Floor Install Systems

A few months ago we had a leak in our center city condo that ruined our hardwood floors. Floor Install Systems was one of several quotes and was by far the most competitive price. Jack and his team his team did the job quickly and efficiently and the quality was excellent. They were courteous, respectful and left our home as neat as they found it. We still love the floors several months later and have gotten nothing but compliments. If you need new hardwood floors we highly recommend them - top tier quality at a very good price.

Jack is our third quote and we are happy to have him to finish this projects. He came here on time for estimate. His quote is very reasonable. Since we have decided to buy material from Avalon, Jack can help us get better price from Avalon. We were so happy about that. After the material came, Jack and his crew showed up and spent only 3 days to install the hardwood floor. After his crew left, we found some damage on the baseboard and some fingerprint on the doors. We contacted Jack and he apologize for these. He came back next week, fix and replae now baseboards and clean up all the fingerprints. Overall, the process is smooth. He did good job. I will definitely recommend him.

Came out two weeks ago and promised an estimate in a few days. I never heard back from him. Hoping he will reply to us soon or we will have to go with another company.

I had a pipe burst in my living room wall in February - what a nightmare! First things first - relocate all furniture, clean up water, rip out walls and carpet, pull new walls up. Then came the floor. Jack came to my house, quoted me well under other companies, told me the best place to get the materials, picked up and delivered those materials to my house, and scheduled the install day within a few days of delivery. I was so pleased with him that I decided to have my dining room re-floored as well. On the day of delivery, his team arrived on time - not early or late, ON TIME. His crew worked quickly and easily to remove the remainder of the carpet that had not been destroyed, lay the underlayment and the laminate, and then install the trim and quarter rounds. It was beautiful and I was thrilled. Fast forward two months. One laminate board popped up in the entry hall. I waited, wondering if it would settle back into place or not. It didn't. I texted Jack to let him and find out what to do about it. I was also about to go on vacation, so we agreed that he would come look at it after I got back from vacation. When I got back from vacation, after the house had been locked and vacant for two weeks, there were several other boards also popped up. I texted Jack and he said he would come look at it. When he did, he determined that the floor had been properly installed but the boards must have warped. He asked me to get new boards and he would come install them. My alternative was to call the board retailer and they would have made me get an inspector to determine if it really was an issue with the boards. I just wanted it fixed, so Jack and I worked it out. Jack again delivered the new materials for me and scheduled me within a week of delivery. His crew again arrived on time, pulled up the warped boards and reinstalled in the problem areas. They also floored my kitchen while they were out for this second trip. The cost was low considering the fact that the warped boards weren't at the fault of either Jack or myself and this was the preferred approach for both of us. Despite the issue with the boards, Jack was helpful and honest and his crew did a great job. I will definitely use this company again next time I need floors (hopefully never again in this house!).

Jack and Floor Installation Systems was the hands down best flooring contractor we have ever used. In the past I have used sub contractors from the big box stores along with that "great floor guy" that everyone seems to have. All with varying levels of "eh". Most are OK, none ever great. Until we hired Jack and Flooring Installation Systems. They are great. They are that company that you always hope to hire. Honest, hard working, craftsman, really care about doing a great job. The floors look unbelievable. If you are looking for flooring, call them.

Jack contacted me on a Saturday within 12 hrs of my message. He promptly showed up at my home, measured up and even called the manufacturer of my flooring to gain extra insight. He matched the original Home Depot install price. Overall however, I think I got a significantly better end result then if I'd used them. His crew were prompt, super polite, worked non stop, left not a speck of dust and did an excellent, top quality and highly impressive install.

We had originally had some trouble with this company's work, but they were very apologetic and quick to fix the problem. The new workers who came out were punctual and professional and fixed everything satisfactorily.

I try to use local contractors and service providers whenever possible and after searching several websites and talking to a few contractors we decided on Jack and Floor Installation Systems. We could not be happier with the advice, communication and finished product. Professional crew who showed up on time, worked efficiently until job was complete and cleaned up after themselves. Entire project was completed on time and within estimate. We will be recommending Jack and his crew to anyone who needs advice or service to have floors installed or repaired.

