This is the first company that contact me to provide service . I was given an estimate that agreed to it, but he didn't finished the job that I was able to ask for so I look for another company ask for estimate but surprisingly this company overcharge me. They charge me for $1100 and they will only provide $200.00 for the refund . I will not use this company again.
Description of Work: We have an ant infestation in the house and a hornet hive forming near the gutter on the roof.

Derek was the technician who came out and he did a great job. The very next day, we saw a dead mouse and we have not had any problems since. We would highly recommend them.

I've been a Terminix customer for years and finally got fed up with their terrible customer service. They mess up the appointment scheduling EVERY TIME, despite the fact that they use an automated system. For four years running, they first schedule the annual inspection with very short notice (a couple days). I then reschedule online. They then fail to show up at the time I rescheduled for. Then I reschedule again. They then proceed to reschedule my appointment without notifying me, show up at the time that I didn't agree to (or was even made aware of), and leave me a note telling me to reschedule. Even if you are able to catch their errors in their fantastically terrible scheduling, it is impossible to get through to their customer service to correct the matter. Their customer service will, however, send you bi-weekly surveys asking about how their service was. They clearly do not read these surveys, and if they do, the certainly don't follow up on them. I've finally given up on them and will be switching to a local company.

The sales rep saw previous damage and was pretty pushy about setting me up for an expensive treatment package for $1400. After he left, I did some research and realized that was really high. I cancelled the treatment with him and he offered $1000+tax. I told him that I was going to wait for another quote from a different company. The next week, I get an email stating that the work had been done and my card had been charged. They went ahead and performed the treatment that I’d previously cancelled ON MY NEIGHBOR’S HOUSE! And charged me the original $1400! To sum it up, things went terribly. Waiting for the charges to be removed.
Description of Work: I needed a termite inspection for refinancing my mortgage.

They’re just fine. We have a wood burning stove, so we have wood in the back yard, so I like to make sure that is well kept. I kept using them because of the professionalism and my husband liked them. They’re good.

They'd come out and they were charging me $400 and $500 a year, and half the time they didn't even look at half the stuff. I give them an F for overall and F for price, for professionalism, the whole works. I just think that they're not very good. They miss termites, because my mother had Terminix from the time she bought the house in 1947. I had all of her bills, so I knew how far back her history went with them. She'd been paying all these years and she owned the house up until 2013. When my son bought the house, just before we went to settlement, he said to me, oh by the way, there's termites. I said, where? So he showed me where the termites were. There were even some termites in her basement apparently that had come up and got onto a piece of wood, and all she needed to do was turn the piece of wood around to see that there were termites there. They disclaimed; they came out and they looked, and they said there's no termites here; this is old termite damage. And I said well you know what, you've had the contract since 1947, so why then wasn't that found? About the same time, my son came into the house and I said where were those termites that you said. So he walked up to this window frame, he just kind of took his fist and banged on it a couple of times, and out fell the termites. And all they would do was treat that spot. That would've been a sign to me that maybe the house needed re-treating, but they would only treat that one spot where those termites were. All they're gonna do is move, you know? Whatever you did over the years in treating this house has aged out.

I would give them an A. They'e always on time. I don't have issues. I don't usually have to call them back for bugs.

I have the Ultimate Protection Plan with Terminix, and they are supposed to come out when I call them. They were just here to perform my quarterly service on Monday, and they were quite thorough. However, three days later, I have a HUGE swarm of stinging insects (didn't want to get too close to determine the exact kind) entering and exiting the wall of the main bathroom of my home. When I called Terminix, they acknowledged that this was urgent and needed immediate attention, however, the best they can offer me is that they will CALL me in 24 hours to let me know if they can come out today or not. When I let them know that I can hear these destructive buggers in the walls of my main bath, where I bathe my young children, they could still only offer the phone call. Maybe. "Because the local Terminix office is incredibly busy right now". Hmmm. Are they incredibly busy because they do not do a good enough job the first time? So I'm sitting now, waiting for a phone call, and hoping that my children and I are not stung by these HANDFULS of stinging insects. When I told them I would need to hear from them TODAY or I would cancel service, their MANAGER told me "That's fine. Go ahead." Call my bluff, Terminix!

We scheduled an appointment for an inspection/appraisal. We took time off of work to meet the technician for a time slot between 11-2. Nobody showed up. We called several times and were told that the switchboard tried but could not reach the technician. Finally, at 2:15 we called and miraculously someone was able to reach the tech who relayed the message that he'd never received the work order from "central" and we should reschedule. After their many apologies, they asked if there was anything they could do. I told them they could reimburse us for lost wages and that I wanted to speak with a supervisor. So far, two days later, we've heard nothing. They get an F for customer service and a -F for a lack of consideration.

He said we had termites and he showed me a piece of wood that was just rotted. They came and put all these things around the outside of the house. We had the house treated in the 50’s and what thy used was a barrier and what they used would have killed the termites. We called Terminix and we complained and we got all our money back.

