The guy who came over to give me an estimate was very easy to deal with. He looked over the installation problems because earlier someone has told my parents that it is impossible to replace the existing garage door. He brought some brochures with doors that I can choose from and my mom chose one right away. I paid him 600$ upfront and he ordered the door. He did a good job with the installation. I saw good rating about his company and did not get any other quote and he seemed like I can trust him. They took around 3 hours to finish the job and they did a professional and a neat job. He also offered me to save a couple of hundred dollars. As a contractor he has to follow EPA regulations to dispose house materials and to do that he charged me 200$. He gave me the option of disposing the old garage door myself, but I opted not to. I thought that was a good business practice to give me the choice.

What stands out is their promptness and service. He gave me a nice group of garage doors to pick from. He guided me in choosing which one and which style to pick. I thought the price was okay. There were a couple of glitches with it. It was an old garage door opener that broke. So, they came out right away and fixed it. In fact, there was something wrong with the doors in the first day and right away that evening, he came out.

When I called for service, I told them it was not an emergency and could wait a few days. The technician called the next morning (in the middle of a snowstorm) and said he could arrive within 20-30 minutes if that was okay with me. And he did. I had never had the garage doors serviced, so I didn't know what to expect as far as the cost, and I didn't want to be talked into buying new doors or new motors if we didn't need them. He had both doors fixed promptly, and explained to me what he did. I paid the very reasonable bill. Then I mentioned that I chose them from Angie's List. He said he wished I had told him that sooner so that he could give me the discount. When I asked about getting the keypad fixed (it hadn't been working properly, but I didn't remember that until he was finished, so I figured I'd have them come out again), he went to his truck and gave me a new one that he had saved from a recent job. He didn't charge me for it, told me to consider it my Angie's List discount.

I had called to schedule an appointment for first thing Monday morning during the previous week for garage door repair. The customer service rep, Peggy, was extremely friendly and accommodating and patient in working with my schedule. We fortunately were able to get the garage door working ourselves, but unfortunately my husband made the repair himself 15 minutes before the service rep was due to arrive (he had worked all weekend and has a grueling weekday schedule which leaves little time for repairs). I left messages on the company voice mail stating we no longer needed the rep but would be happy to pay for any travel fees incurred. Peggy called me back promptly at opening time and let me know that she contacted the service rep and everything was "fine". I will definitely use them in the future and appreciate their understanding and willingness to work with us.

The repairman is very nice. We need new garage doors and we are going to go with them for those. It was a friendly service. It doesn’t take them long to get here. Have also been to their company to get additional remote control and they were very nice. So I have experienced their shop and their repair people coming out and they were both were very good. I can’t tell you about price because I never went to anybody else. I like that they are local owner owned company. So it doesn’t matter even if they cost five dollars more.

Brian the service guy was very nice and professional. I called to have my Over Head door opener fixed. We talked and he explained what he could do to make a happy customer. I made a joke and said "well what are you waiting". Brian did a wonderful job. Explained in detail the warranty and how it works, I was very happy with the way he explained everything. He treated me like a human, and did not treat me like he was talking to a dumb woman. I told him when I wanted my other door opener replaced, I knew who to contact. Baker Doors is the folks for me, and I have your number. I would be please to recommend you.

My garage door broke suddenly when I returned home at 2:45pm. There were two technicians that came right out to fix my door and they were finished by 4:30pm. They were very knowledgeable and courteous.

Brian, the service man, was the perfect balance of being friendly with being very professional. He was very knowledgeable about garage doors and how they operate and are maintained. He was able to answer all my questions and provide advice. When it is time for a new garage door, I will definitely call The Baker Door Co.

A very friendly Todd came out to inspect the problem and then I made an appointment to get it fixed. I was able to get one on the only day I was available. Jim M (last initial because there are 2 Jims) said he would call before he came, and did just that. He arrived soon after and got right to work. I wish he could have gotten out all of the dent, but this was not possible. He asked for a piece of Styrofoam to put behind the dent so that it will possibly work itself out better. I gave him a thick piece of cardboard which he applied behind the dent. He then nailed the molding to the frame where it was coming off. Then he lubricated all the mechanisms of the garage door opener so that the door would open and close more easily and quieter. I wasn't charged for this. It was a nice extra. He was very friendly and professional. All in all a great service call I called Baker Door not only for its high rating on Angie's List, but because the company advertises in our church bulletin.

josh showed up on time. He took down the broken garaged door and replaced it with a new door. The job was professionally done. He did an excellent job.

