I would just like to say this was the best contractor that I have ever hired. I contacted Handyman Matters to have some Crown molding and shadow boxes (wall frame) installed in my house. I left a voicemail and got a prompt response back from Randy. I made an appointment to have them look at the work and the person (Lee) was there and was on time for the appointment. Once the estimate was complete we schedule the work. The carpenter showed up everyday until the job was complete and he was very professional. The work he did was extraordinary. I will be using this contrator in the future for other projects I have around the house.

Before my experiences with Handyman Matters, I have always been able to rely on my husband to do all the handyman work for our family. So, I was really spoiled. But he has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor and can no longer do much work around our home. Thus, I found Handyman Matters on Angies List and contacted them to see if they would be able to help make some critical accommodations to allow my husband to get around in our home. The staff was incredibly responsive and even expedited their schedule to have one of their handymen come out to put up a railing to allow my husband to go up and down stairs. I loved the individual they sent out, Lee. He was professional, prompt, and polite. He was very thorough yet efficient handling each of the jobs we asked him to do. I especially appreciated that Lee patiently allowed my husband to be the assistant from his wheelchair. It meant a lot to my husband to be involved. Overall, It was a fantastic experience. Everyone at Handyman Matters reflects a top quality and caring organization. We will most certainly continue to use them for our "handyman" needs!

I was pleased with these guys 1) A real person ( Sandy) answers the phone and always calls back. 2) They always call the night before visiting. 3) They call on their way to the job 4) They call to make sure you were happy with the job They do what they say they are going to do and always show on time. Tony completed the work and was really good to deal with. As soon as I saw him turn up in a clean , tidy and organized truck I knew it should be a good deal. I would use them again. It is a shame that all experiences with contractors can't be this good.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did. I originally called to have the baseboards replaced in my basement. The old baseboards had been damaged by flooding. Looking around, I also realized that there were several other jobs I had been "meaning to get around to" for quite some time but hadn't actually done any of them. During the initial visit, I pointed these out and we added them to the list. They included replacing the guts of three toilets, replacing two light switches, repairing a loose wall light, repairing a damaged access door in the basement, and repairing damaged insulation around an air conditioning conduit in the basement. Tony set to work and when I got home that night, most of the matters were fixed. The baseboards required him to come back the next day to finish. If it hadn't been for him, the stuff would still be broken and I would still be telling myself I would get around to fixing it "eventually". I can't describe how nice it is to have a bunch of jobs that would have taken me weeks to do (assuming I ever got around to doing them) done in two days. The work was well done. Tony cleaned up everything when he left and even left me spare parts in case I need them in the future. Overall, they did an excellent job.

The service provided was outstanding and above what I could have done myself. We are planning on several other repairsand have decided to have Handyman Services to complete the work(September). They are simply--outstanding!

They are amazing. They charged me $35 an hour. They were really a nice experience. It was really nice to have a general handyman to do everything. They were on time which is great, they were fast and affordable.

Love 'em! From scheduling the estimate to the clean up, Randy, Sandra and his installer, Wes, were great. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sandra returned our call and scheduled the appointment for the estimate, explaining everything in detail. Randy came out to the house, took measurements, and had the estimate to us within 24 hrs or so. He spec'd the material for us to purchase, which was really helpful and much appreciated. After we received the ceramic tile, Randy scheduled the work for the following week. Randy met Wes, his installer, at our place first thing in the morning. We reviewed the details of the job, and Wes went to work. Three days later, we had a beautifully tiled tub surround. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

It went really well. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I asked and received suggestions on future work. On time. Did not waste time!!

This was the best experience we have had with a contractor. Tony and Chuck are very knowledgeable, professional and creative. We had some challenges with this project, but Tony had some great ideas and the results were beautiful! We live in an 80 year old house that had the original kitchen with farmhouse cast iron sink that hung on the wall and original built in cabinets. It also has a radiator under it! They were able to modify the sink base and install it around the radiator. Also, cut out the panels in the sink cabinet doors and installed fancy metal screening to let the heat out. The work was done in a week! Tony and Chuck are great representatives of your company.

He was very cordial and got the job done quickly. He was compliant and very accommodating.

Confusion about dates of service & details of work order were VERY frustrating!

I was pleased with the service from the first phone call to the finished product. Kathy in the office was friendly and efficient and Lee, the craftsman was thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I won't hesitate to call them again.

Spoke to Kathy the day before the service provider was going to come out. They had to reschedule multiple times due to illness.

I was very pleased with the work performed- Randy, the owner of the business, was always very responsive and professional. From the first visit when he came to look at our bathrooms for a quote, through the job, and the last few administrative paperwork items at the end. The person (Wes) who physically worked on the renovations was also very courteous and professional. I appreciated his sense of detail, particularly when it came to the tiling. Grout lines were straight and clean and everything was done with quality. He was always on time and always kept us in the loop with each part of the process and set expectations. An important distinction to make with Handyman Matters is that the crew - whether it's one or more people - are actual employees of the company. They are not 3rd party contractors, so I feel this extra accountability by being employees is a big driver of the good quality work. Both Randy and Wes were also very helpful with recommendations and advice. I had opted to purchase the major materials/fixtures myself. (Like tub, shower pan, tile, sink, faucets, shower heads, etc) - and they were very accommodating, providing suggestions on places to find what I was looking for. In terms of pricing, I rated it a B because I did receive lower quotes initially from other contractors. But as with anything, you get what you pay for, and I think Handyman Matters is reasonably priced for the good quality work they do and because of the employees they hire. If you are looking for someone to do the job for the lowest price - beware of the quality. But if you want to hire someone who will take time to understand what you want, explain to you everything that is going on, and holds a high bar for quality and professionalism - then you have to be willing to pay a little more. Overall, I would recommend Handyman Matters of Pittsburgh to anybody looking to do bathroom or kitchen renovations - and even for simple jobs like plumbing, wall patching, etc (they also work small jobs by an hourly rate).

The process was great. He did everything that I asked and informed me through the whole process.

Very satisfied with the results. From our first contact with Sandra and then Randy who came to the house to discuss our project with us and offer his ideas. All communications were handled promptly and efficiently. We even added on another small project that was also handled with the same professionalism. Must also give a hats off to their craftsman Wes, who did the job and did it well.

Everything was great. Very professional and friendly. Very nice to work with. I have an older house and he was knowledgeable about all the issues that go along with older homes. Would definitely use this service again.

These guys did a great job. Courteous, fast, and professional. I highly recommend them and would use them again. They're a little pricey but I didn't mind paying extra for the quality of work and professional service. Randy called to follow up on the job as well.

We have always been satisfied with them. I feel comfortable with them and I know I can trust them.

Overall, they did what we asked of them. Put in a new bathroom, stationary tubs and shower. Also did some minor repairs on things in our bar and around the house. Very professional and neat. You won't have a problem with this company. Highly recommend them!!!

I think it was a great experience. The estimate was accurate and detailed enough so I was sure what they were committed to do. Workers were prompt and courteous, answered all questions and did the project exactly as I described it. Most important to me though was the fact that they responded promptly and fixed a couple of minor complaints I had after the job was finished. I would give them my strongest recommendation.