They charge $85 for three months. They will come again in three months, but if I need them, they come out. Things have been fine after they sprayed. My experience was good. They show up on time and they show up when they say they are.

I pay about $300 a year. I wasn't very happy. I had termite damage. I thought they were supposed to repair any kind of damage. But they claimed I didn't have that kind of a service. When they sent me a certificate, it said that they did. So I'm thinking about going to another company. They were coming around inspecting. What we thought were fine ants were actually termites. When they came around, I said, "My wife saw things flying out from the wood." He said, "Well let me see," and he said, "They're termites." There was damage. We were going to replace the windows anyway. But when we were taking off the molding and stuff, they had eaten the molding up like it was almost paper. So I asked him, "What am I paying you for?" I said, "You mean to tell me you come around inspect for termites. If you don't see them and they're eating my house up, then it's on me. But I'm paying you to inspect and you're not repairing it. So you don't have any responsibility to repair." So I'm going to go with someone else. They send people around. They'll call and say, "You're scheduled for an inspection," and they come. The people that work for them do the best they can. Their personnel were punctual and pretty good. They said things that the company didn't live up to. They can only do what the company allows them to do.

Back in 2012, while doing some work on the our house, our contractor notified us that we had a termite issue. We contacted Terminix for termite control. When we discussed the options with their sales person, we decided to also contract for pest control, as this was right around the time of the bed bug scare. My husband and I discussed with the sales person that we only wanted to try out the pest control, as we were not sure we really needed it. We specifically asked him if the pest control contract automatically renewed. He said no. Everything went fine during the termite control process and in the next year or so that followed. I was a bit annoyed that the only notice you would get of a service call is a phone call the day before, particularly as service calls were always scheduled during business hours, and by the time I checked my voicemail, I had usually missed it. But, I was fine and frankly, I put the service on autopilot. After a year, I realized that we were still being billed for the general pest service. I called up upset that the contract had automatically renewed. I was given the run around. I spoke with the customer representative and told them to cancel the service. I then considered the issue resolved. The next quarter, Terminix billed me again. This time when I called they told me there was no record of my having cancelled the service. In fact, I apparently had not been forwarded to the right department for cancellation because you HAVE to cancel by phone by speaking with a particular department. It is the only way. They then offered to have me speak with the branch manager. I agreed and they said he would call me back within 48 hours. No call. It took several more calls and several hours of waiting on hold until finally I spoke with the branch manager. He apologized and was very nice about everything and said he would look into it further and get back to me. No call again. Exhausted, it was not until I was billed the next quarter that I was again prompted into action. I called to cancel the service. By that time, we had decided to sell our house and had gone under contract for another one. Figuring it might be helpful to have the termite and pest control service in place, I allowed the representative to convince me to keep the service, and simply defer it for a quarter. A year later, we finally went under contract for our old house. The inspection was yesterday and lo and behold, there was evidence of termite activity. I called Terminix to arrange a service call. And here's the kicker -- they told me that my termite contract had expired in January of 2014. This was the first I had heard about it. Plus, despite my notifying them that I had moved, they had continued to send paperwork to my old address, which, of course, I never received. I once again canceled the service and when I asked them for a confirmation number, they told me that in 24 hours, I could confirm whether the service had been canceled using my customer number and phone number. In short, this is a company that sells you a bill of goods and then puts the onus on you. If you don't follow-up endlessly and keep track of everything, you will keep paying for their services. Also, I just tried to pull my original sales contract from the link they sent me and it is no longer available. Apparently, if you want a copy, you have to keep it yourself.

We terminated them about a year ago. He really wasn't doing any good. They were spraying for all the bugs and insects and spiders and stuff and we still have them so we figured it's just as easy for us to step on a spider instead of pay someone a couple hundred bucks to spray for them. When we first started with them they were an A, then they went down to a, well like I said they weren't doing any good. Why should we pay for a service that we do. I'm going to have to say they were overpriced, why should I pay a couple hundred dollars for something they didn't do. They had good responsiveness.

It turned out very well. The best part was that the technician ensured that the mice issue was dealt with. The worst aspect of it was we had a house wide problem for a about a week before he came and somewhat dismissed it not in a polite way. Maybe there wasn't anything he could have done, but it was the manner in which he said it.
Description of Work: I used Terminix for pest control. They actually did bait for field mice as well as sprayed to protect the home from insects.

They do work for us and I have been pleased for years. We pay yearly. You can pay any way you want. They come out when they say and I have never really had a worst part of their service. If there is an issue they come out and correct it. I never checked pricing for any other service so I have nothing to compare.

It didn't turn out very well. I've had them for years under contract and they came to do what I thought was an inspection. They were actually trying to get me to sign up for more services. I listened to his spiel. They did not report that as my annual inspection even though I called them and told them it was an annual inspection. They sent somebody else out on another day. He wanted to do it because I had not signed that it was a manual inspection. Their practices are very, very slipshod in terms of their record keeping. Fortunately, I haven't had any termites. Their office procedures and their administrative procedures really need to be cleaned up. The price was fine.
