Family owned and operated since 1907. We repair, re-glue, re-finish, touch-up and re-upholster all furniture. Complete antique restoration process. We are your one stop furniture repair shop. Our workmanship is completed correctly the first time and as if it was going to be placed in our own home. We take pride in our work and guarantee our workmanship. Description of Work: Bought the $49 deal to get an estimate. Estimate was EXTREMELY high. I understand that quality work costs more but nearly $1000 to refinish 2 tables was more than we were willing to pay.

Description of Work: My couch and Love seat were picked up to be reupholstered in November. I was assured they would be done beginning of January. I had to call in Feb. They weren't even started! When I finally received them, they looked good. However, weeks later RIPS & TEARS appeared! I took the cushions back and was "scolded" for bringing in the ripped cushions. POOR customer service & POOR quality!

Description of Work: Very prompt and professional. Did a fantastic job on a family antique from the 1840's. Looks amazing. Price was more than I really wanted to pay but pick up and delivery of the item was included which saved time and hassle for us. Once they explained what needed to be done to restore and fix the piece the cost seemed more reasonable. Grimes has more pieces from us they are restoring.

Description of Work: Repaired and restored antiques: large secretary, sewing cabinet, brass lamps, dressing table mirror, wood ladies chairs. They are not cheap(!) but they did an excellent job with some tough repairs to old items. Punctual. Picked up and dropped off. Courteous. I'm using them with other pieces and highly recommend for old furniture that needs to be fixed consistent with how the pieces were originally constructed.

Description of Work: I bought a beautiful file cabinet from Dwayne. It was refinished so nicely, and he even cleaned it for me before he delivered it. I love how my purchase looks in my office. He is the best at what he does! I looked other places for a file cabinet that was all wood, and I could not find anything anywhere. Thanks goodness for Grimes and Dwayne!

Description of Work: Grimes came to our home and gave us estimates on three pieces needing repair, two recliners and an antique oak cabinet. We are doing one piece at a time and the first recliner, a Morris style, has been completed. The work appears to be of high quality and we are very satisfied. It took about five weeks to complete the repair, which was a bit inconvenient, but worth it to have a chair we love back in perfect order. We are in the process of having the second recliner repaired and have been without the chair for about two weeks. Given they pick up and deliver, for us it is worth the wait.
