Old school repair guy. Champion of the common people. Mr. Lee is a bit tough to understand, but that's part of his charm.

I would have rated this guy excellent except he was not as neat as I would have preferred, nothing real bad but melt water was running on the floor and he didn't seem too concerned, but he responded quickly, showed up on time, did the work relatively quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and was reasonable cost wise. I will use him again if need be but if your very picky about neatness he may not be your perfect service. If you want your refrigerator fixed quickly he's your guy.

Wonderful experience. I liked his recommendations on Angies List so called on Friday morning. He answered the phone himself and offered to come on Saturday, but I wasn't available so we set a time for Monday morning and he arrived right on time at 10 a.m. With one look at the spring mechanism, he diagnosed the problem, figured out what pieces he needed from his truck, attached new cables and installed them. He was gone within the hour and charged me $75 + tax (including all parts and labor). I recommend him highly and will certainly call him again.

My ice maker hadn't worked in months and the last time it did work it dripped causing ice to build up and clog the mechanism. I finally got around to calling for a repair and selected Appliance Service based on other reviews. Mr. Lee was not easy for me to understand, but he showed up on time, he was friendly, and he was efficient. He quickly determined that the old ice maker was beyond hope and installed a replacement that he had in his vehicle. Total transaction was less than 45 minutes start to finish and I now have a perfectly functioning ice maker. I considered the price to be extremely reasonable as well. Highly recommended - I will certainly use this company the next time I need an appliance fixed.

Arrived on time. Price was fair. Repairman was knowledgeable. No upfront fees, which I like. Will use again. Would recommend for sure.

Overall positive, with only what I deem to be a small-scale miscommunication that caused some aggravation on behalf of the repairman and my tenant. Repairman answered my phone call personally on the weekend and talked me through the issue within about a 10-minute call. Repairman practiced three-way communication, asking me intelligent questions and repeating back to me what we agreed to in order to repair the washing machine. He understood my situation of being the landlord and was okay with being the middle man between my tenant and me to set up a time to do the work. He provided verbal cost and time estimate and agreed to contact me by phone should the repair be different than what we discussed. I arranged for payment with him by phone. Related, a correct credit card charge appeared within a few days of the work being completed--no problems there. I asked for a receipt to be mailed to me (As of this writing, I have not yet seen the receipt, however, it's been less than a week since work was completed). The communication bump came between the repairman and my tenant to coordinate a time to meet at the tenant's house. Per my tenant, the repairman called tenant but there was confusion about whether a time was or was not confirmed (tenant referenced a language barrier and not being able to understand the repairman--I think that is a person-by-person situation on whether one can understand accents that differ from one's own). Tenant reported that repairman showed up at the house without confirming a time and had to wait a considerable amount of time until tenant came home from work. But once they connected, the repair was made within an hour and all was good. My tenant said that he told her it was more work than he expected, however, I did not here anything directly from the repairman to that effect. The machine was repaired quickly (within a day of my calling). Work was done well the first time. Work was done at a reasonable cost.

I though they were great. They were fast and efficient. Their prices were very reasonable.

We needed help with a newish dishwasher and a very old oven. I called around 9 a.m. Monday morning; Mr. Lee said he'd be out between 2 and 4 that afternoon. He arrived at 2:15, and made a good try at getting the old -- a Tappan he said was between 40 and 50 years old -- getting started again. He said we needed a gas valve for that, and that we likely wouldn't find one because of the oven's age. He then had the dishwasher -- a Whirlpool was just out of warranty -- apart and diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes. He had the part -- an overload protector -- in his truck so the fix was easy and quick, and he waited for the dishwasher to successfully begin a cycle before he packed up. The total? $105 plus tax, which I felt was more than reasonable. Next time we have an issue with an appliance, Mr. Lee will be the first guy I call.

I called about noon - the tech was able to come the same day - he analyzed the situation and determined that the motherboard was defective. He called to check about he part - he had it in his truck - he replaced it and put the refrigerator back together. He was here about an hour and had it working when he left. The motherboard was a $195 part and the other $100 was cost for the housecall, time at the site, and taxes for the part. I was very happy with the service! The cost was fair - but naturally I would always like it to be cheaper!

It was a good experience other than having to pitch everything in the freezer. Lee knew right away that a thermostat had quit but had to guess which one since I had turned the fridge off. He was efficient, professional, and solved the problem in good time. This was a 3 or 4 year old Whirlpool. First time I've used Appliance Service in Green Tree, and will definitely call him again if necessary.

Most satisfactory. Prompt, knowledgeable, efficient. Very fair pricing.

Came quickly and fixed the ignitor. Repair soon stopped working. Repairman came again, and readjusted some wires and it worked fine. No charge for the second visit. Much more responsive than some other repair people I've dealt wit

The repair person came out within the day and at the time we scheduled. He identified the problem quickly and repaired it. The refrigerator has worked fine since.

I really appreciate the Appliance Service Repairman coming out in such bad weather. However, the dishwasher was not really really fixed. It finally totally stopped. We called Sears and re-upped our support contract. They replaced the door panel which was keeping the start button from recognizing that the machine was ready to go and noticed that the upper shelf was not straight so the water was not connecting properly - which was why it was not cleaning. Perhaps we should have given the Appliance Service repairman additional calls to get it fixed...but we did really appreciate the knowledge the Sear Service repairman showed.

Serviceman arrived on time identified problem and had replacement part and restored refrig to working order.

The tech spent about 45 minutes repairing and cleaning the unit. He was quite thorough and we are very happy with the service.

Although his English is a little difficult to understand, he was punctual, courteous and efficient. Price was reasonable and left work area clean. A good service provider!

Phoned the day before and he showed up within the time frame. He charged me for the service call and the parts - very reasonable. He is polite and professional. This is the second time I've used his company and I'll continue using him for anything to do with the appliances.

He showed up as scheduled and immediately started work on the fridge. The motor was bad and needed replaced and he had the appropriate replacement part in his truck. We also needed a new filter which he did not carry but ordered for us and came back to replace a week later.

Overall, a positive experience and would call him again. Lee, the repairman, answered the phone and gave me an appointment available later in the afternoon (the same day I called). His English language was a little difficult to understand on the phone, but not a problem communicating with him in person. He arrived right on time, was polite, and quickly got to work. He finished the job in less than an hour and the dryer has worked well since! When he had the dryer apart, I asked him about replacing some of the other components. He said he had the parts in his truck, and would sell them to me and install them if that's what I wanted - but in his opinion I didn't need them because they looked good and were working well. I appreciated his honesty and will call him again the next time we have a problem with an appliance.

Phoned that day, he came over in the afternoon. Very polite and friendly, told me what the problem was in the first 10 minutes. Told me that he had serviced appliances for other people on my street. I had been ready to get a new dishwasher.

Overall, we were very happy with Appliance Service and plan to use the company for future repair work on our appliances. On Lee's last repair visit for our refrigerator, we asked him to listen to an annoying squeak that our electric dryer has been making. He understood the problem quickly, told us what it will cost to fix it, and informed us that there was no need to get it done right away but to call him if it got worse. We have trust in Lee's abilities and honesty and will use him again.
