We called a few installers for the purpose of getting an estimate for the installation of hardwood. Jack returned my call promptly and set up an appointment for two days after the initial phone call. His price estimate was very fair in comparison to others, but what really impressed us was his suggestion to put an eco friendly underpayment beneath the hardwood. We thought this was an excellent idea, especially to create more sound proofing in our house. His crew showed up on time and completed the work within the same day. They did an excellent job.

Jack was due at my house on Friday, March 4 at 6 PM to give me an estimate for laminate installation in my basement. He said he would call if he could not make it or would be late. He was a no show and he did not call. I tried to contact him that night, but his voice mail was full. He was never heard from again.

Overall the work is great, as soon as the ball start rolling, all were expected on time, no delays. The carpet guys are especially phenomenal! Formed a great relationship with the vendor General Floors, all great services. Thanks, Jack!

Jack was excellent to deal with. His quote was competitive with or better than the other quotes we received. He spent a lot of time talking thru the different options we were considering to ensure we were happy with the final quote. At the same time we were getting the new flooring put in we were also having a new stair rail installed. This presented some challenges as there were delays with the rail install that impacted the flooring job. Jack helped deal with the installer to coordinate what had to be completed when. At the end of the stair rail job there was a minor issue that should have been handled by the rail installer but eventually it was Jack who agreed to come back and handle it to keep us happy. It was not a major item but his handling of it, after his job was done and when he did not really have to was the sign of a good contractor. Jack also agreed to handle the staining of the new stair rail as well which is a much more time consuming task. His team was able to match the rail to the flooring and in the end it all looked magnificent and we could not be happier. We would certainly use Jack and team again based on his responsiveness and professionalism.

Great, Jack was responsive and met my deadline. Laminate floor installer left "old" material on deck...next carpet installer hauled away with no questions asked. All workers were professional and did a great job. End result beautiful hardwood "look" on 1st floor and berber down steps and in basement. Very pleased with cost, process and end result! What more can you ask for?

Jack was professional, and his crew did a great job but he stood out from other contractors by communicating promptly and frequently.

It's been almost 3 months since the work was performed and so far so good. Jack's price was very competitive and his team is fast and efficient. I'm confident that they've done things the right way. Nearly all of the labor was complete within 3 days, including removal of old flooring. There was a delay with the stairs due to cold temperatures and drying time of the poly. In total, the job took 4 days to complete. I didn't have a timeline in mind but was satisfied with the timing, 100%. Jack said it would likely take 3 days, maybe more, can't remember exactly. In any event, all of the wood flooring flows beautifully from foyer to living room to dining room to kitchen and meets back up with foyer (no transition pieces were used anywhere). The engineered wood on the concrete slab is slightly different but compliments the rest of the house just fine. Jack's team even added touches around the fireplace and on the 2nd floor where the hallway meets the bedrooms and bathroom. He calls them "picture frame" transitions or finishes. Added an unexpected but very nice touch. The tiling work is excellent. The laundry room tile is 12x24 and bathroom is like an 8x12 (I think). The grouting is very clean and the bathroom and laundry room look really nice... I've since added paint and wall art... With the flooring being the only major work, everything really came together nicely. If there's one area for improvement for Jack and/or his team, it was with the stair tread finishes. I'm not sure if it was rushed or how many coats were applied (or whatever), but there were bubbles and small bumps in many of the treads...I don't think Jack has a "finishing" room per say so if there was any dust, etc., it makes sense... I didn't raise it as an issue at the time because I wanted everything to be done, plus it didn't really bother me much... I am capable of slightly sanding and applying another light coat of poly, no big deal. In fact, if he wanted to hire me to do finishing work on the side, I would gladly consider it! As I said to start, so far so good. I am extremely happy with everything. Once it gets warmer and the floors go through some expansion I will report back if anything goes wrong. I am confident that if it does, Jack would take care of it. He was prudent in addressing all of my questions and any minor ticky tack things that came up along the way.

Knowledge of how the installation should be done and the recommendations were followed, even to change out all our Baseboards. The day of installation the men arrived on time and completed the hardwood floor before the end of the day. The men moved quick and the baseboard was done with perfect cuts and install. Even though the kitchen was not to be done, they change all the Baseboard in the kitchen to make the rooms look uniform. The job came out great. The Porcelain tile was installed on another day with grouting done the following day. Again the man arrived on time and took his time to make sure all tile were laid perfectly. His cuts that were needed came out beyond my expectation. He also made suggestions on the entrances locations which I accepted for him to do and again the job came out perfectly. I would recommend this company. He has a great work crew and they respect each other, they are like family, a team. No one should be disappointed with Floor Installation Systems Inc.

Jack was incredible, he got back to me right away with a fair estimate and was extremely helpful every step of the way. He even pointed me in the right direction for a better price on the tile, and was the lowest of the several estimates I got for the job. The reason to go with Floor Installation systems is not only because of there extremely competitive prices, but because of there professionalism and ability to get the job done. I wanted to have the carpet replaced by the super bowl and Jack did everything be could to get me on the schedule promptly, and it only took them 2 days to complete everything. I would highly recommend them, and intend to use them for any future projects.

