Everything went well. They checked the roof shingles and did some caulking. They went over a paper of what they checked and graded what they looked at. I also had them check the gutters and clean them at an additional charge which I thought was reasonable. I also had them check a sunroom window which I wanted drywalled over and tape/mud on wall. Liam called within an hr with estimate which I thought was good and did the work the following week.

They arrived as promised and did a the work quickly and efficiently. A great deal

Kevin and T.J. Did the work . Both Ramie(office manager ) and Kevin called to say they would be late? Really appreciated that. Both young men were hardworking 2cprofessional and courteous. Worked straight through. They had to jackhammer the 2 old steps and then do the concrete. Made the steps a little wider and not as steep. I am so pleased with their work and clean up. They were truly wonderful to deal with.

Guys showed up, got up on the roof, walked the roof, cleaned everything out, cleaned out the down spouts that were plugged up and pointed out some wear in my roof which I knew about and am getting quotes now on a metal roof. They were very professional and great to work with.

The installation of the gutters, gutter guards and repairs were performed to great satisfaction. There was an issue with the communication of the work to be performed (No gutter guards were installed on the first visit for installation) but I take partial responsibility for that since I did not review the estimate thoroughly to make sure that the service I expected was listed within the estimate. But we were able to workout the situation with no issue. Next, there was a subsequent scheduling issue with the installation of the gutter guards. But that was quickly resolved once Thomas and I spoke upon return from my vacation. Overall, I am satisfied with the work that was performed and the professionalism of Thomas and his crew.

Given the large amount of rain lately, we had a difficult time scheduling the gutter repair service, as gutter sealing requires dry material to work on. However, we worked together and found a mutually acceptable day and time. The Minnick staff was VERY cooperative and professional at all times ...from the office staff (Ramie), to the job supervisor (TJ).....and the workers as well. They did a few extra things, beyond the required scope, and cleaned up very well. They answered all my questions regarding the material used and process performed. They performed all work contracted for, and met all my expectations in terms of price estimate and schedule. They went out of their way to contact me. That was in itself a new and refreshing experience...... to have a contractor return calls, send emails, provide a detailed estimate of scope and price ..... and even call me while on route!!! I would highly recommend Minnick Home Solutions.

I bought a big deal for these service and it did not go well. Some things were done quite nicely and other things were not. Their responsiveness was terrible. They said when they were going to come. The gentleman who worked in my home was fine. It was the owner and the person who did the billing and the estimate was tough to talk to. He was very hard to get to, his cell phone was always full of messages and he never listened. So it was pretty much by email that we had to discuss things. It was never in person. They could have been more timely because it took forever for them to get back to me to arrange to do the work after I had agreed to accept their estimate. I understand that the person I talked to had some health issues with a family member and I totally understand that. I thought I was more than accommodating in that situation. He did not do the work himself, he issued others to do the work. When it came to choosing product to put into my home there always seemed to be an issue; I always had to choose something else because he would only get things that were on the shelf. He would never order them for me. In February I gave him a list of everything I wanted and how I wanted the color and everything. I told him this is what I would like. This would have given him plenty of time to order it because he said he was not going to be doing anything until end of March, beginning of April. That would have given him six to eight weeks to order anything. Apparently he never did, because when it came time to starting he said he could not get things. He said he went to the store and it was not there. Then he told me if I wanted these things he would have to order them and it would take six weeks and would really bump the job. So then I had to change my choices and try to find things that were on line. Sometimes I would find things for him and tell him the store to go to buy certain items.

I received excellent customer service and quality work from Minnick Home Solutions, including Tom Minnick, his office staff and the entire work crew. All communications with the Minnick organization were timely, thorough, courteous, productive and demonstrated clear expertise and experience in home repair and maintenance solutions as well as in customer relations. The repair and maintenance work Minnick did on my roof and garage were of top quality and were estimated, troubleshot and conducted in a timely, efficient and thorough manner. My property looked fantastic. The repairs were well done and the crew cleaned everything up so it was spotless and like new. I will gladly refer Minnick Home Solutions to everyone I know who would need roof or home repair or remodeling. They were WONDERFUL.

t Job took approx 2 weeks. Started with the demo of existing shower stall and floor. The installer (Bob) was meticulous concerning all details of the install and the finished job. Tom Minnick is easy to deal with and talk to about any of the concerns I had. I recommend the service highly.

We called on Wednesday and they were able to make it out by Saturday. They called 2 times to talk about the project and then sent the guy out here. They will be coming out again to do some flashing.

They were very punctual in their response and did good work. Were very easy to work with. Were very repectful and did a good job of letting me know what they were doing and why.

Mr. Minnick was very prompt in contacting me and very professional in his estimate. Although I chose not to use his services at this time I would definitely consider him for future projects.

For various reasons, we decided not to move forward at that time with repairs.

