Description of Work: Job was to reset and re point 6 course of brick on chimney. Mason did a great job. Communicated when they would arrive. Work was professionally performed and extremely well cleaned up work area.

It has been an extremely busy year and we are thankful that we were able to get to [member name removed] project despite all the rain delays that we have had this year. We also wish to thank [member name removed] because he referred us to a close neighbor a few doors down with much more extensive chimney damage repairs inside as well as outside the home. We strive for excellence with our masonry work because it is always in full view of the entire neighborhood.

Description of Work: They did a very nice job, however I'm not sure if this is common practice when going through homeowners insurance or not, but once all was said and done they did not give me a price, they just told me everything was theirs when it came to the money received other than the work we did ourselves. Because we used "their flooring guy" but choose less expensive flooring than what was being replaced, we were told that was their money. This just did not seem to be on the "up and up".

It went well.
Description of Work: They painted the family room, kitchen, hallway, and laundry room. They also some minor drywall repair in the garage and fixed some water damage.

Description of Work: The company was very professional but we should not have been made the offer for our area. We purchased the "Big Deal" and they gave us an estimate for more work and then we were told we do not fall in the area for the "Big Deal." It was very frustrating. It was not Carpenter's and Sons fault and they were very professional and nice.

Response from THE CARPENTER'S SONS
This was a BIG DEAL COUPON prepared by Angies list. We specified the cities that the coupon was to be offered to and reviewed it with the Angies List Sales Rep twice. The problem was that the Angie's List Sales Rep listed [member name removed] city in error,which was far outside of our service area. That is why we declined the city twice with the Rep but they failed to remove it. We had several calls from other Angies List customers from invalid cities that we were not familiar with in our area. After working with their rep we became totally frustrated with him and requested that Angie's List remove us from the program. Boiling Springs is in our service area and we inadvertantly missed the the fact that the call from the Merriman's came from their city, Mount Holly Springs. We are partially to blame for not noticing that the city was not in our service area.
