Jim has done two jobs for me. In this day and age where you cannot talk to a human, people don't respond, corporations especially don't respond, and gov't certainly doesn't respond. J. B Electric responded in one day and got it done with quality, experience, and courteousness. J.B. has the CAN DO attitude and aptitude!!! None better!!!

JB is great. He removed our knob and tube wiring throughout the house; replaced older outlets and put up new ceiling fans. Even though the house is old and quirky he figured out how to make things work and was clear about when something was or was not worth the money. Excellent work throughout even though it was a demanding, multi-visit job.

He returned my call within a day, took the time on the phone to understand what I wanted, came out promptly the following week to inspect the site at no charge, recommended what needed to be done, and scheduled time to do the work within a couple of weeks. His final price was very close to his original quote, about $500 for four hours of work and parts. The issue was old BMX wiring with loose connections. Not only did he fix that, he also removed a lot of the old wiring that had been left around in the basement ceiling, installed GFCI outlets at key places, and in general brought things up to code in a clean way, which was my main goal.

James Boden of JB Electric did 3 miscellaneous electrical repairs and/or updates in my home. First he updated 2 wall receptacles from 2-prong to 3-prong. Then he updated the wiring in my attic because my roofer had replaced my attic electrical fan with a 100% solar fan. Finally he updated the wiring in my basement for several ceiling bulbs (plus new porcelain lighting fixtures for those bulbs) to make the wiring safer and to bring it up to modern code standards. He spent about 3 hours doing this work and I was with him all the time, asking him questions and learning by watching his techniques. I was impressed by the quality of his work and will use him again for any future electrical jobs.

I contacted JB Electric via Angies List to get an estimate on replacing a Federal Pacific electric panel, and other work in a home I am under contract for. He promptly responded and we set a date the night prior. He showed up on time and, on my request, also walked through other necessary electrical work in the home that the home inspection had identified and discussed optional work dependent on my needs. He was professional, thorough, and was able to easily communicate with me (someone with no experience with electric work) what my options were, what work needed to be done, what work I might want done, and what work was not needed given the home size and my electrical needs. I requested two quotes from him- one for work I wanted done, and one for work my agent and I were trying to have the sellers cover. He delivered those quotes very promptly. I will definitely use JB Electric again and hope to have him complete the work in both estimates he gave.

Electrian showed up when promised, was reasonably priced, solved the problem.

He was a lifesaver. If I could give an A+, I would. He had to fix and replace an outlet that was dangerous and left in bad shape by a different electrician who just could not do the job. His price was very fair, but not inexpensive (so I gave him a B for Price). Highly competent, very kind, and came in on a Saturday to do this work. It required more work than he had anticipated from my phone description of the problem, but he stayed until he had it finished. He is definitely my "goto" electrician from now on.

Provided a quick bid using Angie's message service. Was able to schedule to meet our availability . Showed up when promised and completed the installation quickly and professionally. Price was significantly less than other bids

Corrected the problem without damaging any walls

Nobody wants to pay a lot of money for electrical work, but I think it was pretty reasonable. It took a little bit of time for response initially. I was selling my house, and I needed to get some work done. Once he came out, we had the estimate. We set a date, and everything was very prompt. He was there on time. He finished earlier than expected.

They were the best in terms of price, and it was easy to work with them. We discussed beforehand what items we would purchase (the fan and the light for the top of the post) and what they would provide (the post with a solar panel). It's a father and son team, and they worked well together and got the job done fast. They cleaned up after themselves and everything works well and looks great.
