They did a very nice job and the windows look great. I would recommend them.

The price was $8000; however, I have a lot of windows. The boss, himself, came out and checked-in on his workers. He wasn't there all the time but when there was a little bit of difficulty afterwards he came out and helped us. I am very satisfied with the windows.

He hm's and ha's over my windows for a minute or so and then proceed to try to convince me that I should replace all the windows in my nine-year old middle-of-the-row townhouse because my heating bills are probably too high. He seems puzzled when I tell him my heat in Jan/Feb is $60. He then went back to the speech he was probably trained to give touting how awesome the company is that he's working for and he's never worked with such a great company and they want to make sure you get what you need. Great! I need ONE window replaced. Well, they're not usually involved in single window replacements. I pointed to my gym bag at my feet and told him I had plans to meet someone at the gym so I just wanted an estimate for the single window at this time. He told me he had to make a phone call to get permission for that so he walked outside. I heard him talking to someone but then he came inside and said he had to leave a message and we'd wait a few minutes to see if they would call back. In the meantime, did I have any doors that might need replacement. Again, I repeated that it would only be the one window. He entered into some mindless conversation in which he apparently lost himself b/c he let it slip that the wonderful company he had just praised so highly had not paid him his re-imbursements in over four months. I don't know, but if that's how a company treats its employees, I don't want to be a customer. After some time without any phone call, I let him know I had to get going. He said he'd talk to the person to see if they could do the window but if I could do even a few windows... I repeated again that it was only going to be the one window. He said he'd let me know if they could do it and work up an estimate. No measurements were ever taken. I expected I would not hear back and I never did. The entire experience came across as VERY slimy, like a bad used car salesperson, and I will never contact these guys again for any work to my house.

They showed up on time, took out the old windows, put in the new windows, and cleaned up the whole area professionally.

It appears their product is very good; however, the sales process has me rejecting almost anything but free. When the person that came over pulled out the flip chart I knew this wasn't going to be a good experience, but I hung on. Others have come to do estimates...they looked at the window frame, measured and were out of here quickly. This experience lasted longer than an hour. Once I got him to blow through all the unnecessary talk about how good they were, etc., etc. he worked up a quote and then started off with a gimmick about how much I wanted to pay per month -- like I was buying from a bad used car guy. I told him I would pay cash -- estimated to be about $17k. That news changed things -- not the price, but how much I'd have to put down. Looks like they make money from the financing and had no incentive for cash buyers. He continued to work up numbers, called his supervisor from outside, came back in and gave me a quote that was only good for that evening. I had already told him, at the beginning, that I was not going to make an impulse decision that night and was awaiting quotes from other contractors. He seemed shocked that I wouldn't take the one night estimate and then had to revert back to his 30 day estimate which was about $1.5k higher. If you can't stick with your best offer for more than an evening, sorry, I'm not buying from you -- I don't trust you. When it appeared the immediate, impulse buy wasn't happening, he tried to pass of the story that they are a young and new company eager for my business -- but in the beginning flip chart instruction he told me it was important to choose a company that was experienced and would be around a long time. That argument doesn't go over too well in the days of AIG & Lehman, GM & Chrysler -- all purportedly good companies that would be around -- right! The final parting plea was that he was just $400 short of getting a $250 bonus, as if I was going to make my impulse buy to pay for this poor man to buy a loaf of bread. I told him that that wasn't my problem. He then packed up everything into his new looking CUV and left. I hate that sales process. It's not the first time I've gone through it -- the first time I actually almost had to call the police to get them to leave. These guys aren't getting my $17k. I'll go elsewhere where I'm not treated like an idiot. It's clear they don't get that research can be done online and that I'm not a dumb buyer -- I've been researching windows for months and know what I want. When it takes over an hour to provide me an resolution to the conversation and aggressive sales pressure tried to induce the sale, I'm walking away. If you want their windows, don't let them bring anything inside, tell them to measure and get an estimate back to you via email. That scenario won't happen as it's not their model -- so, best thing to do -- call someone else.
