It was Jim's son that came over and did the work, and he did a great job. Switched out two outlets for me, and took a look at my breaker box which needs to be replaced soon. Came right at the appointed time, didn't waste any time, and was gone after testing the work. Great job.

Richard Boden is very professional, responsive, and friendly. The quality and the price are both great. The jobs include initiating protected circuits for a whole floor, wiring in outlets, switches, changing lights, installing smoke detectors etc. The jobs passed the city inspection.

He is very pleasant and professional. Completed work in a timely manner. He cleaned up very well considering the drywall dust that was accumulated. Jim and his son were very friendly, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Very reasonably priced. I personally pay with cash/check since he is very trustworthy.

Rich did a great job. The project took about 14 days of work (spread over 1 month). Rich just made small holes in the walls which were professionally patched up. This was in contrast to other contractors which said they would leave huge cut lines in the walls during the re-wiring. Each day when we got home all messes were cleaned up and Rich gave us constant updates throughout the project. Rich worked on the job himself which made us feel comfortable leaving him at our house to work on the job alone. A+ service, quality, and professionalism.

Jim and Rich were SUPER to speak with. Professional on the premises. NO CELL PHONES ringing and loud conversations while working which seems to be a constant in todays society and very disturbing to a business atmosphere. A young assistant named Ben joined Rich on one trip, obviously birds of a feather flock together, very professional as well. No matter how good you are if our people are not professional then neither is your business. I would recommend (already have) J&B to anyone and know my recommendation would not tarnish my reputation.

I called Jim after noticing that part of the main breakers in the circuit panel were severely damaged, and asked if he could come, give a look and provide an estimate. I described the problem over the phone and and he was available from the very beginning to listen to my questions and provide answers. He came, checked the panel and instead of jumping to the conclusion that the whole thing had to be replaced, since the rest of the panel was in good conditions he said that he would have tried to find replacement parts for the damaged components only (bus support and main breakers), which would have saved me some money. I really appreciated this, especially because other electricians I consulted before said that this was not feasible, and that the whole panel had to be replaced. After checking the inside of the panel, Jim also made sure that it was properly grounded, and noticed that it was not grounded to the main water line, which he suggested to do. In the evening of the same day he informed me that he had found the replacement parts, even though the type of panel I have is no longer sold in the stores. He also provided a written estimate for their installation, plus grounding the panel to the main water line. The cost was very reasonable, and definitely much cheaper than installing a new panel. The day of the service Jim was punctual at my door, and was able to install the new parts rather easily. His son joined him 30 min later, for the grounding work. They were both very approachable, and available to answer all my questions, After fixing the panel, Jim left, however not before giving his son few suggestions on how to optimally ground the panel. After starting this job, however, a breaker suddenly tripped, apparently for no reason. The electrician really did a great job to find the reason for that, which he found out being a metal piece inside a light fixture, that was loose and due to the vibrations caused by him hammering a wire staple on a wood beam, had fallen inside the fixture causing a short circuit. This was something that I would have never thought about, and it was a clear indication that all the Bodens know how to do their job! The grounding work was then completed successfully. Overall I was very happy with the service provided, and will definitely recommend J B Electric Co to whoever needs a professional and honest electrician.

Jim showed up a few minutes early with his son. They both went to work right away, Jim working on the sub panel and his son running the new wire (and removing the old one. We pretty much stayed with them the whole time, as the house was unoccupied and empty. The sub panel was moved from where my father in law had mounted it, because it didn't meet code in our area. We chatted as they worked, but they kept at it, finishing up promptly. They did a complete clean-up, and left everything neat, clean, and working properly. We expect to have them replace the main service panel (from fuses to circuit breakers) within the next few months.

Rich was very efficient and friendly explaining electrical mysteries as they came up, if I asked. He had to work around duct work in this 95 year old wood frame house as well as work through fire blocks. He stuck with his sight-unseen estimate and was here quite awhile. He was a little late getting here, but called and explained. I will call him for the next job that comes up.

The guy who came to give us an estimate was nice and prompt. However we never heard back from them. I've heard a lot of good things about this company and I'd like to be able to get my estimate. I will contact them today and update my review after I hear back.

JB Electric were great. They responded to my voicemail promptly. They gave me an estimate and stuck to it. They were on time and friendly and the work was completed exactly as promised.

Jim came over and gave me an accurate estimate . In a few days , I had a written proposal which I signed and returned . He called me and we set a time a week away. Jim and his son are experts. Very personable and considerate of your situation and premises, reliable, great work ethic, - they get the job done. They do exactly what they promise and charge what the contract says....Excellent crew , excellent job - couldn't be happier.

Jim was very professional and courteous. All work was done as promised at the estimated price. I believe that he went above and beyond by fixing of the some the problems that were encountered with the old wiring. Jim was able to find solutions and get the job done. They came promptly to give the estimate - scheduled the work- came on time-did excellent work exactly as I asked them to do- clean up was great- had a bad GFCI- they promptly came back and put a new one in - excellent.

Went superbly and without delay

I called them and they called me back the next day and were very courteous. They came by to give me a free estimate and are supposed to provide the estimate in the mail. He provided an idea for the lighting and how to do the work. He gave other money saving ideas for other home projects. He is personable, professional, and very nice.

JB Electric has performed work for me on several occasions and the work has always been very good, and fairly priced. Both Jim and his son are very professional, polite, and friendly, take time to explain what they are doing, and do not try to talk you into work that is not necessary.

When I had first called and talked to Jim he was very prompt and polite. I believe he came out that same day to look at the job. He said that he would give me a call back in a few days with an estimate, which he did. His estimate for my job was so much less than what I was expecting. I called Jim back about a week later to schedule the job, I received his voicemail and left a message. About a week later I still hadn't received a call back so I called Jim back and again I got his voicemail and left another message. A few days later I still hadn't received a call back so I called one last time but again I got his voicemail. I never tried calling back and he never called me back either. His price was incredible, unfortunately I could never get him to call me back to schedule the job.

They arrived approximately ten minutes early and immediately got to work. Before doing any work, they moved furniture and rugs and put a tarp on the floor.They worked for 4 hours straight until everything was complete. They cleaned up after themselves and put things back where they had been. They kindly made sure that the parts that I needed to send back to Hunter were in a separate bag. We were very pleased with their work ethic and will use them again in the near future.

Jim and his crew were timely, efficient and thorough. They came when scheduled, kept to the budget, and did little extras to finish the job that weren't necessarily part of the estimate just to do the job right. One thing that still stands out was how respectful they were of our home and especially how clean they left it after the work was completed. We own an old house that will require much work to get it where we want it to be and I know I don't have to go looking for an electrician. Highly recommended.
