Made the buyer believe that the seller should pay for a new chimney liner!

We were satisfied with them. They were professional when they came to clean the chimney. They did a good and thorough inspection. It was covered by Homeowners insurance and we wouldn't have thought of that. Then they proposed a solution to the problem and when we contracted them, they came back and did it on time.

They came on time, performed the work they said they would and came back a few weeks later to check on it after we had some heavy rain. They wanted to be sure there were no issues.

They were the only one of 3 companies that responded to my service request. They responded promptly and scheduled me for the next week. Two techs arrived on time and were very thorough and professional. The work was done in less than an hour. My only complaint was that $150 seemed very steep for an hour's worth of work. Next time I may look a little harder for a sweep in order to get a better price.

They came out to check out the job. Were punctual. Came when they said they would. Were careful on the roof. No messes left. So far all is well.

I had to make several phones call to this company before I finally was able to speak to a person. I had to leave several voicemails and then finally I got a return call. The purpose of my call is to request to have our brick fireplace cleaned on the front (soot stains) and a cleaning inside where the fire / flames burn. Jessica, the person that took my call was very friendly. She set us up for an appointment with the day and time. The day before the appointment, I called back, again it took several phone calls to get Jessica on the phone. I asked if we can add on getting our fireplace inspected and if we can get a quote on changing our brick fireplace back to wood burning from gas. The day of the appointment, the technician Rick shows up with a very young looking guy. The first thing that struck me as odd was when we opened the door and greeted them, Rick barely replied and the young man never spoke. He never said a word the entire time he was in our presence. We noticed Rick showed up with no paperwork , no service order. So there was this awkward silence in our foyer. He was waiting for us to tell him why he was at our residence. So I advised him the purpose of the visit is to get our brick fireplace front and inside cleaned. Rick said "we don't do that". He told my husband and I that they do not clean fireplaces. I said why didn't Jessica say that. He just went silent again. My husband asked this guy so, what would you recommend for us to use to clean the brick. Rick replied " we sell some stuff'. That's it. No further explanation. I asked ok, how can I purchase some stuff from you guys. He never clearly answered. So these 2 guys showed up didnt bring any products to show or use to clean our fireplace. So my husband asked ok, can you guys inspect our fireplace to make sure it passes safety standards. Rick, the young guy and my husband went outside and they were out there about 10 minutes. They came back in and I said "are you guys done". Rick said yes. So, we had to pull out of this guy his findings. He said "well it looks ok I guess". Talking to this guy was like watching paint dry. Also, getting any kind of receommendation or his professional opinion or tips was like pulling teeth. The guy did not give us a document to say our fireplace was inspected and this is our findings. This entire interaction took 15-20 minutes max. When my husband asked him about his recommendations regarding converting our fireplace back to wood burning, Rick said "it's easy. You can do it. We will charge for it but you can do it yourself". Again, my husband had to pry details on what his recommendations would be. The process / technique etc,, This was a very disappointing experience. These guys were horrible and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The work was done on two different dates but completed efficiently and professionally. We will have Anderson's back each year to inspect our flue to keep the warranty valid. We would not hesitate to have them do work for us again.

I contacted Anderson Chimney Sweeps to initially provide a quote on converting an existing gas fireplace back to the original wood burning fireplace. They were one of several vendors I contacted during the process. Anderson Chimney Sweeps responded promptly and very courteously and set up an appointment to assess the job in a timely manner. Once on site, they conducted a very thorough examination and promptly provided me with a quote to perform the service. After receiving a very acceptable quote I indicated that I wanted them to do the job. They set up a reasonable timeframe and promptly conducted their service on the day it was designated. They performed all that they had indicated and thoroughly cleaned the area when they were done. Other than the removal of the gas logs I would not have known that they were here. During their time at my residence they were professional and very informative. I would not hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them to any other friends or family. I was totally pleased with the completed job.

It was a negative experience. They are actually a chimney sweep company but they did dryer vent cleaning. I would tell people not to use them. I wouldn't recommend them. They were responsive and they did come out but they left the dryer vent on my roof. He just left the dryer vent on the sides of the roof and tried to tell me that he couldn't put the existing chimney cap on because the screws were stripped. He said the only thing we could do was to put a new chimney cap on while I was between a rock and a hard place. Their responsiveness was good and didn't have a problem with the price but it was just the execution of the job that was not to my satisfaction. They tried to bait and switch me. When they left here it didn't settle well with me. The dryer was on the vent and they said a strong wind will blow it away which may be true but first it's going to blow into my yard and then my neighbor's yard. The chimney cap blew off in the storm and so asked him to reattach it but they said something about the screws. They said they only thing they could do were to put a new one on yet I found the old chimney cap in the back of their truck. I asked for that back because it was in excellent condition. Not only did they get me for a new chimney cap but they were going to go away with a chimney cap that was better quality only needing supposedly four screws and that was going to go onto the next customer's house.

Work was to be done on 6/4/2012. Employees did NOT REMOVE anything from my deck or around my chimney. NEW DECK FURNITURE, VEGETABLE POTS, FLOWER POTS, Vinyl siding on both sides of the chimney all left with a thick gritty coating of old Lime, sand and cement from the powerwashing. Used the homeowners WATER, GARDEN HOSE and ELECTIC for their power washing equipment. Employees leaned their ladder against my brand new gutters! Office staff person was rude and acted with disregard to my concerns! Another schedule was made for the masonry work to be done, AGAIN time frame I was given came and went. Again I was told by the office staff person that they had to stop for supplies, bricks. (One would think that they would have had the supplies they needed on their van, since it was their estimate done in April) It took my spouse and I several hours to scrub the grim and grit off of everything. Time will tell if the Lime and old mortar residue will PIT my brand new metal deck furniture, stain my vinyl siding and well the plants are a total loss.

I would recommend this company to anyone needing any type of chimney cleaning and repair. They are wonderful.
