Offers a great maintenance plan for HVAC. The workers are very good.

They are very responsive and they do a good job. When ever I need something they are out the next day. They have done plumbing for me a well. What I like is their responsiveness and quality of work.

Always get the job done quickly and to my satisfaction. The number I will write for the cost of service is my best guess of what I've paid them over the past 20 years.

The solution worked! The following day a gal from the office called and asked if everything was okay and if I needed their services. I replied that the service tech I spoke with on the phone had given me great advice and that if I needed them in the future they would definitely be my "go to" company. I had called another company initially and the person to whom I spoke gave me no advice on how to fix it myself...he only kept telling me how much it would cost to come to my home "after hours" to fix the problem. I was impressed by E. Zimmerman's customer service and professionalism and will have no problem contacting them in the future with other issues I may have.

I thought the pricing was very comparable, it was less than I thought it was going to be. They came when they said they were going to. The crew is top notch and know their product!

A couple of weeks ago the company that had been servicing our furnace announced they would “no longer be able to guarantee a specific technician to do scheduled maintenance.” Consequently, we began looking for another HVAC company. Based on comments by neighbors and Angie’s List reviews, we scheduled a visit with Ed Fickes from Zimmerman Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. Yesterday Ed and Cody (a trainee) came out. Ed added sensors to our furnace that had not been in place before. He made adjustments that reduced carbon monoxide output and increased the efficiency of the furnace. We also added hot water heater and gas fireplace servicing (in the process, discovering three features of our gas fireplace we had not known about). At the end of the visit we scheduled our 2017 service visits from Ed, and he gave us his business card. It includes his personal cell number. He encouraged us to call him if we have any questions or issues. We seem to be off to a great start with Ed and Zimmerman.

They had to come back again the next day, it wasn't completely fixed. They didn't charge us to come back the second time. They came out the same day that I called them. They didn't give up on us until the job was done.

Punctual and professional , as usual. Work performed quickly and cleanly. We have had a service plan with them for 10 yrs. , and used their plumbing services twice. Response to a frozen pipe issue a few years ago was outstanding. Not the cheapest guy in town, but they do provide great service

We came home to a sewage back up in our basement about 10am on a weekday. We called Zimmerman and were told it was $70 to have a technician even come out. I felt this was an outrageous amount for a weekday, during normal business hours, with such a close proximity to their headquarters. Unfortunately due to circumstances, we had not much choice. The technician arrived promptly and was very professional. He attempted to snake the main drain using a $20 handheld drain snake. This did not work. He then told us it would be about $450 for him to bring in the large power snake to clear the clog. I was about floored at the price considering that's how much the unit costs new. I reluctantly agreed to this as he said the main line would get completely cleaned out with this tool. Long story short, he snaked the drain enough to get the water moving again. Fast forward 3 months later, the drain again was backed up and sewage was covering the floor of my basement. I called Zimmerman again to see if they had any type of warranty. I was told there was a 30 day warranty. I explained that the technician did not clear the line completely as he said he would and that is why it has backed up again. They told me it would be $70 to come out again to check it out and even if that was true it is still not covered under the 30 Warranty. I told them thanks for nothing and did it myself with a rental machine at $40 for half a day.

Very punctual and professional. Our technician was very knowledgeable about our system. He explained everything that he was checking and it's reason. Our system is running great!

The work was completed promptly and correctly. The problem is with their billing practices and non-disclosure of billing practices. I was charged a non-itemized fee of $344 to replace the valve and a $69 "trip charge" for a grand total of $413. They installed less that $75 of parts - 8 hose clamps, a 6 inch piece of pipe, and a 1 inch check value. The "labor" was 1 hours worth of work and 1-2 hours waiting for someone to bring the check valve - this is a common part that any reasonable person would have on their truck - ESPECIALLY since I told the scheduler AND the service tech that the problem was in the check valve. I am not sure what the $344 included? Lets say $100 in parts? That leaves me paying $244 for 1 hours labor, waiting for parts to be delivered, PLUS a $69 trip charge. To add insult to a $413 bill - the work is guaranteed for ZERO days. I will be calling them for a more detailed explanation - because my wife paid for the service - I was not home when the work was performed. If I am satisified, I will contact me credit card company and let them work this situation out.

They came recommended. They were on Angie's List which answered all the questions I had. They provided a prompt and a good service. They did everything they said that needed to be done. They were pretty proactive.