The service staff came when they said they would. They were very courteous, professional and experienced. They creatively solved an unusual problem. Their work was excellent and they exceeded my expectations. I heard about the company from my son who used them to install a floor for him and was very pleased. After seeing the installation myself, I was impressed so much I hired them to do my job which was considerably larger. My son found the company through his Angie's list membership. I am now an Angie's list member so my review is very positive for both Floor Installation Systems and Angie's list service.

To say that Jack Dalton's company did a great job is a gross understatement. His price was extremely fair and lower than my other two quotes. His crew was outstanding and unbelievably efficient. They performed the work in approximately 8 hours and, as Jack had promised, in time for our Christmas Eve celebrations. It looks fabulous. The crew was to start at 8:00 am, arrived early, but waited outside until exactly 8:00 am to insure that we were ready. Once in they got right to work with no delay. Each man knew his role perfectly. Jack was the consummate professional both in the integrity of his dealings and his pricing. He offered professional advice and rational suggestions, which were always correct. Jack and his crew are simply THE BEST. He is very honest, professional and very easy to work with. The work was done on schedule and on cost. Jack was very clear on the process and kept us informed along the way. I would recommend him without hesitation. He went above and beyond our expectation. Our basement floor looks better than our main floor. Absolutely PHENOMENAL WORK . We could not be happier with his work. In our opinion there is no one better than Jack and his crew.

It could not have gone smoother . Everyone was nice, professional and my favoite- responsive! The floors were done in a day less than they had thought and my house was left as clean as possible. I felt guided the entire way for what would work best in my home and I could not have been happier with the advice I was given. They actually came out much nicer than I could have imagined because the team took into consideration details that I wouldn not have thought of or known to ask for on my own. I would recommend them for any job and will look forward to using them in the future!

Mr. Dalton and his crew members are very professional yet very reasonable people. To me it was all about giving work to someone who you probably don't know or may not have met personally. From initial conversation over the phone, John listened on what I needed to get done (I was very descriptive as well) and he provided all the help he could so that I can make certain decision. Once I bought the laminate, I also kept it in the Room for about 3 days at normal room temperature :-) . John's crew members arrived on a particular day and they were all good team members too. They were professional and knew how things gets done. They took less then a day to install Laminate flooring on 3 Bed Rooms, Hallway and finished basement and so far it's holding out very nicely :). I'm sure it will for long time as well.

After our contractor became unavailable,at the last minute to install our new floors, my wife and I were stuck. I turned to Angie's List for help. I called multiple contractors and Jack from Floor Instalation Services Inc was by far the most professional. He was the quickest to respond to my voicemail and the fastest to set up an appointment for a consultation. When he arrived at our home he was the most thorough in explaining what needed to be done. He gave us multiple options and laid out the best scenario in his opinion. Ultimately, his estimate turned out to be the best. My wife and I are already very impressed with Floor Installation Services Inc. and are looking forward to them starting the job.

I ended up paying 2,000 more than the final quote was. The quality of the work looks lovely. When he answered the phone and responded, he was right there, was punctual, worked the hours he said he would work but I had to call, text and email to get him to respond after we settled on doing this. I don't know that I would use him again.

I called the owner Jack after I had reservations about another installation company that was just about to start our job. This was a difficult job with lots of curves and cuts and we wanted to make sure we had the best company for the job. Jack was gracious enough to accommodate our last minute request and squeeze us in within a week. They immediately pointed out a number of installation problems (and potential solutions) that the previous installer never even identified and right away I knew we had the right people for the job. I ran to Home Depot a couple times to get some parts that the original installers never even knew we needed and I cringe to think what would have happened if they did the job. The installers were professional and friendly and handled the job like pros. Matt was really knowledgeable as was the rest of the team (can't remember their names). The kitchen floor now looks terrific. I am attaching a pic of a curved island and how they laid the tiles around it. They accomplished this by carefully cutting the tile around the island and then bending a matching strip of wood around the curve to make it look like the island was installed AFTER the tiles were already there. Superior craftsmanship. They also didn't take our payment until the job was completed and we were happy with it Jack was great after the job was completed answering a number of questions I had. Today we noticed a minor issue, I called Jack and he said he will come out next week to take care of it. This is refreshing as other contractors we have hired didn't stand by their work once they were paid. So these guys get high marks and their reputation on Angie's List is well deserved.

We had almost 900 feet of hardwood floors installed in 3 rooms. Jack gave us a very fair quote for the job. His team came in early and were able to do the entire job in one day. We are doing major repairs to the entire living section of our home - and everyone that comes into our home comments on how beautiful the new floors look.

Excellent! Our floor is now repaired and perfect one again!

This is our 2nd house that Jack has worked on, and our third time using him. We have a room that was an addition, which had water issues in the past (concrete slab). We recently fixed the issues, and wanted to tear out the old carpet and put in wood flooring. Jack told us about a new product he has been using called CoreTEC, which is water resistant, mold resistant, and much warmer to the touch than standard vinyl. Since it was being installed on a concrete pad, this was the best option for us. Jack and team have restored to wood floors for us, and this was our first vinyl experience. As always, Jack and team did not disappoint. They do fantastic work at reasonable prices. Already had Jack look at the last two rooms of our house that are carpeted to get those redone as well...and then on to the tiling! Thanks as always Jack!