Brian from Baker Door is a great technician. My door would not open on the night of April 20. I made an online service request for repair and he was here first thing in the morning of April 21 before going to his other costumers. I am very satisfied with the work he did and will definitely call for him at the door company again. He even reminded me to print out their coupon on Angie's list!! A very nice and courteous young man!

Brian was great- arrived promptly and assessed the problem correctly. This old door has seen a lot of use but and we are not ready to replace it yet. Brian was able to fix it for us for a reasonable fee. He also provided some tips on how to handle the door- especially during excessively cold or hot weather (adjust the springs). I would use this company again.

Last night arrived at my garage door and it would not open. It was an old Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener installed almost 20 years ago. The plastic gears inside had ground down and would no longer drive the chain. I considered repairing it myself but it is freaking cold and I'm getting freaking old. And getting a repair kit would have cost about $25-40 and a few days for it to arrive or find one locally. So I checked Angies List (where else), and selected Baker's Garage Door Company which had over 30 excellent reviews and I know has been in the area for as long as we have lived here. I called them at 8:05am, the lady who answered said someone would be out between noon and 3pm. I got a call at about 2pm that a technician would be available in about 20 minutes. I said, "great. I'll meet him at my home." I also got a call from the installer about ten minutes later asking if I could meet at my house in about 10-15 minutes. I said, I was already there. A very friendly installer arrived. We discussed the symptoms of my broken garage door opener and he confirmed that the gears were likely shot. He could have repaired it but I figured it was time to replace the almost 20 year old item. So we discussed what he had on the truck. I decided I wanted a rubber belt drive opener for the quieter sound. In a little over an hour, he was finished removing my broken opener with the new LiftMaster garage door opener. He installed everything neatly and cleaned up after himself. He also made sure my wireless outdoor remote control was programmed to work with the garage door opener. For those who do not know, Chamberlain makes the Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Craftsman garage door openers. All the same machines with different labels and paint. I believe Liftmaster is restricted to commercial installers while the other two are primarily sold to the do-it-yourselfer. I checked on the internet while the opener was being installed and the cost of the unit and installation for Baker was almost identical to many commercial installers across the country. You can buy the identical Chamberlain or Craftsman model for about $225-250. So install is about $150-175. Well worth it for me to have the door working fine, tuned up, and I didn't have to spend a couple hours in 20 degree weather installing a garage door opener. Baker Door Company gets my highest recommendation.

My wife accidentally backed our car into our garage door as it was moving up, put a dent in the bottom panel and knocked the wheel off the track. I called Baker Door Company and they sent someone out in less than 90 minutes, the guy went ahead and repaired the door and since it only took him a few minutes he didn't charge us. This guy just repaired our door for free!!! No trip charge, no nothing, fixed the door and said have a nice day.

They have come out 2 to 3 times. They respond in a timely manner and are very professional. The price point is very good.

Estimate: Todd W was punctual, professional, and gave me all my options without being pushy. Installation: done as promised. There was a small defect in one component and they pointed it out. The product was as promised and the install was done well. I am actually not living there at the moment and I needed to do everything with them from abroad. They managed that with no problem: so all communication and billing was done electronically. They also sent multiple before and after photos of the work. They kept me informed each step of the way. And it was corroborated by a family member who verified everything on-site.

The technicians arrived about ten minutes after the promised window, but completed their work in a half an hour. The door works as good as new.

Received estimate after deciding on doors we liked. Satisfied with estimate and date for installation. Installer came and installed doors when scheduled and within time forecasted. Very professional and most important my wife loves the doors. Bill was exactly as estimated with no add-ons or extra charges. I would recommend Baker Door to anybody looking for good prices, quality products and excellent servicemen.

It went very well. I had someone come to give me the estimate and take measurements within one day of calling. Within a few days I had an estimate and a time estimate of when the work would begin. Day of install was smooth and professional. The removed old door, installed new, and cleaned up after. I was contacted after that to make sure all went well. They even took and sent me pictures before and after (which I had previously agreed to). I would recommend them and use them again.
