Description of Work: I had two trees to trim in the frontyard and few trees in the backyard for trimming up. I also had one tree that was growing over the house which needed the branch to be cut.

Description of Work: Several trees were pruned and shaped and a tree was removed. I also contracted for stump removal for the tree. The pruning was done well but the stump removal was really not acceptable leaving much of the stump and roots not removed. Since I had to have my landscaper manually remove the remaining roots, the company reduced my balance by the charge for the removal. In addition, some of my lawn was damaged by leakage from their equipment. They offered tree and shrub fertilization as compensation for the damage. Overall this company did a good job and was responsive to the problems that occurred.

Description of Work: An arborist visited to evaluate our trees and explained the best way to prevent further damage and recommended the best course of action. As requested they Trimmed the damages branches on our dogwood from last winter's storms, shaped the tree to my liking. They also raised the canopy on our Norway Maple and trimmed back a few branches over the chimney. Finally they reduced the height of a decorative yew near our door by 4 feet. |3 men did the work with hand tree saws and climbed the dogwood. They had 2 trucks but decided not to use a bucket which would have damaged our lawn. They used a chipper and did a thorough clean up.

Description of Work: Called this company to remove one large stump and a few smaller ones on the property on a recommendation from a nursery we bought trees from. They came out within a day to do the estimate and left it in our mailbox since we couldn't be home. We called them to confirm the work and they came out a few days later to grind everything down. While I can't comment on the friendliness of the crew since we weren't home for the estimate or the actual work, the woman I dealt with on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. Aside from the actual stump grinding the crew left no evidence they were there, no tracks on the grass, our gate was closed up, etc. This is the first time we have done tree service so I don't have much to compare it to, but I was very happy with the job.

We were most appreciative that they moved very heavy equipment over our lawn with no damage to grass whatsoever by placing large wooden tracks in front of the machinery as it traversed our lawn. Provided ad hoc consulting about other trees on our lawn.
Description of Work: Removed 80 foot tree which had been hit by lightning, split and started to fall by was intertwined with nearby trees.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Mr Sieja walked through our yard, evaluated our trees, and made recommendations. He presented various alternatives and did not pressure us. The work was conducted in a timely way (actually, ahead of the promised time). We asked the tree trimmers to save any wood over 4 inches in diameter for firewood (normally, they only save wood over 10 inches in diameter). They did this, and they stacked the wood at the edge of our yard. We were very satisfied.
Description of Work: Removed one tree that was dying; trimmed dead branches from 3 other trees.

+ -1 moreI WAS GIVEN A DIAGNOSIS FOR BOTH TREES, ONE WAS OKAY AND WAS JUST SHOWING SIGNS OF AGE. THE OTHER WAS DISEASED BUT I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO REMEDY THAT ACTUALLY WORKED EFFECTIVELY AT THE CURRENT TIME. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT I FEED THE TREE FOR NOW AND CHECK BACK IN SEVERAL YEARS TO SEE IF AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT HAD BEEN DEVELOPED. MY ONLY OTHER OPTION WAS TO HAVE THE TREE REMOVED WHICH WOULD HAVE COST ME ABOUT $2,000. THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS SEEMED TO COINCIDE WITH EVERYTHING I HAD READ ON THE SUBJECT, SO I FELT THEY WERE VERY HONEST WITH ME. I'M SURE THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WOULD HAVE OFFERED ME ONE OF THE INEFFECTIVE TREATMENTS. THE THREE PEOPLE THAT I DEALT WITH AT THIS FIRM WERE BOTH COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL.
