Jack and Matt were both pleasant to deal with. Actual work was performed in a most timely and professional manner. Couldn't ask for a better job.

I never received a call or email from this company. If they don't respond to inquiries, even to say they can't fix my type of floor, I would not hire them to do the job.

Jack and his assistant were prompt, courteous, and professional. Most importantly, they worked with integrity -- when I suggested a short cut method of doing the job, Jack very professionally said, "That wouldn't be right." The floor came out really nicely. I highly recommend them, and I will definitely use them again with any flooring project that may arise.

This row house in Philly, but I'm in Connecticut acting as property manager...so long distance trust was necessary (and my choice was based on Angie's list reviews). The trust was well placed. The prior reviews were generally accurate. I recognize this was a very small job and was appreciative it was taken, but rescheduling and his communication did cause some worry - as timing was an important issue for me which I emphasized at the onset. A quality job was completed in one day. The job was arranged just a few weeks before it had to be completed, but it needed to be done in a two week window when the occupant was on vacation. Two issues: 1) the "drama" was that the promised start date was postponed at least twice, and got done on the last possible day! The company (FIS) is owned by "Jack", who is knowledgeable, available and personable; he provided his cell phone, which he actually picks up (more often before the job was agreed to), even during jobs on other sites. But promises on start date were missed without communication from FIS. But, I regularly tried to follow up on start dates by phone with him and by checking with my local contact regularly. 2) The night before installation, he called (missed me) and emailed that Home Depot(HD) didn't have the wood floor order from me, nor had the style we had discussed in stock...but he'd never told me I would have to do that task ! (I reached the contractor salesperson that evening, paid HD for floor by verbal credit card, thus resolved issue in time). His "proposal/estimated invoice" did not include the floor and no payment terms listed for the service...I paid after completion. In summary, FIS appears to be a small "shop" with skills, but needs to " plus up" its professionalism a bit. The good price apparently comes with a trade off. Having said this, my experience (many years managing properties) finds most contractors not skilled at managing scheduling well...Jack was probably better than average; If I didn't connect by phone, I found texts sometimes worked, and emails were replied to (he apparently does his client contact in early evenings). I'd suggest close monitoring therefore. But to repeat: A quality job was completed in one day.

What a great job Jack and his crew did! They ripped up old parquet flooring (left over from previous owner) that was clued into the concrete all wrong, they put a nice coat of smooth concrete over it, installed the floors, put in all new baseboards and quarter round, safely removed an old electric baseboard (left over from previous owner) which was an eye sore! They even fixed my bathroom door. These guys were very professional and did a great job. And the price was out of this world. I highly recommend Jack and his crew.

Jack's knowledge is excellent as far as flooring is concerned. He recommended LVTs for our kitchen and downstairs hallway since we have a small child and that was an excellent recommendation. His team was punctual, professional and very helpful. Everyone who visits our home compliments us on the flooring and we could not have got that without Jack and his team. Their services are well worth the price and they are quick to finish their work. I had an incident where Avalon sold me the wrong glue for LVT and Jack's team actually went there and got the mistake corrected. I even got a call from Avalon apologizing for the mix up. These people deserve another star for exceeding expectations at all levels.

Jack is great. I met with him once to go over the job and what would be involved. I did have to wait a couple of weeks because he was booked. It was worth the wait. I am very pleased with my new floor. He also added a nice surprising touch with part of the baseboard. He and his guys work very fast. He completed almost all the work in one day. He returned the 2nd day to do the grout and finishing touches. I worked both day, so I did not meet his guys, but my children advised me they were professional as well. I would definately hire Jack again.

Getting the installation date confirmed was a little difficult, but the installation process was quick, requiring the usual 2 days for the tile to be set and grouted. Most of the installation materials I purchased myself, as we had agreed.

The work was done conscientiously and with skill. Jack has an eye for detail, and provides excellent customer service.

One day job. Professionally installed, looks great.

After dealing with another company that was unresponsive and then didn't show, we were so thrilled to get Jack's number from Lumber Liquidators. He responded by e-mail and phone immediately (that day) and then came within a couple of days for an estimate. He was willing to work with our original estimate from the former contractor and then scheduled our install for 2 weeks later. Not only did Matt and Z show up on time, but they were incredibly professional and worked straight through the day and completed the job as promised. And, the floor looks beautiful! I am not sure what I expected of a cork floor, but we really love it! Jack came and handled the paperwork and even made some adjustments to the estimate since we ended up not needing our steps done. We were so pleased with our experience and we cannot wait to work with this company again to do our wine cellar.

Jack is really good at what he does. He is the type of individual everyone would like their contractor to be, one you can trust. In my case he helped me understand how he was going to do the job and in the middle of this job he took the time to give me some critical information about another flooring job I had done before I called him. I can say that I learned quite a bit with Jack about flooring. The kitchen flooring came out great and I have hired him to fix an issue with laminate flooring I just had installed. I will hire Jack in a minute for any and all other flooring I may need in the future.