I called Zimmerman Plumbing and Heating for warranty service on my inoperable water heater since they installed the unit 3 years ago. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The technician arrived according to schedule and was able to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, the technician found that the part needed for the repair was not in stock after a wait of a few hours. The part was ordered and the technician arrived the next day as scheduled to complete the repair. I was disappointed that the technician did not use footwear protectors in the house. It has been my experience that other provides of this nature use them regularly. Otherwise the service was completed satisfactorily.

They wanted $69 to "send a technician to your door and if you get the work done that will be, of course, extra." I WOULD NEVER PAY TO JUST HAVE SOMEONE SENT TO MY DOOR!!!!! TOOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!

Zimmerman charges $69 for a plumber to step into your house. This charge is OVER and ABOVE any other charge and is not a credit to your bill. For this reason alone, I did not book them.

Zimmerman charged me $1,245 for a U.V. Lamp that another company stated they could have sold me for $60.00. Also Zimmerman wanted to charge me $1,700 to clean my air ducts which I had done for $800.00 by another company listed on Angie's List. Because of Zimmerman convincing me that I had a Unindentified Bacterial Issue) I spent $5,000 to replace my heat pump and furnace only to find out later was no mold problem. They are definitely a "for profit" company and in my mind took advantage of me being a senior citizen woman living alone. I would never deal with them again and will not even use the second visit of my paid maintenance contract. I spent thousands of dollars on maintenance and parts that I should have normally spent a few hundred on. Thank goodness I didn't buy my new heap pump from them because they wanted to charge me $10,000 for a unit I paid $5,000 for from another company.

They are courteous. They are timely and work cleanly.

I called a smaller highly-rated firm first, and he could not fit me into his schedule on short notice. Knowing I had an urgent problem that needed to be fixed, he mentioned the name of one or two bigger firms who could probably come out on short notice. The one I remembered was Zimmerman, and I also remembered that this firm was also highly rated. So I called Zimmerman and they scheduled me for the next morning. When the appointment time rolled around, no plumber! I waited about an hour and then called. It turns out they misplaced my work order, but they were able to get a plumber out to me an hour later (but not after trying to push me into buying a service contract!). The plumber was very friendly, clean and professional. He replaced a small section of leaking sewage pipe in a wall. It only took one hour and about $10-15 in parts but it cost $410 just for that small section! And it turned out that, a few weeks later, I had to call another plumbing company out (another highly rated one here), because the leakage continued in a lower section of the same pipe, under a concrete floor. That second plumber (after I told him about my Zimmerman experience) warned me about plumbers who get commissions or have only fixed prices for their services. (The second plumber offered me either a fixed price or time-and-materials, and I saved at least a couple hundred dollars by choosing the latter.) If Zimmerman had charged time-and-materials, my bill would likely have been MUCH less than $410, but I guess their price book helps them pay for their extensive media advertising. Live and learn.

They came out promptly to investigate the problem and fixed it.

I think that they are good at what they do but I think that in my experience they are a little pricey. The staff was great. When they come to your house they put the little boot covers on so they don't track through your house. This last winter our furnace cut out and they were able to talk to me over the phone and fix an issue temporarily which got us through until someone could come out and take a look at it.

Wanted central air in our home. Called 3 companys for an estimate, first company was here for 10 minutes and said they would send me an estimate in the mail, never got one. Second company was here longer, but we felt they were trying to sell us more than we needed. Ernie Zimmerman came out and talked to us, and even set up a second time to come out and show us what a unit looked like how it worked and how it would look in our home, explained everything to us. The job was started on time, and the workers were very professional and friendly. Our experience with Zimmerman's was great, my husband and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called PH Zimmerman because I have seen their trucks in our neighborhood fairly frequently. I needed to have a kitchen faucet replaced and I have the replacement faucet. This job is just to take out the old faucet and replace it with the exact same kind. The girl on the phone said there was a $69.00 service charge and then the plumber would give me a quote when he got there. I schedule for the next day. Zimmerman called the next day and cancelled my appointment. We rescheduled for the following day. The plumber showed up about an hour later than they said he would but that isn't too big a deal. I got the quote and it was $316 plus the $69.00 service charge.. Total $370 to change out a faucet!!!! I asked the plumber if he needed any parts; answer - no. I asked him how long it would take; answer less than one hour. I sent the plumber away. $360/hour for a plumber is a complete scam. STAY AWAY from these rip off guys.

Prompt service from the Company. I placed a call on Friday, they were able to fit my appt the following Tuesday since the other company I had made plans with cancelled on me.
