Richard did exactly what I wanted him to do. He was very informative and did not charge me extra for testing the shingle. They did not test for encapsulated asbestos. They tore down the old roof and shingle, cleaned up, put a new roof and were out of here in three weeks. They did it on time and cleaned up after themselves. The shingle quality was good compared to what others had offered. Their guys were very helpful. *14:26 They showed up on time every day. The price was pretty much what I wanted. I have no complaints. They did everything they said they were going to do. They ran over my yard with magnets to pick up any stray pieces. The owner called me from vacation to check. I was pretty happy with their service. I appreciated the fact that they put customer satisfaction above all else.

After the job I had some problems with a leaky roof and I was unable to reach him. I later found out he was out of the country. They stood by their work and were very apologetic about me not being able to get in touch with them. They did more than I expected. They repaired my gutters that I had a problem with and no one else was able to fix. He thought outside the box. I would use him again if needed.

My roof was in pretty bad shape so I started calling around looking for estimates to replace it. Mitch Ackerman came out and spoke to my wife and I about the roof. He was very down to earth and explained everything very well. He also was willing to work with me to get to a price that we were both comfortable with. I had already researched Richard Felser Co. online and found they were highly rated on Angie's list and the BBB. I signed the contract with Mitch that night. Mitch said it would be about a two month wait before they could come out to replace the roof. I was initially disappointed in this estimate of time since that would put us close to the end of October and the weather in Pittsburgh is anything but predictable. I was pleasantly surprised when the foreman called a little over a month after signing the contract so I was getting my new roof before the end of September! The guys arrived first thing in the morning on a Friday and worked all day in sections removing the roof (shingles, felt paper, flashing, etc) till the early evening. The weren't able to do the whole roof so they came back the following Monday and finished the job. The roof looked great. It was clear that they are professional as every aspect of the roof was spot on and not a scrap of mess was left for me to clean up. The only evidence of their presence was the brand-spanking-new roof. It's been over two months since the roof was put on and I have not had any issues with the roof at all. All shingles are still exactly where they placed them. Bonus: I have satellite TV and they were even able to remove the dish and put it back without messing up my signal (other than during the actual roof installation of course), that is impressive on it's own!

I called Richard Felser Co in the middle of June and told them the work I wanted to have performed. They were able to schedule the estimate on the date I requested. Mitch arrived on time for the estimate and was very professional. He broke down the cost of the job for me so I could see how he came up with the total amount it would cost to perform the job. I accepted their proposal that day. He said they had a backlog of 6 - 8 weeks and if I did not hear from them after 10 weeks to give them a call and they would send someone out to do the job even if they did not have any work in our area. A week later an employee came out to measure the area. After 10 weeks I called them to ask for a status. I was told that my job was not scheduled yet but they would contact the foreman to let them know I called. I did not receive a call back so I called again three days later asking to speak with Mitch to get an update. Once again I did not receive a call back. I called the next day and luckily someone else answered the phone. I explained the situation and Mitch called me back within two hours. He said the worker scheduled to work on my job was finishing up another job and should be conctacting me shortly with an install date. After an additional 3 weeks I finally heard from the installer and set up the installation time for September 27th at 9:00 AM. Fifteen minutes before they were supposed to start I got a call from him stating that he still needed to finish up his other job. I told him that was very unprofessional because I had already taken the day off work to be there for the install. He apologized and said he would be there. We ultimately ended up rescheduling for Friday. They arrived on time for the install and it went well. It looks beautiful and we are happy with the work that was performed. If you decide to go with this company expect a longer wait time than they provide.

We purchased windows approximately 14 years ago with a 20 year guarantee. The sales process and installation was fine. However, in the past 3 or 4 years, 2 of the windows fogged up badly. When I called the company asking to have the glass and seal replaced, they told me that the glass supplier had gone out of business, so we would have to find our our glass and then they would put it in for a $75.00 fee. I was livid and told them finding the glass should not be my problem. I let it go for about a year and then called them again and demanded that they honor the terms of the guarantee we were given when we purchased the windows. They were not very professional at all about it. The windows have all become loose and developed a black grime around the seals. We are currentlly shopping to replace them after only a little over 15 years.

They are good. They are highly knowledgeable. They offer excellent value in their price. They probably had the best cost value in the area. The quality of the windows is good.

We decided to go with a different product. I will keep them in mind for future projects as a result of their professionalism.

The job was started on time but the wrong color siding was started and when I noticed it Felser removed it and the next day put up the correct color. The siding, soffit and fascia were installed very well and we are pleased with the job. We had new windows installed and were told the screens would be replaced at no cost for the life of the windows and when one screen was damaged Felser promptly replaced the screen.

Everything was excellent from the salesman to the product and to the installation. The price was very reasonable.

