We had two occasions to call Zimmerman's. The first was for a short-notice water heater replacement. After another contractor told me no one could come out the same day, and that no one would want to fix my existing water heater, we called Zimmerman's based on a Google search. From the first lady on the telephone to another lady on the phone and the gentleman who came to our home the next day, everyone was pleasant, personable and yet still quite professional. They exude credibility! I explained our desire to the plumber and he showed me a detailed spreadsheet of options to choose from. Various levels of hot water capability and speed of thermal recovery and the associated increase in cost were illustrated as we went "higher" in the order. There was also a price breakdown that depended on whether or not we bought into their annual maintenance plan. He casually mentioned they would not provide any warranty service if we did not buy their maintenance plan. With some research after he left, I later realized that the company selling the water heaters provided warranty through their own contracted plumbers. For a high efficiency, quick recovery, natural gas, 50 gal water heater, the rock bottom price in that category was $2800 without maintenance agreement and he quoted me $4200 for the top end! My wife and I let the color return to our faces and said we would let him know. He was very nice and I would not hesitate to trust him to do the work based on our interactions, but wow--the cost. We decided we could afford a couple of extra days of cold water to "do this right" and within another three days had made our decision and gotten exactly what we wanted installed for a total of $2225, versus about $3200 with Zimmerman's for the same model. Zimmerman's came back a month later to quote installing a vanity. While he was here, the plumber went downstairs to look at the plumbing setup and told my wife we had an excellent water heater! (We agree...)

This company was prompt, courteaous, and attentive to addressing my needs. I definitely recommend this company to others. They do very good work.

They responded in one day. The tech was friendly. He explained the situation and was very knowledgable. Job was complete a couple hours later.

Our gas furnace went out during a recent cold snap. Called Zimmerman and the tech came out promptly. The problem did necessitate a new furnace due to a cracked heat exchanger and related issues, and so we discussed options with one of their Comfort Advisors (Tim) who came out, assessed our needs, measured the interior, etc. The work was promptly scheduled and the installation techs arrived on time. The work was completed that same day and the system has been up and running smoothly since. Today, Tim came by again to ensure that we were satisfied and to ensure that everything was as it should be. We are extremely pleased with the company: everyone from the phone customer service person to the techs (Ed, Chris, Jim) has been friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The installation was also very neat, and the techs wore booties or used drop cloths every time. We look forward to working with them in the future for maintenance/care and would not hesitate to call on Zimmerman for other requirements. Would recommend the company to others.

We routinely use them because of their prompt and quality service. They make sure the job is done right.

Was VERY disappointed. When I called in I was told it would be $69 for the service call and then anything added on that I may need for repairs. The tech showed up, was nice and on time, came into my house, looked over my unit, hooked a meter up to make sure the unit was getting power, turned my theromostat up to make sure the unit turned on and pulled out my filter. I asked him how much he would charge to put my digital thermostat on the wall (I had bought one just needed someone to put it in) and he stated $161! He must have been crazy! After talking with the guy for a few more minutes about the unit, he had serviced it when the prior owner lived here, he then tried to tell me he was cutting me a deal by taking $10 offs the cost and that I owed him the $79 plus another $74 for him touching my unit! He did nothing! I was not told there would be added charged for him to shine a flashlight into my unit and hook up a meter to test the electric! Was very upset about the hidden cost and the fact they didn't tell me this from the begining! Will NEVER recommend this company or use them again!

Woke-up to find that we had no hot water. Could not light pilot light in gas water heater. Called Zimmerman. Plumber arrived as scheduled 2 hr later. Replaced broken part.

The two gentleman were punctual, polite, and respectful of our home. They both wore booties upon entering the house and kept everything neat and clean. It took them 3 hours and 45 minutes to get everything done. The work was very meticulous and looked very professional, although they had to return 48 hours later for a very persistent tiny leak (< 1 oz/24hours). I did give them a "C" in the price category because I overlooked the fact that they were charging me $225 to carry the water softener to their truck. Overall they were excellent and I think most people would be very happy with their work.

Scott from Zimmerman's did an awesome job installing the new pump and backup system. He also found an unsafe install of a vent pipe for the water heater and fixed it up to code. My original sump pump failed during Hurricane Sandy and I called Zimmerman's at 1 AM for an emergency call. They were very helpful on the phone and had Scott out to my house within an hour...due to the other calls they had. He was very attentive to questions and concerns I had during the work and completed it. His service was top notch and took time to explain everything while standing it 2-3 inches of water at 2 AM. Thanks Scott!

