Appliance Services LLC responding to my telephone call within a half hour and was able to fit me in the same day. Patrick was very professional and helpful and found the issue immediately. Between the fast response, customer service and fast repair, I would highly recommend! A++

From the first call, within 20 minutes of leaving a voicemail on a Sunday, it was perfect. Patrick has been in business for a long time and his professionalism is incredible! He was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, right on time, and the price was very fair for the amount of items replaced. It is good to know there are professionals like Patrick around for he is able to repair many things one might discard. He is definitely a good guy. I would certainly rely on him in the future.

Our 10-year old GE oven stopped heating up a couple of days ago (11/18). We scheduled an appointment through Angie's List (online) and were responded to reasonably quickly (allowing for the assumption that he was otherwise engaged on another project when we initially submitted the request) and were told that he wouldn't be available the next day, but would be available either of the following two days. So we scheduled for the second-next day (11/20). He said he'd be at our house between 10:00 and 11:00 and would call about ½ hour before - he called, and was at our house just after 10:15 and gone before 11:00 (quick & efficient), bringing several likely-to-be-needed replacement parts with him (again, efficient) He checked the oven out, verified what he thought the problem would be (based on both our description of the issue and his experience in dealing with this brand of ovens / ovens in general) and then set about replacing the part and verifying the results along with explaining what it was he was doing. After repairing and verifying, he made sure to put things back the way they were when he started and took the old igniter and box from the new one away with him.

He attempted to find the leak. Tried different things, until he found it. Then he tried to clear the tube in various ways, but when he tested to see if it was cleared, was still not totally satisfied that it was clear. He had to pull out the refrigerator and get in from the back. He found the problem, took care of it, and cleaned up in no time. I called him in the evening, and he came out the very next day. Can't ask for more than that.

Called him in the morning. It just happened that his next appointment was not far from our home so he was able to come within a couple of hours of the call. He knew what the problem was immediately. He had the part with him (he had gotten the model number from me over the phone). He completed the work within a half our and then tested the other functions of the washer to ensure that all were working properly. Patrick was very professional and competent. I will use his services again.

Left voicemail message with Appliance Service on Sunday. Received call back Monday morning. Patrick came to my home within 2 hours. Inspected machine and advised motor replacement. Since parts and labor will be closed to the cost of a new machine, Patrick suggested that I buy a new one. Gratefully accepted his recommendation!

I made an appointment with Patrick. He confirmed the appointment the day before and he arrived exactly when he said he would. He had to remove the back of the freezer compartment and he unloaded all of the frozen food himself. He removed the back panel and quickly diagnosed the problem and showed me exactly what to do in the event it occurred again. He then put all the frozen food back into the freezer himself and he even cleaned the interior of the freezer compartment. I was impressed. I thought the $80 charge was reasonable for the service he performed. I will call Patrick again in the event one of my appliances fails.

Steve returned my phone call in 30 minutes and showed less than an hour later. Replaced the belt in 15 minutes.

Patrick returned my call timely and came out the same day. He was very professional and knowledgeable and diagnosed and fixed the issue very efficiently. When it came to what is normally the painful part...paying, it wasn't painful at all. His price to repair and replace the part was very reasonable. I will definitely be calling him again if needed and recommend him to anyone.

Patrick was incredibly accommodating, efficient and a pleasure to work with. I called and left a voicemail on a Sunday, expecting a callback on Monday morning. He called me back within a few hours, and because of scheduling conflicts during the week, he managed to fit me in later that Sunday. I left a voicemail for Patrick after hours and specified that I didn't need an immediate call back because I wouldn't be available to have the service done until the end of the week. He called me the next day for details, and then followed up, asking me to do a test on the ice maker to determine if the problem was with the maker or a valve. On the day of service, he called me with the estimate, based upon the cost of the needed part and the approximate time he could be there for the repair. He showed up on time, quickly fixed the issue and the estimate was right on the money. He even showed me how to test the device in case of future problems. I will definitely call on Appliance Service LLC again if the need arises.

Very responsive & punctual. Returned my call quickly, came the same day to fix the refrigerator, fixed it in 1/2 hour, price was very reasonable. He also fixed another appliance for me last year & very satisfied with his work every time. Also, I called him recently for a problem with my dishwasher - he fixed that over the phone ! - it only took one minute & it was fixed !! Wow - a free repair !

We called on Tuesday evening because the dryer wasn't getting warm enough and he called us back later that evening to schedule a visit on Wednesday afternoon. He arrived as promised, just a bit early of his 2 hour window, and his initial quote for the work was right on the money. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it quickly.While he had the machine open, he checked out the other components and told us that the machine was in good shape. We will definitely call him again.

