Randy came and gave us an estimate to removed the brick on our chimney, clean it, replace and repoint, and add a new chimney cap. The estimate also included repair of a broken sidewalk. His crew came and worked at our home for 2 days. They were polite, friendly, and the work was very clean. We had a hard rain the evening that they repaired the chimney and when they arrived the next morning some of the mortar had run. They went back up, cleaned the brick and repaired the mortar. They also did some repaired to our concrete steps as a last minute request which I appreciated.

I called Mr. Inch in May after not hearing anything from him and he told me he was down a truck and once that was resolved he would get the work done. I have not heard from him since then and I suspect I'm not going to either. Very disappointed with this experience.
Description of Work: He came to the house in a timely manner and was very nice. After surveying the work to be done he said I would probably only have to pay for the materials since the $145.00 would likely cover the labor.

We feel that it did not go well at all. We have been chasing this man for weeks now and we don't even have an estimate. If this is the service that we get while he is trying to get our business--we certainly don't want anything to do with him. We would certainly like our money back.
Description of Work: We bought the contract on March 31st, 2015. We did receive an email from him on April 3rd with a phone number. We called him but did not get any response from him until we called again on April 20th. He came to look at the work that needed to be done on April 21st. He said he would get us an estimate early the next week. Tomorrow will be two weeks and we have still not heard from him.

It went very well. She is great. He did a little extra work for us. He was a nice man and very reliable. He solved the problem. I did however realize it would cost much more on the extra.

The project progressed very well and the final result was excellent. Randy, his son, Chris, and the rest of the crew went about their business very professionally and knowledgeably. In addition, they were quite personable and engaging during their time. In order to complete the job in a timely manner, they worked during the Memorial Day holiday period. Not only did their work product meet all of our high expectations, but their clean-up of the work area was the best I've experienced from among numerous contractors. We have made arrangements to have Randy perform additional work for us later this year. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others and have, in fact, already done so.
Description of Work: Replaced steps on east and west sides of house. Removed broken, cracked, unsafe concrete steps on both sides of house, constructed forms, poured concrete and smoothed. Laid brick around each step on west side. Removed drain in driveway at top step on east side of home, installed new drain and enclosed drain in concrete.

He completed all of the work very nicely. Everything looks good and he cleaned up after himself really well. He is a very personable young man and was eager to make sure that I was pleased with his work. I would be glad to hire him again if I had more work in his line of business.
Description of Work: Repaired brick foundation at back corner of the house. I thought it just needed repointing but he took it completely apart and put it back together again to make sure it was all secure. He also repaired 3 brick pillars under front porch of house. Some of the bricks were crumbling and he took the pillars apart and rebuilt them.

The project originally appeared as if the pier would have to be torn down and replaced. I knew that matching the grout would be next to impossible and did not want to see different grout colors. Well, they had the solution. They removed the loose bricks, manually chipped and power ground the old grout. away. In addition, they ground ALL the rest of the grouting at lease 1 inch deep. Then they relaid the loose brick and, finally, repointed the remainder of the pier with the identical grout. If i EVER need mason work in the future, I know who to call.
Description of Work: Our home was built in 2003 and included a brick pier for the mail box/newspaper. Last year, cracks began to show in the grouting to the point where the top two tiers of brick were loose and the bricks could be removed. I found Randy based on reviews I read here. I called him, he had a reasonable quote to my within a week. i gave him the OK. Six days later, Randy's son and a helper arrived and got to work. The two of them rebuilt/re-pointed the entire structure. In two days the job was done and the result was that I couldn't tell the pier from the day it was originally built.

The price was amazing for the work he did. What stands out is his honesty and he is a hard worker.
Description of Work: We used Randy Inch Masonry. We had a couple of things done. He did some general house work at my house, but at my daughter’s house, he did all the front facing of the brick on her home because it was all coming apart. Then, he found some other things that were wrong. He fixed the window sills on the outside. There was a leak on the roof because it was a tin roof so he had to put a rubber guard in it and some other things that were rusting on the roof. On my end, he replaced bathroom windows. He did a lot of repair work because the dog chewed some door frames apart so he replaced those. He fixed crooked doors, re-put my front door in again because it was like falling out a little bit. It is like the house shifted and it was like clinging away that everything is crooked and I cannot lock the door. In the bathroom, the water splashed up to the walls and it started getting moldy so he put up a plastic and put it around the back of the tub. That was his suggestion.

