All went well. They were very polite and efficient.

It was a special on Angie's List. One or two people came to do the work. They left the area clean. They completed the work. It was a pretty simple request and they did it quickly.

Went well. Driveway looks good. Only complaint is that I did wait the allotted 72 hours before using the driveway and my truck was still able to make 4 tire marks in the driveway where it was parked. Overall, I am pleased with the way the driveway turned out.

We (and our neighbor) just had our driveway sealed this afternoon and are very pleased with the workmanship and how quickly it was done. Looks great and we will definitely use Robert Stanley Asphalt Maintenance again when it needs sealed. Vince and his son were knowledgeable and very friendly, they answered any questions we had. We would highly recommend them.

Work went well. Vince contacted us beforehand to set up a good time; we did everything by email, no need to meet in person. (Ours is a basic driveway, except a little steep.) Work was completed on the day determined, and when we got home it looked fantastic! (Almost sparkles in bright sunlight, which is weird with blacktop.) One word of caution: When the sealant is in the "shiny" cure period, maybe 4 weeks it will be a little more slippery when it rains. Once it turns to a matte black you'll have the same traction as before it was sealed. Only an issue for a steep driveway like ours, and it's only come up once since we had the job done. Would use these folks again.

I have had Robert Stanley coat my driveway twice in the last 5 years. They do a good job but their prices are excessive. The job consists of cleaning the driveway surface with a blower then applying a coating with a sprayer which takes no more than two hours tops total. I had another contractor do the same job previously that cost less than half as much as Robert Stanley. Robert Stanley says their coating is superior but I frankly haven't noticed a major difference. In any case, the coating is oil based and should have come down in price with the drop in oil prices. While I cannot complain about the quality of the work done, the next time I need my driveway coated, I will look for a contractor with lower prices.

We have an enormous driveway that has been in need of sealing for a few years. We shouldn't have let it go...but we did, and we had lots of cracking to show for it that required hot fill crack sealer on top of the asphalt sealant. The cost was a little shocking, but I think in the end it is totally worth it. It would have been much less if we didn't have so much cracking. We'll definitely have this done again before it gets so bad. The major reason I chose Robert Stanley is because they use the petroleum based asphalt sealant rather than the coal tar sealant typically used in this area. Coal tar is water based, and it ends up in local waterways due to run off. It is likely carcinogenic and is generally awful stuff that isn't actually all that good for the asphalt anyway. The two guys who came out to do our driveway got right to work after talking with me, thoroughly cleaning the driveway before applying the sealant/crack repair. I got out of their way before they applied the sealant, but when I got home, I was met with what appeared to be a brand new driveway. They thoroughly filled/sealed the areas that were badly cracked and applied a uniform coating of sealant. They sealed the edges of the asphalt very well, which seems like it will help stabilize it. They roped off the driveway to allow the driveway to cure. Most surprisingly, there was NO smell--I think this is because of the petroleum-based sealant. Coal tar has to be heated and has a smell that can take time to dissipate. I was glad to not have my air conditioning pumping in the volatile coal tar chemicals.

They were prompt and tidy. It was one of the neatest driveway sealings I've ever had performed. Often times, driveway edges and trim can have some black tar bleed or residue. This job did not. I would recommend them.

My husband dealt with them and I kind of think he did not like it. He called and asked and they were like, this is what we can do.

I purchased a big deal to get the driveway sealed. After speaking with them I determined that some additional work was needed and scheduled it. It had to be rescheduled several times due to weather but not a big deal. Due to a miscommunication they sealed the wrong part of my driveway, but made it right by coming back and sealing the rest at a discounted rate. They were knowledgable and helpful in solving my problem, not just selling me their service.

I contacted the company via Angie's List. They sent a message the same day asking for my street address. I provided the address also on the same day and never heard from them again.

Very pleased with the completed project. The cracks were repaired and the driveway sealed with oil based sealer. The 3 inch drop in front of the garage was built up and they also resealed several feet in front of the garage. The initial contact was online and they responded quickly and professionally. Because of the rainy weather, it took time to schedule an appointment. However, they were in contact several times and even asked for us to send pictures of the drop in front of the garage. Would recommend Robert Stanley Asphalt Maintenance!

We used a deal for the sealing ($189) and due to the driveway being larger than i expected, there was an additional fee of $146 that I was not expecting. I definitely overlooked the square footage limit in the deal when I purchased it. I was not home at the time but they did a great job sealing and adding in sand as I asked. I am happy with the job they did. I would definitely use again. The communication was excellent and they didn't leave a mess behind. Thank you!

I never met or saw the provider. So I don't know anything personal about him. He did the work while I was away. No problems. As advertised. I paid extra because my driveway was bigger than what the deal included but it seemed fair.

The job was very nicely done. They didn't get any sealant on the brick I was very happy. They put a rubber sealant on the crack at the end of the driveway looks good.

Overall, the job went okay. I would have liked the job to have been done later in the spring after the Norway Maples stop dropping their seeds. These seeds and other misc. droppings from our verdant yard made the work a challenge for these seal coaters. As a result, we have lots of these seeds embedded into the seal coat. I also wasn't impressed at how I was presented the additional cost of the job based on square footage. The estimator/ worker knocked on the door and handed me an envelope with a bill on it...the cost went from the $189 to $603.43...the initial deal was for 900 square feet. I don't know what the square footage of my driveway was, so when it was determined to be 2407 square feet, the cost naturally went up...but by the time I received the bill, they had already cone the preliminary cleaning and were preparing to set up the seal coating equipment...I negotiated at my door to arrive at a price higher than I had gotten locally. it was only $14 more, but still, it was not the way I wanted to make a decision. I have decided from this Angie's list special experience, I will not pay for this type of service when it requires actual measurement and supplemental monies that far-exceed the original deal amount. I would not have a problem using them again, but they will need to bid in advance in the future to avoid the headache of on-the-spot negotiations as the worker prepared the seal coating machine in the background...too much pressure for even this experienced homeowner. The two workers who came out were polite, and they worked at keeping things neat despite the nature of their seal coating product...the overall job was good, but I can't rate it excellent because I will be living with green maple seeds sticking out of my driveway seal coat until they wither away and break off...

it was completed while i was away at work and was beautiful when i got home.

Service was purchased through Angie's List in March 2012. I had to contact owner when the weather became warmer to set up a date of service, approximately May 2012. They came out prepped the area, sealed the driveway by spraying all the asphalt surfaces with petroleum based asphalt sealer.

The service was fine. They people were very courteous. The price was reasonable.

After several cancellations due to weather, employees' medical issues, and equipment failure, our driveway is now sealed and sanded. IT LOOKS GREAT! The best it has in years! Everything was done neatly, professionally, and efficiently. In addition and equally important, communication is key. We appreciated that Vince kept us in the loop. It was worth the wait! We will recommend and use them again.