Replaced lid switch in washing machine that wasn't spinning/draining. problem fixed for $120. He also cleaned out my dryer ventilation for an extra $25

Patrick replaced the igniter in my Hotpoint dryer the day after I made initial contact with him. Patrick is extremely friendly and professional. He even took a few extra minutes to clean out my very, very clogged lint lines. I would definitely recommend him and would contact him in the future if the need arises.

He returned my call within 30 minutes and informed me that he does not work on Samsung or LG appliances. I really appreciate his promptness and his follow through. So many other contractors or repairmen would have just disregarded my call and left me wondering. I will definitely seek him out if I have any other issues with my non-LG appliances. Patrick returned my call very promptly and was so very kind in walking me through various steps to diagnose the problem over the phone! Even though I had never used his services before, he took the time to help with this problem and was spot-on with the diagnosis. He even called back to talk to me about what I had found when I employed his diagnostic advice. He didn't make a dime, but was so helpful and professional. In the future, I will definitely use his services for our appliance repair!

I called them to repair the dryer noise. They guarantee to call you back within half an hour. I told them that wasn't necessary, I wasn't having an emergency or anything, so he called me late that afternoon. My first day available was a couple days away and he accommodated my schedule. He called me the day before, the morning of and later to tighten up the window of arrival so that if I had any errands to run I wasn't waiting around for him. It worked out perfectly and calling me to firm up arrival time made me happy as I did have errands to run. Patrick fixed the worn and broken front top drum support and 4 glides, reassembled and retested it. Works great.

Great! My washer was having a very strange problem in that it would not wash on cold water, but would get cold water on the rinse cycle. So we knew it wasn't an issue with the water supply. Patrick came out on time, and prepared with all the parts he needed to troubleshoot the problem and complete the repair. Issue turned out to be with the temperature switch. He was done in well under an hour and charged much less than I was expecting.

Just moved into a new house and the washer and dryer we inherited were positioned such that the doors opened towards each other versus the logical away from each other. I spoke to many other appliance repair companies and none off them wanted to help. Patrick was very response and got the job done making all the appropriate adjustments to hoses.

Please Note: Very Short visit. Dryer not the problem. Mr. Shields already in the neighborhood. Mr. Shields returned my call within the 30 min that he estimated on his phone message. He came the same day within the estimated time. He quickly evaluated the problem and found the solution. He determined that the problem was the electrical. Not the dryer itself. The circuit breaker was reset and the dryer started-up! He also told me about things to watch out for and what to do to prolong the life of my machine which I very much appreciated. It was a VERY SHORT visit and since he was in the neighborhood, his fee was surprisingly reasonable! He is also very polite and professional.

My gas dryer had stopped drying clothes due to apparent lack of heat. Patrick returned my initial phone call within a half hour and offered to come out the same day (other companies I called said they couldn't come for 5 days). I was at work, so we agreed on the following day. He called ahead to say he was on his way, and arrived right at the beginning of the time window he'd told me the day before. I took him down to my laundry room and within a few minutes, while we were still just chatting, he diagnosed the problem and gave me a price. About 15-20 minutes later, he was done and my dryer was fixed. He also gave me good tips on cleaning out my dryer vent. I would absolutely call Patrick again.

Mr. Shields arrived within 3 hrs. which was wonderful. Her compressor went bad and it would be too costly to replace. The fact that he got there so quickly helped because we were then able to shop for another refrigerator right away. Mr. Shields was very professional and courteous and I'd recommend him to anyone.

Outstanding: Owner/technician Patrick Shields is courteous, friendly, knowledgable, professional, punctual, and responsive, and his fee is fair. He offers same-day or next day service, including on weekends and he returns calls promptly. This part could not be obtained for a week after his initial visit, which was distressing, but I know that he did what he could and he kept me apprised of exactly where we stood in getting to completion of the work. Late in the day of receipt of the part, he and an assistant installed it. Per my request, he also cleaned the refrigerator coils and eliminated frost so that my in-door water dispenser to be operable again. He cleaned the parts he used and the area where the work was done. I am so glad I found this fine company and would not want to do business with anyone else for appliance repair: top notch! Thank you, Angie's List!

Patrick squeezed us in on a Saturday (!) when I told him our refrigerator quit cooling yesterday. He showed up on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, cleaned up, and charged way less than other companies we spoke with who couldn't come until Monday or Tuesday. I would call him again in a heartbeat.
