Steve's Painting

Description of Work: I responded to an Angie's List Special to paint an entire room - walls, ceiling, doors, prep work and trim. I contacted him right away and over the many months since the offer. I know he was having serious personal concerns so the task kept getting put off. The special ran on 4/25/2012 and as of today 11/29/2012 the work has not been started.

Description of Work: Had wallpaper removed in master bedroom and master bath and had him paint master bedroom, master bath, family room. He and his other guy did a good job taking down wallpaper and he was very punctual and accomodated our tight time frame to get the work done. The painting quality was kind of average and I have had to go back and do touch up/clean up in many areas. But he was priced pretty well and he helped me get some of the painting done that I would not have been able to get to before we moved in the the house. He is a nice guy as well.

Description of Work: I still haven't been able to get this done. I scheduled the job for June and he never showed or called. I left several phone messages as well as emails. He posted on Angie's List that his wife was very sick. I asked that he contact me as soon as he was able to work and I am still waiting. I understand how time consuming and emotional a sick loved one can be, but refund my money if you are unable to provide services or if you plan to provide service then at least take a min to reach out.

Description of Work: The work was never done. Last week (7/9), an important must attend meeting at work was re-scheduled for the day the painter was to come. Fortunately, I thought, time enough for me to change the dates. I sent an email and gave him several other dates. I never received a response, even after two more high priority email messages. I am canceling the work request and asking for a refund of my money.

Description of Work: Steve never showed up to paint. I phoned him many times with no answer. As of today, 5 days later, I have still not heard from him. I am not sure what happened but for someone who runs their own business, not to be in communication of any kind with their customers is totally unacceptable.

Description of Work: Steve was a very pleasant man.Showed up on time and emptied my closet for me, I am 75 yrs. old,and laid my belongs neatly on the bed. Cleaned the floor which had not been done for a long while.Painted and patched up my walls and then cleaned up after himself. The job was very professional and Steve was very respectful . I would tell all who need any painting done to call Steve and you will be very happy with his work. Mrs. Kathleen Drake P.S. It was a very large closet with mirrored doors and not a spot of paint anywhere.
