It was just one guy who came to do the installation. His responsiveness was good. He showed up when he said he would. He was good, cordial and professional. He tested the water pressure and told me that it was too high and that is why the water heater had failed. He told me some other things too. I have had no complaints with the quality of his work. He was the cheapest provider. He was actually recommended to me by another plumber who had had good ratings and was close by but couldn?t match his prices.

Quick response and scheduling, showed up right on time. Did the job though not exactly as requested (did not move new heater to back of utility closet) saying they were trying to save me $60 in additional piping costs. Paid $20 for removal of old heater which they did, but after leaving found all their trash and boxes left outside my garage. Overall cleanup seemed rushed and lackluster. Did the job paid for in a timely manner, but professionalism could be improved so as not to leave customer feeling "on an assembly line".

Description of Work: We had an emergency here and I didn't know who to turn to. Just by luck I heard of this company while water was spilling into our basement. They showed up 2 hours later than expected but the wait was worth the while. They worked quickly, were professional and the work was done within an hour and fifteen minutes.

Overall excellent service hence the score of "A". The Rep. was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Of the total $265 charge $110 was for the new expansion tank. This seemed a bit high but since my orignal tank was full of water due to the failed internal bladder and the Rep. was already there, I chose to have the tank replaced on the spot instead of "shopping around". The Rep. never pressured me for additional sales. I have no idea what a new expansion tank would cost if purchased at a "box store". For reference purposes the fees were as follows: Service Call = $75, Labor (@ $35/ half hour) = $70, Parts (two pipe sections to replace the ball valve sections) = $10, Expansion Tank = $110, for a total of $265. In summary, this Mr. Waterheater organization scores an "A" with me. From the initial phone call right through the completion of the work they were excellent.
Description of Work: Hot water pressure had gone to zero in my home. The Mr. Waterheater Rep. instantly recognized the issue of clogged ball valves in the hot water heater inlet and outlet piping. He cut out the sections and showed me the badly calcified valves. He then installed straight pipe sections after explaining any new valves he might install would likely just clog up again. He further stated that this would not greatly affect the efficiency of the water heater. I readily agreed to his approach. He also checked and noticed that the bladder in my expansion tank on the cold side had ruptured and the tank was full of water. He checked the overall water pressure in the house and found it acceptable. However the air pressure on the bladder side of the expansion tank was very low as compared to the water side pressure likely causing the expansion tank bladder to fail. I had him replace the expansion tank as well. For reference, the power vent hot water heater (RHEEM) and expansion tank are original to my 6 year old home.

Contacted them on 10/4/2010 and they sent a crew on 10/5/2010. A simple exchange of old unit for a new one. Quick and clean service. The only issue I have is the $45 charge because the unit was on the third floor. Seems a bit high to me.

They were the most expensive. They were extremely well organized. They were very knowledgeable. It was clean, smooth, and fast. They don't do anything but water heaters. They were in and out within 30 minutes. They cleaned up after themselves and everything looked great. The man that they sent was very professional. I would recommend them highly to anybody.

It was a great experience. They arrived when scheduled, and explained every part of the job to me, including the extra parts they needed to install. The total cost included the water heater, two extra parts (ball valve and gas line), installation, and hauling away the old one. And their price was nearly $200 less than the price the Big Box quoted me for an inferior product. We were very pleased and would recommend this company.
Description of Work: Initially ordered a water heater from a Big Box store, but after doing research (lawsuits related to defective units), cancelled the order and looked on Angie's List. Mr. Waterheater received excellent reviews, so I called them. They returned my call quickly (it was a Sunday), and they were able to come the following morning. They offered me a superior brand (Bradford White compared with the Whirlpool I had initially ordered). They replaced the old unit, replaced some other parts (like an old, out-of-code gas line), and hauled the old unit away.

They did exactly what they said they would do; what they were talking about. They came on time. The price was exactly what they said it would be. When we called them to discuss what we wanted them to do, the person on the other end of the phone line was very knowledgeable. They had the brand of water heater that we particularly wanted. They had a range of products and one of them was especially desirable. They did a good job and put in a good quality product. There is a warranty on it. If we are in a different house and need a water heater, they will be the first people we will call.

They were very prompt, and the work was reasonable priced. They turned everything on, and four hours later, a sweat joint started leaking. We called them and they were back in 15 minutes and corrected the problem. I don't believe this was poor work, but just a case of trial and error. These were very experienced workers. I would hire this company again in the future.
Description of Work: I hired this company to fix our gas water heater that is connected to our chimney. When they came out, they advised that they couldn't touch it until we fixed our chimney and brought it up to code. When they started their part of the project, it included plumbing work. They installed an expansion tank that was not required when the house was built. It was needed to equalize the pressure coming from the pipes. Everything now works great.