We couldn't be happier with our experience. We found Jack through Angie's List. First off, Jack was very responsive and easy to communicate with during the planning stages. He showed up as he said he would and completed a thorough evaluation of the space. He was able to turn around a full and competitive estimate within a few days. I don't know that this will always be possible, but Jack was able to use his connections to secure us a good deal on the supplies/delivery for the job. We set up an install date about 3 weeks in advance and followed all of Jack's very helpful instructions to prepare for the install. Because of the size of the job, the install took place over 2 full days. The first day we had 2 gentlemen on site along with Jack himself for part of the day. The second day we had 3 gentlemen on site, again with Jack for part of the day. The guys were great. Both days they were scheduled to arrive at 8 AM and both days they were there 10 minutes early. They assisted with moving nearly everything (except small fragile items) at the start, during, and at the end of the job. They were very professional, non-intrusive, and worked with us when we had particular requests (the transitions between areas of different hight, for example, posed a particular challenge; however the men took their time to understand what we wanted and delivered exactly that). Furthermore, on day 1 of the project we had the brilliant idea of altering the direction of the wood flooring (to a diagonal) in one of our rooms which was scheduled to be done the next day. The team took the request in in stride and for nearly nothing the request was fulfilled (beautifully, may I add). At the end of the job the team cleaned up after themselves and made sure to leave the wood floors swept and cleaned. I hope the pictures show the quality of their work -- and please don't judge the paint colors....we're new to the home and floors were at the top of the list!!!

Very earnest in all of our encounters. Flooring was not consistent from rooms to kitchen. Told me he did not have time to remove old flooring before installing the vinyl. Pricing changed during the project to almost double initial estimate.

Jack and his team were timely and punctual. They arrived before 8am on day one and immediately got to work. By the end of day one the upstairs was done. Day two was used to complete the staircase. Jack and his team are hard working and efficient. We had one issue 3 months later - Jack was available and came out personally to correct it. quick repair and everything was good as new. Great person and company to deal with. Can not recommend enough.

Jack the owner came and did an estimate on the work to be done and gave me a date for service. Since I was having the same areas painted wanted that done first and then the flooring was put in and the workers were all very professional. I was sick at the time and having chemo and was able to leave them in the house while I went for treatment which is a nice feeling that you can trust people in your home. The job was completed on time and everything was clean and returned to normal when they finished. And yes I would hire them again.

We are very pleased with the quality of work. Our floors were very uneven so it took a lot of effort to make it leveled. I appreciated the detailed work on the minor things as well such as carefully painting the corner rounds/base boards, finding matching corner rounds to our kitchen cabinets, and making a beautiful transition piece from hardwood floor to tile (floors are not on same level). They did not cut any corners doing this project. Two separate teams worked on our floors: tile and hardwood. The hardwood floors were installed in few hours - amazingly fast. Tiling took most of the time but the entire project was completed in less than 4 days. Living in a home under construction is not easy but they respected our home by thoroughly cleaning up after each day, which helped a lot!

The job was beautifully executed. What a difference the floor makes in the overall appearance of the basement.

Jack and company did a great job! We wanted to install hardwood floors on the first floor of our house. There was already hardwood flooring in two of the rooms in the house and we just wanted to extend the hardwood floors to the rest of the first floor including hallway, kitchen, family room, office and powder room. We wanted the new flooring to match the old flooring which initially was dark stain. In order to achieve this, Jack had to determine the type of wood we had and sand everything down and than seal the complete area. Needless to say he did exactly that. He determined that our wood floors are red oak and than he sanded down the dark stained floor to reveal the natural color and variation of the red oak and match it to the new floors. The end result is great! The whole first floor is one uniform area with no thresholds and flush mounted vents. Overall, we are very satisfied with the work and happy that we can find Jack on Angie's list.

Excellent experience with Floor Install Systems. Great communication. Jack came out for an estimate very quickly. We purchased the materials ourselves and he scheduled the installation quickly. The guys that did the installation did a great job. They cleaned up after and were very courteous. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Jack was very responsive and courteous. He answered all of our questions and helped us secure the materials. The crew that removed old floors and installed new ones arrived on time and worked very efficiently. The new floors look fantastic. The price quoted above was for labor only, and while they weren't the lowest cost, they weren't the highest either. More importantly, customer service and quality of workmanship were great.

The owner came out for the initial estimate we agreed to have the service done. The service technician worked on the floor for approximately four days. Once the service was completed we were unhappy so we reached out to the owner himself. The floor is not aesthetically pleasing but more than that its a hazard. The board that was put down to level the floor was cheap therefor the tile placed on top is uneven. When you step on it breaks and causes more hazard conditions. As you can see in pictures the tiles are not leveled. This applies for majority of the tiles laid on this 1020 sq ft job. Also, you can see tiles are cracked and chipped. Jackson (the owner) had seen these pictures and said himself the workmanship was unacceptable but there has been little communication thereafter, communication has been only through text. He has not responded to the 4 phone calls I placed to him and sadly, nothing has been resolved. We are very dissatisfied with the outcome of this job.