I contacted the company through Angie's list. Received an immediate email response and Scott was at my house with three days. I explained what I wanted, we toured the area, he gave ,me a fair estimate. I read the contract he left with me, and called him a week or so later to give him the job. Everything was explained in great detail, including my right to cancel within a period of time. Soon after, a representative from the company arrived to take measurements and order the needed materials. Because the summer was so rainy, they did not get to me until fall. I did not have a problem with this . I just wanted the work done before winter. Scott kept touch with me the whole time, letting me know what their schedule looked like. He apologized profusely for the delay, but they were victims of the weather. When the crew arrived, they completed all the work in a timely fashion, cleaned up everything, and did a superb job! There is absolutely nothing out of place. All work was done as noted in the contract. The last day of work, even though there was a family medical emergency, the installer in charge, still came and worked all day to compete the job. I could not have asked for abetter job!

Their service was excellent. I had a positive experience with them. They are a local company and are very much respected. Everybody I dealt with was very polite, and I did not find them intimidating in any way. I am a widow and am very careful. I felt very safe with them. I will use them in the future.

They are offering a discount off installation stated 30% and the gave me an offer for 40% off installation. The gentleman was very professional.

Their off season price was good and that's why we ended up picking them. After we had the work done we had windows done by another company and they said there were things that the siding company didn't put on right. At the time things looked great but as other contractors came in, they said that some things didn't look quite right. They were supposed to come the day before the big blizzard because we didn't have gutters and the guy never came so I was screaming at the owner to get the guy back here to fix the gutters because I didn't want everything to melt and get a big flood because we had no gutters. It was a nightmare. Everything is fine now and it could have just been the contractors they had. They were nice when they were here. They treated me nice and the guy that came out for the estimate was professional.

I called the company and within days a gentleman came gave me an estimate. He was punctual, professional, kind, and very knowledgable. He listened to our needs and provided us with an excellent product. The order was placed and when the windows were manufactured and timely appt. was set up for installation. The 2 gentleman that arrived for the installation were wonderful. They were considerate and respectful. They confirmed/reviewed the work order with me and got right to work. In 2 days, they had replaced 7 bay windows and 4 double patio doors! The trim around the doors and windows was skillfully replaced and the house was left clean without signs of them ever being there. I have done many home improvement projects and by far, this was one of the smoothest experiences I have ever had. Great job...keep it up

Gene was polite, but pretty much made it clear it was not a job that this company was interested in doing. I am assuming he is a sales rep.He was gone in about 15 minutes.

This company was very professional from setting my initial estimate to the roofers completing the roof. I contacted 3 companies they had the best price. The salesman was very professional. The roofers were great they let me know a few days in advance they would be there. Due to mother nature they were delayed a few days but the kept me informed. Once they arrived they worked diligently got the job done. Cleaned up everything didn't know they had been there except for my new roof. I am very happy with my new roof on my home and garage. I would recomend this company. I will be using them again this summer (2011) for windows and siding.

There were many issues with the install. In one area they broke the sheathing. They shingled over the area which was deflected 6 inches.It took 3 days to get them to repair. l could not get any response from the company on the other issues. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

When I first called, it took over a week for this company to call me back. When I told them I need them to check a leaky window they originally installed. I gave them my tenant's phone number so they can decide when their company can arrive. The company arrived when scheduled and recaulked. The window no longer leaks.

I spent $4000 on that work. It took a little long for them to call me back but after that they were great. They did an excellent job with the roof and it lookd great. The guy works fast. I had to call them a couple of times to remind them to put me on the list and I kept getting bumped back.

Great! They installed in one day and did not damage any drywall. We did have to repaint around the window opening but very minor work. They were very professional and clean during the project. We are very happy with the purchase and have told other neighbors about our experience.

I did not go very well. Note that I gave a grade A for every quality. The seemed great in every category. But I have a lot of awnings to replace, and I specifically asked for someone that could suggest to me what they think would serve me best. I really made that a specific need. A very nice guy arrived - very polite and knew the product line perfectly. However, every time I asked him what he would do to while replacing all of my awnings, he just said that he could do whatever I wanted him to do. Absolutely no vision, no suggestions - just a catalog of choices. (Note - this catalog is very nice and their prices are not that bad). I am giving them a grade D for not sending the correct person when I made it a specific point to do so.

I have no complaints about them. They followed up with an estimator and put me in their schedule. They did good work even though it took them awhile to get to me. I don't fault them for that however as there was lots of storm damage to a lot of homes. I'm sure they were very busy.

I had to call them back because I had water pouring in one of my rooms. They admitted that they shortened my downspout so thats why water was pouring in. They took so long to come out that the damage was much worse had they come sooner.

They were wonderful. I chose them because I had a coupon for them. I looked at a lot of windows and talked to a lot of different contractor's and one of my neighbor's had windows I liked which were the main thing. I also liked their door and Felser had it. The porch and my ideas changed a lot, it was more like an add on in the end. That was tricky for them and for me, but we got it done. They sent someone over to show me their products and he was a wonderful person to work with. He actually is what made me go with them. I talked to a lot of window people and some of them just turned me off. They contacted me to let me know when they could start the job. They came when they said they would come and the windows were easy. The siding was more difficult because it was rainy. I kept changing my mind about the porch and it was rainy so that made it difficult. They worked well with my changes and they were very flexible. I was very happy with what they did, how the windows work and keep everything cozy. With these new windows there days in the summer that I didn't even need to turn the air on.