If it's possible to be estatic about having a water tank installed, then I've reached that point. The installer arrived right in the middle of the 2 hour time frame he said he would come. I immediatley informed him of the extra work I wanted done besides the water heater. He listened and gave his recommendations and gave me a full estimate before starting which was pretty much near what I thought it would all cost. The pressure regulator and expansion tank weren't things I had thought about before, but after seeing how high the water pressure is in my boro, I agreed to them and after seeing online what other installers charge, I felt I got a good deal. After I agreed to the price of the work being done, the installer went to work right away. Since it was one man, I thought it would take 2-3 hours to do it all. I left the area for a bit and about hour and a half later, the installer had everything done. He then showed me the work he did and I was very pleased with how well everything was installed, how it functioned and how fast he did it all. He was very experienced, professional and curteous. The quality of the water heater is very good (even made in America!). I couldn't have been more happy with all this work being done as the old tank could've gone at anytime and the high water pressure was causing damage to my house plumbing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a hot water tank.
Description of Work: Replaced 15 year old 30 gallon water heater with a new Bradford White 40 gallon energy saver model with the Defender Safety System and Hydrojet self cleaning system. Also had 4/12 feet of gas pipe replaced, a pressure regulator and expansion tank installed, new plumbing pipes/valve and a brand new vent pipe.

They did an excellent job! We had just came home from vacation, and came home to a catastrophe. We had used them before, and I really liked them. It wasn't that expensive. They took the old waterheater. When they came in and looked at the old tank, they informed me that the water coming in from the line was rushing in too quickly. They suggested putting something on the inside of the house that guages the amount of water coming into the house. They said that if we would have put that on sooner, the old tank would have lasted longer. Now the water runs at the pressure it should. I liked that about them. They could have just put the tank in and left. I didn't want anymore water problems, so I told them to go ahead and do it. That was the third time I have used them.

They actually talked me out of spending more money than they thought was prudent. My main question for them was the difference between a 6 year and 12 year warranty water heater, and they told me there wasn't one. They suggested the 6 year even though that one was a lower cost. It was a very positive experience. They even recommended one brand over another. They were on time and neat. They did a beautiful job and it was a harder installation.

My old water heater died and started leaking. I did a fair amount of online research, and considered replacing it with a tankless unit, but that turned out to be impractical and cost-prohibitive for my home, in part due to the separate venting required for such units. Mr. WaterHeater was recommended to me by an office colleague, who had had his water heater replaced a couple of years ago. On the two occasions that I called Mr. WaterHeater to get some estimates and to discuss what I needed, all who answered were very patient and willing to discuss ideas, pros and cons, costs, and details regarding what my options were. The plumbers I spoke with on the phone were knowledgeable and frank with me about their experiences in installing various different kinds of water heaters. We concluded that for my household requirements and preferences, we should try to install a 60-gallon, 50,000BTU model to replace my old 50-gallon, 40,0000BTU model, for an estimated $845 total installation and disposal. I called the following day to set up an appointment and they were able to accommodate me early that same afternoon. I was given an arrival window of 12:30-2:00 and they (2 plumbers) showed up at 1pm. The larger water heater required a 4" vent, which was larger than my old water heater's 3" vent, so a new vent coupling was required - but due to the low ceiling in my utility closet, the new coupling for the 4" vent made it impossible to install the 60-gallon tank with enough room above it for the vent pipe to fit (even given its shorter tank height). Fortunately the plumbers measured this all prior to attempting the installation - we discussed alternatives, and concluded that we should instead install a tank of the same size I had had before (50 gallon, 40,000 BTU) since its vent was the same size as my old one and would fit in the space available. They substituted the unit immediately and, since it was a lower cost model, reduced the price estimate by $160, despite the added time spent. Upon completing the installation, they checked the water and gas pipes and connections for leaks, tested the water pressure, and explained fully to me the operation of the new water heater while turning it on, including precautions and signs of trouble to watch for in case of excessive pressure build-up - which might indicate the need for a pressure-relief tank to be installed (something I have considered doing prior to this installation and which I had discussed with them). The plumbers cleaned up after themselves and tested water flow from the water heater in the basement sink. I went upstairs to open the faucets in the bathrooms and kitchen to release trapped air and to check those. All went well.
Description of Work: Replaced leaking 12-year-old 50-gallon gas water heater with a new one; reconnected return flow pipe to new water heater; checked water pressure and all pipe fittings adjusted and replaced; hauled old water heater away for disposal.