Tom and I met in mid-August & estimate for roof repair, shingle repair, deck replacement, and after being favorably impressed by both Tom?s attitude and the estimate, I signed a contract on August 28 to begin the project in mid-October. At that time, Tom told me that he?d like to get his guys up to do the roof repair ASAP, since there was a leak causing interior damage. On October 16, I emailed to check on an ETA for the project start, having heard nothing for six weeks, and was told that due to weather, the project would likely start the first week of November. I replied that that was fine, but that I was concerned about the roof leak, since we?d discussed getting that part of the project done first. I heard nothing until the first week of November, when I emailed on November 4 to ask about a start date. At that time, I was told, there were three projects ahead of me, and while the crew wasn?t sure exactly when they could start, because of the weather, they?d let me know by November 6 how things were looking. On November 11, I emailed again, having not heard anything, and after receiving no response, I checked in again on November 16. A couple of days later, I received a response asking for a good time and number to reach me to schedule the roof repair part of the project. I replied with my work and cell numbers, and got a call that there was still no definite info about when the project could be started, but that someone would be in touch before Thanksgiving to get things firmed up. On December 12, after no follow up from the company, and nearly two months after the project was originally supposed to be completed, I emailed again to find out the status of the project. On December 17, two workers came to the house and went up on the roof, but reported that they couldn?t do much more than nail a couple of places down, because the shingles were in such bad shape that the roof had to be replaced. I emailed Minnick to ask what the options were, concerned about more damage occurring, but again met silence which lasted until January 6. Finally, things were scheduled to begin on January 14, but because the previous owners had installed the current deck without a permit, we needed to clear that up, which the Minnick folks were very helpful with. Construction on the new deck finally started on January 20. On February 13, most of the deck was finished. Given the issues I?d had already, I had bid out the roof replacement to another company. There was still some trim work to be done on the deck, included in the original estimate, so I asked about that and about the siding. Almost a month later, on March 11, I followed up because I?d not heard anything. On March 16, the basic siding repair was done, and some of the trim work, which turned out to be more extensive than the crew has estimated originally. (Like the building permit issue, not their fault.) I had a few questions about payment, cleanup and the final punch list, which I emailed, but had no reply until March 30, when Tom emailed me to say he?d be in touch soon to discuss my questions. I heard nothing further until May 2. By May 11, more than six months after the project was originally supposed to be completed, it was done. Weather is totally beyond the control of any construction team, though I do think that scheduling a project to begin mid-October and then not beginning until mid-January is a little unusual. Communication, though, is completely within a company?s control, and that was the most frustrating aspect of this experience. Delays and unanticipated events happen, but keeping customers informed and being a little proactive, responding to questions and concerns in a timely way, following through and calling when you say you will, go a long way toward alleviating the stress and bad feelings that can result when a project drags on longer than planned. The experience was especially disappointing because ? based on the great reviews here and on our initial meeting and the professionalism at the start of this process - I had really hoped to be able to rely on Minnick Home for a number of other projects.

We fired Minnick Home Solutions because of their unreliability and incompetence. It has been almost two months since I purchased Angie?s Big Deal. It was rather simple job of installing less than 40 sq. ft. of white ceramic tile on our bathroom floor. Even though we were patient, flexible and responsive Mr. Minnick was not able to do the job. It is hard to understand why he acted so. Perhaps he is not sure what he wants to do in life, or maybe he is not sure if he can do the job properly. Whatever was the reason for his notorious tardiness and unreliability he lost our trust and we fired him. The below timeline will show you his peculiar pattern of delays, unreliability and complete lack of workmanlike behavior. 21 January ? We purchased Angie?s Big Deal and followed up the same day as required. 9 February ? Mr. Minnick finally responded: Hello and good morning sir. My apologies on not contacting you sooner. It was a mix up on my part. When is a good time to get together to discuss the project? I am available most of this week so let me know a time and we?ll get meet up. Thanks. Thomas A Minnick Jr. 12 February ? Mr. Minnick pays us a visit. He seems cheerful and confident. However, next time we hear from him again its 10 days later (February 27): Hello sir, I hope all is well. I wanted to touch base to let you know I haven?t forgotten about you. I will be sending over a formal estimate reflecting the package you paid for as well as the additional costs for the extra square footage (required as waste unfortunately) and the additional cost for the tile cost (allowance is $2.00/sf and tile is $2.35/sf). Thanks for your patience. 2 March ? We finally received his additional estimate and accepted it the same day. We asked to see the white tile as there are different shades of white. He seemed to have no problem with it and promised to stop by and show us the tile on Thursday, March 5. 5 March ? the last time we heard from him. He said that he couldn't come because the roads are bad. I offered alternative times but he never replied. 12 March ? Mr. Minnick resurfaced again: Hello sir. This process is not going very well for either of us? It?s hard to believe, but Angie continues to offer Minnick?s Big Deal. Flaky man and frankly, flaky Angie?s List. We will not be renewing our membership.

They did a beautiful job, the quality of the work was excellent. They were conscious of the fact that this was my only bathroom and tried to complete the job quickly but once they got started we discovered that I had some major plumbing issues that had to be addressed before they could continue. I was very pleased that once I got my plumbing issues straightened out, they came right back and finished the job.

It took a month to connect with them to schedule the service. When they did show up they weren't prepared to do the job and did not do a good job.

This was fantastic! They came on time and did their job. Some shingles were missing and they replaced the shingles with no hassle. I would work with them any day!

it was a great experience to say the least. This was a small job b/c 1/2 of our roof was new due to the previous owners adding an addtion and not replacing the rest of the roof that was 30+ years old. Out of the large list of contractors I contacted Minnick Home sultions was the only company to A) not talk down to me b/c i am a woman...he was extremely professional and respectful and not rude at all! B) very professinal with his contracts and estimates C) and no project was too small for his team. His team was prompt, friendly, and cleaned up everything like he promised. They did a great job and i will DEFINETLY use his company in the future for other home projects! I highly reocmmend him and his team to handle your construction needs.

Tom was very professional and easy to work with. It took a while to schedule him (not his fault...I had to get the bathroom ready) but he was patient and even helped give me advice on a number of things I was doing myself. The job was completed over a period of 3 days. My tmain issues with the job are (1) they cut the tile in the bathroom leaving chips of tile in my new porcelain tub, which I worry could now be scratched, (2) since the tile cutting was done in the bathroom and not outside there was a lot of dust on the walls (3) there was thinset on the walls as well where they had leaned the backerboard up against. Because of the dust and thinset, I decided to repaint everything (4) the grouting could have been cleaner, there are a number of areas i will have to clean up. Overall everything went fine, I am very detail oriented about things (grout) but I had wished they cut the tile outside.
