Canceled Big Deal. Could not complete work.

We weren't able to use the deal because we couldn't get the guy to come out to do it.

He did perform any work. There was little communication. I got an email from him about 2 weeks after I purchased the Big Deal. He communicated that he was "busy right now" and that was it.

I never contacted the service provider to get the work done.

We couldn't get together on timing. For many different reason we just couldn't figure out a time that would work.

Didn't end up using the deal due to scheduling issues....to no fault of the vendor. It was scheduling on my part.

the provider did not respond to my phone calls or emails despite Angie's List intervention.

He made and cancelled several appointments and would call in the morning and say, "can I come today?" when he knew both parties worked and needed notice to be home. He was very nice but could never set up a time to come. We cancelled the job and got another painter but I am not sure I was reimbursed.

They were unresponsive after several attempts to schedule the work. When it came to the refund everything went smoothly.

He was very good, I have no complaints. I told him what the problems were, he was able to finish the work in a timely manner. Very nice, not very talkative but he seemed like he was more into doing a great job and finishing the work.

Not the most efficient use of time (a lot of chatting) but otherwise OK.

I scheduled an appointment with him but he never showed. He just disappeared.

I did not use this service and I received a refund on the deal.

He never responded to calls or emails, so there was no start and no finish.

Difficult to schedule and then he didn't show. I think that in general the Angie's List deals don't work out because the company's don't realize what they in for - too many orders all at once with locations in a hundred mile radius. Small businesses can't seem to make it work. Shame on Angie's List for not having a better vetting process!

Steve and I exchanged emails mid June when I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon. I have not heard back from Steve since I sent two emails in November asking to schedule time for the wallpaper removal service. I am hoping he'll reply soon so we can schedule the work. Thank you.

I was very excited to see this deal of a painter for a day. I immediately tried to schedule an appointment. After several e-mails asking to schedule one, I tried calling. The voicemail said he was too busy and to email. I continued to try to email. Then I contacted Angie's list and they also tried to schedule an appointment. He simply would not set one. Angie's list refunded my money, which was great.

It was fine. The man was very personable. I had no problems and they did a good job.

While I am sympathetic to the owners situation, he needed to have someone inform customers that he was unable to provide services so they don't wait around three months like I did.

Sought a refund and got one.

I was patient. I emailed in May and asked to get on his schedule for late summer. He assured me that he would contact me in June to schedule for July. No communication. I checked Angie's List and saw that he posted about his wife being sick and he was behind. So I waited. I called and emailed again in August and then again in October. No response. I then called Angie's List to request a refund. I have not received a refund or further communication from Angie's List. Angie's List weighs reviews about services performed more than if no services were performed. Therefore, THIS PROVIDER'S RATINGS ARE MISLEADING! Many customers have complained that he does not respond and does not schedule work that has been PAID IN ADVANCE! That is criminal and it seems that nothing substantive is being done to redress this fraud. If a vendor cannot do business due to unexpected illness or any other legitimate reason, it's understandable that things may be chaotic at first, but after all this time money should be refunded, and he should STOP taking customers if he cannot perform the work.

I never ended up having the work done because of scheduling issues. Steve had an ill family member and therefore we were unable to make an appointment. I left C's for the grade because a lack of response, but I do understand that it was a family illness.

I left several messages to schedule the work to be done. The frustrating part was this was a good deal, but I think he over extended himself.

Didn't go anywhere. He never called me to reschedule.
