This was a very good experience. The estimate was fair. The two electricians we dealt with were easy going but professional. They were able to deal easily with an unexpected issue that came up when the wiring they needed was located in the corner of the ceiling and needed to be moved to the center. They also gave good advice on what style of lighting would work best in our kitchen. All in all a good experience. I would definitely call them again.

Excellent service and it only took an hour for James Jr. to resolve our wiring issue we had with a ceiling fan in our kitchen. He properly installed our new fixture and added a new switch plate on the kitchen wall. Quick response via email and quick to make an appointment. Very professional and would definitely use this company again for electrical work!

The GFCI that tripped and wouldn't reset controlled power to several high-priority kitchen appliances, like my fridge. So, I wanted to get it resolved ASAP and contacted and left messages for several electricians. Jim was the only person who could fit me in today, and I'm so grateful that he did! It only took a couple of minutes for him to diagnose what was wrong and correct it. He apologized for the standard service call fee, but the amount was very reasonable and I was happy to pay it.

Jim comes highly recommended after doing a fantastic job with my parent's home. I emailed him about a recently melted dryer plug and outlet (due to a failed attempt to install myself) on Friday late afternoon. He responded immediately and scheduled for first thing Sunday morning. Jim arrived right on time, identified the issue, and did the necessary replacement within 30 minutes. While he was there I asked him to take a look at a faulty overhead light fixture that had been giving me problems. He fortunately had a replacement in his truck and quickly swapped them out. I can't say enough good about Jim and his work. Not only is he a saint for coming out on a Sunday morning, he's also incredibly personable, very good at what he does, and reasonably priced.

Called J.B. Electric in the morning and Jim came around 1:00 the same afternoon. Jim was very friendly and very professional. He quickly replaced my defective Pull Chain Lamp holder and only charged $75. I had declined server from another Electric Company that gave me an estimate of $350 for this small job. I will definitely call this company for future electrical work

I called 3 other electricians, all of whom wanted far more money for such a simple job. This is a father/son operation and I initially spoke with the father, James Boden, but his son Jim came to do the work. I got scheduled for the very next day. He was right on time, explained exactly what he was doing and why, and cleaned up after himself. The repair itself didn't take long at all, and Jim then took some time to go over 2 potential future electrical projects and provide me with a price estimate for each option. I will definitely use them again and have already recommended them to my brother and sister-in-law!

Jim is courteous, friendly, and just an all-around good guy. He prices reasonably and I know I can trust the work that he does. This is the third time he's been at my house for odd-jobs, and every time has been a good experience.

JB was a pleasure to work with. He responded to our inquiry while we were under agreement to purchase our home. He spent a good deal of time going over all the components of the work we wanted performed. I met with four electrical contractors, and I chose JB because he had the most thoughtful proposal. I trusted that he best understood our needs, the status of the electricity in the house and the best approach. While he did not have the lowest bid, it was reasonable, especially given his other qualities and experience that I believe contributed to the success of the work in our home. JB performed the work in our house while it was mostly empty of furniture. He was responsive, timely and communicative. He knew when to ask questions regarding changes. Was reasonable in accommodating changes to the scope of work. He is precise in his work, and understands how to run wires and deal with electricity in old homes with minimal holes. JB performed a significant amount of work over 5-6 days. I would use JB for any additional electrical work we need at our home.

Jim was fantastic! He gave a fair estimate for the work involved, and as this was a new home purchase for me, he did a lot of extras, like replacing light fixtures, installing switches where needed, and replacing some old wiring that wasn't part of the original estimate. In addition to doing great work, he was genuinely kind and very attentive. I couldn't have been happier.

The whole job took one day longer than proposed. More than half of the new outlets are in the basement or on the outside of the house which required dealing with concrete walls. Jim took the time to provide protective cover over our personal belongings and had to work around some furniture and helped move other furniture. Very knowledgeable, personable, flexible and informative - and obviously very experienced as nothing was a problem for him. Jim also did a nice job of cleanup and made sure everything was as it should be when he was finished. A#1 Thank You!

Jim was quick to answer the phone and responded with same day service. He identified the electrical outlet causing the break (marginal connection of hot wires to the 3-prong outlet) in a timely manner and reattached the loose wires. Jim was prompt, courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable (good discussion on house wiring from homes built in the 60's). I would definitely call JB Electric again.

I am so glad I called JB Electric. I found Mr. Boden on Angie's List when we moved into a 94 year-old house and discovered lots of issues that needed attention. He is prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job for us. He was at my house from 9 am to 6 pm and fixed everything I needed. We have never lived in an old house with BX wiring and I had a lot of concerns, but he answered my many questions very patiently. It was obvious that he cares about doing the job right and he will keep working at it until it is done right. I will definitely call him again. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

JB was great, quick, and gave us what I felt was a reasonable assessment for the work we requested. He could have pushed a few other issues and charged us more but I believe he was truthful, and in the end, helped us move our project along more quickly.

The appointment the estimate went very well. He was very informative and we had a good conversation about the project. Ultimately he convinced me I should find a better HVAC provider to find a solution to provide more forced hot air to the rooms rather than electric heating. I think it was the right thing to do even though he wouldn't get any of the work.

They were really good. They came out right away. I was very happy with them. He knows definitely what he was doing. He was able to fix it and do the job.

We had purchased a chandelier from a local home store. The chandelier was quite large and weighed about 25 pounds. It recommended installation by an electrician. We had used J.B. Electric in the past and called. We needed it installed by Dec. 11 and J.B. Electric was able to schedule us. The chandelier was quite heavy and difficult to handle. The electrician had to improvise a way to hang the chandelier from a joist in the ceiling, and it took almost 3 hours total. He said he was ready to give up several times but wanted to complete the work. He only charged us $130.00, but we gave him a good bit more due to the difficulty of the work and his effort. We would definitely use J.B. Electric and highly recommend them.
