It went fine overall

They never showed up!

They are very polite and very efficient on the phone and getting to the home we were impressed by the pleasent people in their appointment department. So this is dead accurate we had the estimate in June or July of 2011 at our home in Chambersburg PA. This was not a horrible experience but it was not a good experience either. The good the salesman arrived within the window of time they said. Wasnt a bad guy seemed nice. He came in small talked for a minute, called my door lumber yard quality, really didnt look at our windows, wasnt informative, this was like a bad hockey game ya know the one that ends 1-0 and no fights. Ok so little small talk, measure the home, then ask whos coming out? This is where we were turned off, if he liked the company their product was subpar, but he pinpointed a company and just unleased bad after bad after bad intention. He was so detailed and specifc that what he actually did was want us to check out his story not to make him right but we wanted him to be wrong. We just did not like his tactics but we did investigate his claims, what claims you ask well no names that would not be fair but he claimed that a very large competitor of his went out of business changed names to clean its BBB grade, it had a C or D and now its an A plus, we checked into this allegation and it was false and impossible, what he was ignoring is that all the numbers addresses and names of contacts had gone unchanged, we pointed this out when he was in our home he dismissed it by saying "they did it" but guess what they didnt. He also made a statement that the company had filed bankruptcy that did not happen. There were other claims that he made that we disproved for our own mind but her is what baffles me and my husband: He claimed that Install America is owned or owns Newtown Slocumb a window manufacturer, that they make windows for other companies but they have an exclusive product of their own. Ok the baffling part, what, so you are making a product selling it to other companies then you go into a home and compete head to head with those who are buying your product it doesnt make sense. We dont find any claims to support his claims. In short we did not use them to install the windows we went with the company their salesman kept bashing and have now had work done at our new home and my mothers home in New York.

The salesperson was very friendly and not too pushy, I have listened to other pitches and found most to be very pushy. He gave me a time frame in which someone would contact me, which they did within the time frame. Someone came out and measured the windows and the door frame, all friendly and professional. They gave me a time frame for the windows to be completed, I think 4-6 weeks and they were done when they said they would be. I received a call from the head contractor and we set up a time to get them installed and one guy came out and installed the 15 windows and 1 door in 2 and a half days. I love the way the new windows look and I am hoping they help over the winter time.

After signing our contract, we were contacted within the promised timeframe and an install date was set. Followup was performed at least once prior to the actual install. The crew of three showed up on time, and were all very professional and friendly. Our only disappointment was that they were short one window, a large picture window. The crew obviously knew their business because they completed the install of 9 windows nearly by morning's end. They were very neat and respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. With regard to the window that was not yet ready, that was installed the following week and again very quickly and professionally. After the install we had some very minor issues with several of the windows. They were simply very tight and a little difficult to latch. A foreman was dispatched very quickly and performed some minor adjustments and everything has been fine since. I don't know what the service will be like long-term but they were very responsive in the short term. The windows have been installed for about 5 months now and we are very pleased with their build and insulation qualities.

I would tell people not to use them. They didn't clean up after themselves and they didn't finish the job the first time like they were suppose to.

They did not follow the blue prints I wanted. I ended up having to pay more than I initially agreed to. They also did a lousy job with the construction process. Update (2/12/15): I just hired a handyman to install a ceiling and some flooring. He found that the carport was not square at all. I had also contacted them about 2 years after the carport had been built to have them fix some beams what were bowing, as well as install some steps and roofing storage, which was all part of the original contract. They said they would take care of it, but never came back.

Everything was excellent. We initially had a problem with the phones and getting ahold of them. We eventually realized the land line wasn't working and the problem was fixed. The gutter work they did is working wonderfully. The installation crew was excellent and did a great clean up job.

There were 2 Hispanic guys and 2 other guys who did the gutters. They were very confident and the Hispanic guys were very hard working but there was a bit of a language problem. They were very helpful and cooperative. The overall project was very good.

Above was a down payment on 8/20/10, with $2000 more due upon completion of work. Today I called 5 of the phone numbers listed on their business card to find out if they had scheduled the job, but none answerd. Have they gone belly-up?

They did a good job.

They had a very fair price. I had seven companies out for estimates and they were hands down the best price for the best quality with the best warranties. They have been in business since 1959. It is very professional. The install was so smooth and worry fee. I had rotten wood in my sills that replaced for free.

When the gentleman came he said it would take eleven thousand dollars for the entire house. He said he could drop the price to eight thousand but he can't leave until we said whether or not we would do the deal. He was very pushy.