When I called, Jack answered the phone which surprised me as I expected to be directed to voicemail. I was still gathering information and wasn't ready to actually schedule an appointment and he told me that he was very busy and not be discouraged if I had to call or text him a few times before he was able to get back to me. When I was finally ready, I contacted him (didn't take that long; only a day or two, for him to get back to me) and we met at the condo where I was having the work done. He measured the space, told me how much material I needed and gave me an estimate. I ordered the flooring and we scheduled a date for the install for a few weeks out. He arrived on time and did the job in one day as promised. He removed and disposed of carpet and padding, installed the floating floor, new thresholds and quarter round. It looks gorgeous. He and his helper did an excellent job and left the place tidy and clean. Jack doesn't sell flooring but I believe he will pick it up for you from Home Depot or wherever. His price was several hundred dollars less than two other quotes I received and his work was excellent. He is quite personable and easy to work with. Don't give up if he doesn't get back to you right away. He works long, hard hours but once you're scheduled, he is prompt and reliable. I would definitely hire him again.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Jack not only gave me a very fair estimate, but suggested a number of options to me on what materials to use. I was new to the process and appreciated the guidance. Once I decided to go ahead with the project Jack was quick to put me on his calendar. His colleague, Matt, was on time and friendly. Matt ripped out the old flooring and laid down the new tile. Jack dropped in on day two to work with Matt on finishing the job. The project was completed in less time than I had anticipated and for a cost I could afford. I highly recommend Floor Installation Systems. You will be hard pressed to find a company that beats Jack's service, cost, reliability and overall professionalism. I would not hesitate to use the company for future projects.

Jack and his helper, Matt, were both wonderful. They were very pleasant and considerate. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves each day and explaining what they had done and answering all of our questions. Jack gave us a very good price and was patient through our weeks of debating tile choice, the exact project, etc then fit us in to his schedule quickly when we were ready. Matt even fixed some carpeting that had been installed by another contractor a year or so ago and never nailed down properly. We highly recommend this company.

When I tell you this guy is good I mean it. I am very hesitant to bring people into my home and let them work but after talking to Jack and seeing his first day of work I knew he would be my wood floor guy for life. His work is remarkable, crisp clean and fast. It took him about 2-3 days to install laminet throughout 3 rooms and a staircase which were decent sized spaces. His work on my stairs was what I was most impressed with. He hand crafted the stairs from scratch and they look amazing I will upload pictures in a few days. He was great with being flexible around our schedule and the work looks great. For the quality he produces his prices are extremely reasonable! I have him coming back to do more work in a few weeks, I look forward to seeing how that comes out as well.

Jackson was extremely professional and thorough with his explanation. Overall a very positive experience. Would highly recommend Jackson to anyone who needs flooring installed. May be using him in the future.

Great job! Followed up as promised to complete the job. Source through Angie's List and lived up to the online reviews. He is busy because of his value and quality, but provided service and timing of the job as promised.

Made several appointments for an estimate, the first appointment was a no show, no phone call I had to contact them and got the excuse that the truck had broken down. The next appointment they did call just before the appointment time and stated they were stuck on a job in New Brunswick, New Jersery. Then on the next appointment another no show and stated he was to tired but would come over anyway, (did I mention that he lives about one mile away from me), never did see or meet him. We contacted this company based on a recommendation from a very good friend, well she is still our friend, but my experience with this company was frustrating and a waste of time.

Jackson returned to fix an issue with the stairs. it's a refreshing change to have a contractor really stand by his work and return to fix it. Quality works and professionalism. A man of his word who stands by his work. can't ask for anything more.

I had a great experience with Jack. He knew exactly what I wanted and did a great job executing it. There were several instances that he went above and beyond to make the floors look perfect, without charging extra. He wanted it to look right, and that was most important to him. He takes a lot of pride in his work, and he should, he is very good. He fit me into his schedule on short notice and if it hadn't been for a delay on my side (the tiles I wanted were special order items, so it took a couple weeks) he would've been done within one week, from estimate to completion. If I have any other floors done in my house I will absolutely go to him again. He is the best.

I contacted the owner Jack Dalton after seeing all of the positive reviews here on Angie' s List. Jack was very personable and showed up exactly on schedule to measure. He was very easy to deal with and answered all of our questions and concerns. We had flooring installed in our last home, and it was not a great experience, so were a little apprehensive about going through the same process in our new condo. Jack gave us a good price, let us know what to purchase, showed up right on time the day of the installation with his assistant ,and expertly installed the whole job and was professional start to finish. They left the place perfectly clean, they were very careful with the furniture and walls, we were more than pleased and would recommend Jack to family and friends. I wish all contractors would be this professional and easy to deal with.

Jack and Matt do superb work and were fantastic to work with. I wish Angie's List gave A+'s because they greatly exceeded my expectations. Jack got back to me immediately after inquiring about work and was able to fit our small job with a tight deadline into their schedule. They were able to start and finish exactly in the time-frame they gave us. As far as customer service, they are friendly, VERY prompt (which I especially admire), and extremely professional. In terms of the work Matt did, it was simply exceptional. He even ran out himself to get a part we had forgotten to purchase and went above and beyond to install the toilet, sink, and faucet. The floors craftsmanship looks phenomenal. Finally the price of the work we needed done was far and away the best price I was given. I HIGHLY recommend them, and will be using them again for any tile or floor work we need in the future.

I called Jack for an estimate to replace the floor on my basement. He was really responsive and showed up as he said he would to give me an estimate. I hired him and I don't regret it at all. Jack and Matt came to my house as expected and they did a really awesome job in only 1 day (500 sq feet) and I couldn't have been more happy with the result. They were really professional, did an amazing job and also really friendly. I will hire them w/o any hesitation for the next floor improvement in my house.