Overall, I am very pleased with quality and cost of the work that was completed. Thank you, Randy and Chris! :) Background I reached out to Randy on 9/18/14 (and 6 other chimney contractors around the same time) when my home owners insurance company, State Farm, randomly sent an inspector to my house to assess street repairs (like Monopoly). I was asked to have certified professionals complete a chimney and roof inspection and perform any repairs, as needed. State Farm threatened to drop my insurance if the inspection and any required work was not completed in October 2014. We received an extension to complete the work by February 2015. Randy was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry. He was the only chimney contractor who actually offered to come to my house to provide an estimate in 2014 - (kudos)! Randy agreed to complete the work in December 2014. The other contractors told me that they could not complete the work before February 2015, due to existing workloads. The reason why I rated Randy with a "B" in "Responsiveness" was because we agreed on 11/28/14 that he would stop by to confirm the measurements for the chimney liner on 12/5/14 so he could order the parts and complete the installation in December. When Randy did not arrive as planned, I called him and confirmed that he would stop by sometime during week ending 12/12/14 to take the measurements. After another no-show, I followed up by phone and email on 12/22/14, and received an email response from him on 1/26/15 apologizing for the delay and stating that the weather was not "working for us", which I completely understood due to the snow and sub-freezing temperatures. On 1/29/15, I followed up again via email to ask a few clarifying questions (i.e. the date that he would like to reschedule to complete measurements, the date(s) that he would be able to complete the work, and the final estimate - since I specifically requested to have a 316Ti grade stainless steel liner installed). I requested confirmation by 2/6/15. Otherwise, I would have to find another contractor or request another extension from State Farm. After almost giving up hope, Randy contacted me on 3/7/15 and confirmed that he would take measurements on 3/9/15, order the parts, and complete the installation on 3/16/15 for agreed upon amount in the original estimate. Randy and Chris completed the installation in two days, and even accommodated my request for a decorative course of upright bricks! They encountered some difficulty installing the 6" liner and had to feed it through the bottom of the chimney up to the top, which took more time than they originally expected. This added labor cost was not passed on to me - (another kudos)! The 316Ti grade stainless steel was converted to a 316L grade without my awareness. However, it also has a lifetime guarantee and after a quick search on Google, I am confident that the "L" will work as good as - if not better than the "Ti" in this installation. I found the following explanation between the two grades of steel on www.chim-flex.com " 316L has virtually the same amount of Titanium for high temperature stability as 316Ti but it also includes Molybdenum. This is what gives 316L greater corrosion resistance against low temperatures. Low temperature corrosion is the most common reason why chimney liners fail over time." In summary, Randy and his son have helped me to satisfy a State Farm audit requirement within my expectations and budget. I am grateful for their expertise and would recommend their services to others.
Description of Work: Randy and his son, Chris, installed 35' of 6" (316L "M-Flex") stainless steel chimney liner, re-attached the oil furnace and gas water heater vents to the chimney, and rebuilt the chimney up from the roof line with a new flue and a cap.

My house is about 50 years old and the foundation has been slowly settling causing cracks in stone fireplace and separation of chimney from the house siding. Randy and his guys did an excellent job in repairing the fireplace and chimney. They arrived when promised and completed the job in two days. The results were better than I expected. Would have liked to have had a written estimate, but with the honesty of these guys none was needed. Randy did everything and more than what he verbally promised. Will definitely use these guys again.

Two masons removed old, cracked stucco from the foundation of my house, and dug away the top couple inches of soil so that the stucco could be applied slightly below the soil line. Then, after mixing the stucco, one of the workers spent several hours neatly applying the material. Mr. Inch showed up after a few days to check the work. He decided to send back one of the workers to touch up a few areas to make the repairs a little smoother and neater. This was done within a few days. It now looks so much better. I am very pleased with the job.
Description of Work: Old, cracked stucco was removed from stone foundation and new stucco applied.
