They were very professional. They gave a very professional estimate and took pictures before and after because we couldn't see way up high. They arrived when they said they would arrive and the estimate was very reasonable.They cleaned up everything. They were perfect. They would get a 10+. I would absolutely use them again.

Mike did an excellent job repointing the brick. House was built in the late 70s and Mike matched the brick perfectly. Very professional. You cannot even tell there was a crack at one time. Excellent job. Came as a recommendation from my sister-in-law.

They were very prompt and I liked the fact they send me an estimate via email. They were very prompt at calling me back to answer alot of questions I had, and to set up date and time to start the project.The worker were very prompt left me no mess if fact they even rack up some leaves that they did not have to. My home is close to 100 years and it looks like a new home. They also did a very nice job setting a clean line between my home and the next row home and alerted me to an issue on the neighbors home that will effect mine. I would absolutely recommend them and I hope my neighbors ends up using them when the get thier home pointed.

EXCELLENT! From the point of contact to the completition of the job Mike does awesome work! Returns calls on time, shows up when he schedules the appointment....give a proffesional estimate, provided pictures of the chimeny sections that needed repaired before/after. Mike and his crewed showed up on time and completed the work in one day. The cleanup was complete and the work was done professionally and without any problem. A couple hours after the work was completed, there was a massive thundershower that dumped a tremendous amount of rain. I was a concerned that the rain mights have washed away some of the mooter that Mike had just installed, so I asked him about it. He offered to check it out when he was in the neighborhood, which he did. He also removed some debris from gutter that was causing the gutter to overflow at the roof line. He didn't have to do the check and I can't thank him enough about checking the effects of the storm and clearing the gutter on my 40+ ft roof.

Chismar Brick Cleaning & Pointing came when they said they would, set up their gear, did their work, cleaned up and completed the work in one day. The work was to repoint two chimneys on top of a three story roof. I didn't inspect it, but they told me that it should be good for 20 years, so check back with me in 20 years for a report. I would recommend Chismar Brick Cleaning & Pointing for this type of work.

Despite repeated voice mails left on different days of the week, I never received a response. I did not have an urgent need for pointing, I could have let him work around his schedule. I regret leaving voice mails number 2-4. I shouldn't have to beg someone let me hire them.

Amazing ! Brick looks like new.Can't believe it. We were getting our house painted (trim) and wanted to re-point the bricks before we got that job done. I got bids from several local companies; some wanted to slush the whole house, which I wasn't interested in because of the mess that I envisioned from that process. Mike came out and looked at our house and told me that he could re-point it the regular way and we decided to go with that. Chismar's pricing was competitive - like I said, I got quite a few bids. They were here at the house on the date promised, even though the weather was getting iffy at that time of the fall. The crew cleaned up at the end of each day, worked steady, and the pointing was completed after 3 days even though they were called away for an emergency one day. Plus, Mike spotted some weak points on our chimney and fixed those for no extra charge. We're very happy with the job: they matched the color of the old grout well, didn't make messes, patched some crumbling cement in the foundation, and did a good clean job on the pointing.

Service was prompt and professional. He seems to know his business well. I would gladly have him do more work for us.

Michael Chismar and His crew did an excellent job. Very professional,returned calls ,came on time,did an EXCELLENT JOB......I found Him on Angie's list. I have already called him for additional work on another project.

I called Mike to repoint the railing around our front porch and repair a window will. His estimated price was very favorable over the others I received. When they arrived to do the work, I asked him about some small patch areas that a couple of the other contractors had recommended and he took care of them for no additional charge. The crew arrived on-time worked very hard, completing the work in one day that others said would take two (probably the reason for the lower price!). Turned out great. As others have noted, Mike can be a bit hard to chase down but definitely worth the effort.

Michael arrived promptly as scheduled to see the project. It took him longer than stated to give us our estimate and we needed to call him asking for it, the reason for a B on responsiveness, over all, not a big deal but we were anxious to get moving on the project. His quote was much, much less than the other 2 quotes that we received. Michael and his crew arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a timely manner. We had removed the shutters from the house (after the estimate was given revealing more paint and there was no change in the quote) so there was a lot of paint on the brick from the prior owners painting the shutters while still on the house. We also had paint chalking that had run off onto the brick. Michael and his crew were able to remove all of the paint from the brick. It looks so clean and bright now, The cleaning made a big difference. There was a rather large gap in the mortar on the corner of the house, several other cracks in the mortar, a lot of mortar missing on the sills and many small holes. They fixed them all, not missing any and matched the mortar color very well. Michael was very easy to work with and very professional, I would definitely recommend him.

He may not return your phone call right away, but it was definitely worth the wait!! He and his crew were so personable and hard working. It is a bonus to have nice people doing the work because it makes it more comfortable to have them around your house. I would definitely use them again and refer him to other people!

They also did a good job cleaning up all debris, etc.

we contacted three companies for bids to repoint or rebuild our two chimneys. the bid was in the middle but the owners provided me with confidence. a date was set and the crew arrived as scheduled and all work was done and cleaned up. you would not have known the work was done as the sight was left clean. during the bid process it was explained what work would be done and some of the causes of the chimney damage. I would hie re them again.

We recently had our Roof replaced and found the we also needed Pointing on the Chimney done. I was given Chismar's number from friends and I am so glad we went with them!!! My call was returned right away and Mike is very courteous!! The job was done quickly, efficiently and Clean!!!! Not only did they do the Job I hired them for but as they were on the roof Mike and his team noticed I had a few cracks in the mortar around my upstairs windows and the corrected those for me... Mike did not have to do this but he did!!! It would have been just as easy for Mike and his team to call me and say we need to have that fixed next and give me a price....but not Mike he just fixed cause it need fix!!! I am buying a house, and the home inspector advised me to obtain an assessment of the chimneys. I had a very limited time to do this within the inspection period of my contract. I looked for the best providers according to Angie's List, because I wanted a real assessment done by an experienced professional. I was not sure I would be able to get someone in time. I was very happy when Mike Chismar responded to my ASAP request. He set an appointment time with me to do the assessment. That was very important to me, so that I could be there to hear his assessment, and so that I could tell the people who were selling the house when and who would be walking around on their roof. Mike came over to the house within the inspection time, went up on the roof, looked at all of the identified issues, and provided an assessment and estimate on the spot.

I called about 5 other companies to provide estimates on repointing the bottom sides of my house and repoint my chimney which was in desperate need of repointing. Mike came out took a look and was prompt returning my estimate, phone calls and emails. His prices were very reasonable (compared to a few other companies) and Mike was very professional. I was able to schedule Mike and the guys to come out the following week. They arrived promptly, performed the task quickly and courteously. Their work looked great! They matched the mortar color exactly. I am very impressed with the repointing and the chimney. I would recommend Mike and the crew anytime, and if there needs to be any more repointing done at my house or any friend's house, I would recommend Mike in a heartbeat. This is a great company with people who really care about what they do!

My initial phone call was returned within a couple of hours, and Mike and his son (also Mike) came to look at the damage to the chimney and surrounding masonry the next morning. An estimate was given and accepted on the spot, and the work was performed on the next day that the weather (and my availability) permitted. I was thoroughly satisfied. I've used them before and I would do so again.

We have an old house and the bricks are in bad shape. Michael repointed the bricks in the spring and mentioned that they could be cleaned. We asked him to do the front of the house. They worked on it on the hottest day of the year and they worked so hard. You would not believe the difference in the brick. I will try to upload bbefore and after photos. Basically we thought we had tired brown bricks but we really have beautiful red ones. I nearly fell over when I got home and saw how gorgeous the house looked. Amazing job. Great people...we love this company.
