Randycame out to do the initial consultation to find out what I wanted and to see if the work was possible. He was on time, very professional and attentive to what I was looking for. He quickly provided me with a written estimate describing in detail what work would be done, a time line, and costs. Work started and was completed as promised. The main contractor, Paul, was very professional and considerate to my family when he was here. He did not leave any mess in the house, which is remarkable considering the dirty work the remodel entailed. When the project was finished, it was even better than i'd hoped because they made every effort to make enough space for a larger vanity than I thought possible. This gave us more storage and counter space that is very handy in a small main bathroom.

They were good. They were punctual and did a good job.

I have used them a couple of times. I used them once in August 2011. We had a part of a shower and the tiles in one of our bathrooms collapse and the wall behind it collapsed as well. They redid that and reset the tiles. They did a lovely job of that. They worked on our patio backyard. They put a handrail on the steps down, on my back porch. Recently we had them come in for roof cleaning. We have a flat roof on the garage and the house and between the two of us; we took all the leaves that come off the trees, off the roof. It was amazing. They also did other typical handyman kind of things. Their prices are pretty reasonable. The quality of the job is excellent. Their responsiveness is superb. They are punctual. They are very professional. I would use them again.

They came the next day. We would use them again.

They mostly looked at stuff more than fixing anything for me. It didn't work out and it was unsatisfactory. I don't know what I was expecting I guess but the services they offered was pretty limited. I thought they could handle whatever I needed but it is too limited. They couldn't do what I wanted which was sort of a priority for me. They were responsive.

We spent about $125 for their services which was reasonable. They were good. The gentleman who works for the company was very polite and professional. He was very informative, helpful, knowledgeable and flexible. We are going to use him again in the spring because we have some work planned in the garage to be done. So, we are going to need their service again to help with that. I would also recommend them to anyone.

He had called. He was on time. He did a fantastic job. We didn’t really have any complaints about him. We thought he was a bit expensive. We would continue to use his services in the future.

They are very nice people. I had a flood in my bar area from the toilet flooding over. They gave the estimate and will be back to do the work at a later time.

Jason arrived on time, was efficient and professional. Completed work quickly and work was very good. Will use again.

Very well. Both workers were punctual, explained everything very clearly and were very pleasant to have in the house! When one worker was ill, I was contacted straight away and a new workmen was sent quickly.

Was told the plumber would call on Sunday for details before coming on-site. This did not happen. The plumber apologized and did not charge me for time spent planning the job for information he could have aquired over the phone. First it was discovered the main water shut-off valve was broken and needed to be replaced. We re-scheduled to perform this task. I was told to contact the water department to schedule the outside shut-off and turn-on of the water. After speaking with the water authority it was conveyed that plumbers in my area turn off and on the main water all the time. It also saves me a $30 turn-on fee. It was outside and easily performed. This could have saved me a few days of re-scheduling. After removing the existing faucet and sink, it demonstrated that the new sink would not work with the existing counter top. I initially thought we might have this problem and choose Handyman Matters because their website listed them as kitchen remodelers. They even have great before and after pictures of some of their jobs. I asked if they could help with the counter top. They could after I purchased the counters from somewhere else. They were not even prepared for recommendations. We could not replace the existing faucet due to damage upon removal. The old sink disposal collar could not be removed. The plumber was afraid he would damage it trying to remove it. I ended the job having no sink or faucet....needing some time to decide my plan forward. I did not want to have multiple contractors involved in this very small job. I also had to decide about kitchen counter I wanted for replacement. I spent an evening putting the old sink back and adding the new faucet to use while I waited for my kitchen coutner tops to be fabricated and installed. i removed the disposal collar in 10 minutes using a flat-head screw driver. Very simple task. i also re-installed the sink and gargabe disposal. (Took me 2 tries; the first I did not re-putty the disposal collar and learned it needed to be re-done). I believe I expected more than the services provided. I thought this was a very small, simple project. In hind-sight, I would have just removed the existing sink and faucet myself.

Expected the job to be finished within 2 hours. had originally planned for only the lights to be installed but then was told that since I would be paying for the hour, I should have other things done. I canceled the plumber and asked 2 simple faucets to be placed. The job took over 4 hours. The guy was nice but just working in slow motion.

He was not able to finish the work in the time that he agreed to on the initial visit. The area that was identified as the one that was causing a problem was not corrected, as he said, it would probalbe trip again and the receptacles were not replace entirely. Therefore, The job was not completed.

It will be interesting to read what happened

Called on Frday, 7/15/11 regarding replacing the posts on a patio roof. Sandy said she would check with her handymen and call back Monday. No return call. Called again 7/19/11, spoke with Randy. He said he would call me back by the end of the week. Today, Tuesday, 7/25/11, no return call. I guess they are not interested.

I spent a little over $600 on that work. The guy who came to do the work was upfront about everything. He told me what he was going to do, what he could do, what it would take and that it was up to me as to how much work I wanted to do. He was honest. The owner called the next day and asked me if I was happy with the work. I might call them again because I want to do up a bathroom.

He is responsive, reliable, and very easy to work with. He also has good prices.

After a family member had done a recent upgrade of the dining room switch to install a high-end dimmer switch, the switch stopped working properly. The switch problem was due to the family member's error; the mis-wiring had led to a burn-out. Unfortunately, there is now no dimmer switch in the dining room; this was not the serviceman's fault, of course! The serviceman did very little explaining as he worked. I prefer to remain highly informed at all times. He was slow to propose a solution; I suggested just re-installing the original switches. He was professional and polite but seemed a bit frustrated with the process. I was told by the management that electrical troubleshooting and solutions are safety-based and that's why he took such a long time to fix the problem. I didn't hover but I was available in the next room at all times. When I expressed my misgivings to the management, they refunded part of the fee I had authorized. I feel I was treated very fairly and professionally and I would hire them again, but perhaps not for electrical work.

Excellent work. Easy to schedule. Arrived on time. Did a great job with all the tasks. And cleaned up too. Was not able to prime and paint the hole patches since compound had not dried. (That was mentioned prior to the appointment) Also, one of the landscape lights was broken in the box. For both the painting and the landscape lights, he gave me clear, detailed instructions and I completed them myself without incident. Great experience overall.

The baseboards were being re-stained and in the process they had spilled stain on the carpet. They attempted to get the stain out and were unable to get the stain out. Without hesitation they asked me to get estimates on replacing the carpet and to give them the estimate once I found one. I got the carpet replaced and they reimbursed me the price of the replacement carpet. They are nothing but professional, I've used several times and will continue to do so in the future. Any time Handyman Matters comes over, he asks exactly what I want done and then does so without hesitation. There work is wonderful!

Maybe it would work if you just need a few hours of work and nobody else likes to take it. This company charges hourly so you have to know what the normal speed of the job, which is difficult. They also don't come to give you estimate; they just show up to do the work actually just one person initially, charging $95 for the first hour and $65 for the rest per person. To finish our work, their charge would be at least 5 times the estimate other companies give. Very expensive and unpredictable for the cost if your work is not just a few hours of work.

The installations went very well, this is a good company for simple plumbing jobs.

Called and made an appointment. Was told on the phone how pricing worked. Paul came out on the Monday the 9th I showed him what needed replaced he again explained the costs for doing the work. I agreed and he went to work. I was happy with the job he did.