I called Zimmerman's to see if they could check out my outside unit because the fan was not working which at that time the house was getting a little warm. They said they would be there in the afternoon. They called 2 times saying they were going to be late and they finally showed up late in the evening. They checked out the motor for the fan and said it was bad. They had a motor on one of their trucks, they replaced the motor and got the unit working, in the rain and after dark. I thought the price of the motor was a little high but for what they did it was well worth it. I would call them again whenever the need arises.

Everything went great, They really listen to what i wanted and delivered on it!! They didn't try and sell me a bunch of "extra's".

It went well. They were quick, efficient, and did everything we asked.

The price is as per our maintenance agreement. We have not had any problems with our heating system, from since we have been getting our routine service. We have been really satisfied with them. Last time when the technician came out he just recommended that we get an upgrade because of the age of our unit and this took us by surprise as we have not had any problems with it. We weren't happy with that as we didn't want any sales man in our house, we wanted someone just looking at our appliance and tell us if there is a problem. In terms of the price I have nothing to compare the price with since I have been using them quite long.

They were very nice. Two guys came over and they did a really good job in figuring out the problem. We were really pleased by their services. I will recommend Zimmerman Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning services to others. They were very good.

Called within 10 minutes of leaving message. Appointment made same day as call placed. Didn't charge after hours fee even though they stayed after 5 p.m. Called 15 before they reached house but still came at time appointment was...very thorough and nice man made the repairs....unfortunately, they berated us with phone calls after this service to try and sell service agreement and replacement heating and a.c. systems that I told them I wasn't interested in at the appointment although they gave a general estimate if at a later time we were interested in upgrading...

I called Zimmerman to do some work required to sell my house. They were prompt, courteous, and did the work as requested. What was notable is I had an issue I wasn't sure needed done or not. They sould have told me the work needed to be done and made extra money, but they were honest and I did not need that particular service. I highly recommend!

They actually came out during the flood last year. They did such a good job I gave them a service contract on our heating, and ac. They are very attentive, and they are prompt. I have recommended them to friends, and family.

That service was great. I don't know what the annual maintenance is, but I pay several hundred dollars. They come 4 or 5 times a year. The responsiveness is very good.

OUTSTANDING! From the moment I called the first time and the secretary said, "Zimmerman plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. We're proud to be Americans.", through the whole experience these folks are the real deal. Because of the house I bought I have had to have several visits from these professionals over the last 9 months. Each time they have been very accommodating, very professional and very patient with me as I had to make decisions after asking a multitude of questions. I hesitate to mention the amount I have spent because it has been done over several jobs. However, I will say it was worth every penny in each case. Additionally, each employee that came by to do work was very professional, friendly and willing to accommodate our needs and educate us on the issues. Thanks to them for several jobs well done. You can be sure that we will call Zimmerman's again if the need should arise. One final note: most of their workers / professionals are military veterans. Thanks for hiring vets.

They did a good job. I think that they are way overpriced. The quality was good. They were very professional. I would not use them in the future.

They are a real good company. They come on time and do good work. They clean up after themselves, but they are a little high with the pricing. They show up dressed really well and are very professional.

Zimmerman is the best comapny ever... i have 2 homes and will use them for everything they do

They replaced the water heater and it doesn't work that great but they want to charge us to come back out to look at it. They have been out about 20 times and they are usually very good, but this last time they just weren't. Before this last time I would have said they were excellent and I would have recommended them to everybody. We have a maintenance plan with them so they come out twice a year to go over the heater and air conditioner, they change the filter, and they make sure everything is running as it should. They put the little slippers on their feet so they don't dirty the floor, they are professional, and they get the work done. They have replaced a lot for us and they are usually very good and professional. Their quotes are generally right on target.

We were always pleased with their service, but the last time they came they just presented the bill and didn't provide us an estimate. It was $800 and we called them about it and they said they always give an estimate but they did not. I would say they are always prompt, polite and extremely clean about picking up after themselves. I think they know what they are doing.

They were very friendly and very prompt. They were very effective and efficient. They fixed it right away. I didn't get competitive bids but I thought it was expensive and I guess that's probably the going rate. The pipe is still good. They came right away and it was an emergency call because I had water flowing.
