termite damage and we rely on this protection. Our service technician, Edward Marcano, is prompt, reliable and professional. He is personable and does a thorough inspection.

WORKERS WERE VERY NICE. THE PERSON WHO MADE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT NEGLECTED TO TELL ME THAT MY PATIOS WOULD HAVE TO BE DRILLED. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS 3,4 BECAUSE THEY ARE BLIND QUESTIONS.

GEORGE ALWAYS CALLS FIRST TO LET US KNOW WHEN HE IS COMING. HE IS ON TIME, EFFICIENT AND LETS US KNOW OF ANY PROBLEMS.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE PROTECTION THAT TERMINEX PROVIDED AGAINST INSECTS. ON THE OTHER HAND, I THINK THAT THE PRICES COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.

I WOULD CALL THEM AND THEY WOULD COME OUT FOR EXTRA SERVICE, BUT IT STILL DIDN'T RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. WHEN I DID CALL THEM IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL DAYS EACH TIME TO RETURN MY CALL. I FINALLY QUIT THEIR SERVICE AND NOW I TREAT MY HOME MYSELF WITH DO IT YOURSELF CHEMICALS FROM A LOCAL HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE AND I HAVE NO MORE ANTS. JOB NOT DONE AS PROMISED OR AS ADVERTISED. DISAPPOINTED

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE INSPECTION AND TREATMENT PROVIDED. I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT ALL DAY FOR THEM TO ARRIVE OR COMPLETE THE JOB.
