Poorly at best!

Steve did a real nice job. He did some patch work and then ceilings first with some walls started in a two day period. The next two day period he finished the walls and the two bathrooms. The end result is that our entire upstairs looks beautiful. All the breaks are straight and contrastingly crisp. It was a job well done

Very impressed with the quality of work. Steve was punctual and very quick to respond to via email. He also provided tips on how to maintain my newly painted walls

Steve did a thorough job and was very neat and clean. I haven't really had a painter before so I don't have a lot to compare his price to but it seemed very reasonable. It took him a little longer than he originally thought to paint but I attribute that to the quirky rooms that we had him do.

My wife and I were excited to hire someone who was highly rated on Angie's List. I tried contacting him before the purchase of his Big Deal and I received no response. We decided to proceed and make the purchase anyway knowing how his Angie's List description and website at the time said he was booked until the end of the month (two weeks away). After purchasing, we kept reaching out to him via email, trying to ask him about his schedule and how to best make use of his time, etc.,. His responses very erratic. We understood that he was busy (which he made very clear over and over again, to the point where it was at times, the only response to our questions), but it seemed that while he was interested in honoring the deal, he was greatly regretting making the Big Deal offer available. Rather than waste his time trying to accommodate his unavailability to correspond, we bluntly asked him to just put us on his schedule and we would discuss details later; that itself was difficult. Oddly, without scheduling us, he tried to encourage us to purchase another deal that he said he about to offer, yet when asked about, he would not detail. After contacting Angie's List (who reached out to him for us) he again commented on his work load and that he might not be able to squeeze us in until a month or more later, which was neither a scheduled appointment, nor a commitment, just a possibility. At that point my wife and I decided to cancel the Big Deal, and Angie's List was great about refunding our money back. [above revised from an earlier Angie's List phone dictated review/summation]

I called three times this morning. The first time I called the other line picked but no one said anything so I hung up. I called right back, he picked up and just heard mumbling. So I called right back the third time. He finally answered. It sounded like I woke him up. I asked if this was Steve. and He just said "yea speaking." I identified myself and said it took me three times to get you on the phone. He said "I don't know who I'm talking to; I'm working." I then said nevermind and got off the phone.

came out and did an estimate. He was very responsive and prompt for his appointment. I would recommend him to others who need need painting done.

Overall, we couldn't have been happier with Steve. He is a trustworthy and honest man who performs top quality work for a great price. He was incredibly helpful in answering any and all questions and we will definitely be using Steve for all the remaining painting in our newly purchased home. We have already recommended him to our friends and family!

His work was timely, neat and well done. He painted an additional door because it was marked up and it bothered him but was not in the work plan. I thought he did a great job. The rate was higher than I would have liked but I was very satisfied with the work. I will use him again.

Steve was very responsive when I called to schedule the appointment and he arrived at the agreed upon time. I showed Steve the work I needed done, he asked a few questions as to my preferences for trim, etc. He got to work right away with a pleasant demeanor and eagerness to begin. Steve works quickly and thoroughly with professional skill and knowledge to get the job done right the first time. He made no mess at all and cleaned up everything before he left. In fact, I did not find one single drop of spilled paint or over-spray from the paint roller anywhere after he left! I will use Steve's painting service again in the future and highly recommend him for any paint job. He is a professional in every sense of the word.

After calling Steve to give us a bid for some painting he returned the call that day. My wife scheduled a time for him to come out the next day. Steve was very friendly and professional. We walked him through the house showing him what we needed. That night he e-mailed us a detailed quote. We were pleased with the quote and asked him when he could start. We got the bid on a Saturday and he started the job the next Wednesday. Steve completed the job in three days as quoted. Steve is a perfectionist and we are pleased with all the work that he performed. Steve cleaned up every day and no mess was left behind. We would highly recommend Steve to anyone who has painting needs.

Steve is extremely easy to work with. He calls back. He shows up on time. He does what he says he will. He cleans up afterwards. I hired him through a "Big Deal" and was skeptical. I had been burned by a bunch of these before. Steve showed up and was a breath of fresh air. He tackled a tough job and did it happily and accurately. Any problems I had, he fixed with a smile. I ended up hiring him for additional rooms and was very pleased.

We found Steve via Angie's List and this was the first time we met and used him. He did not disappoint. We were optimistic that we were picking the right painter because of his reports on Angie's List (all A?s) along with his 25+ years experience painting, especially with having worked at reputable paint companies like Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. It was an added bonus to find out that he taught painting workshops and worked with an interior designer, too. His knowledge of using the right colors easily surpasses your typical painter/paint shop. He helped us find the right color for our upstairs and downstairs hallways that was challenging because of many different factors like lighting, different wood tones and a multi-colored slate floor. Steve is eager to work, shows up on time, and wants you to be pleased with the final product. He's also respectful of your property and uses drop cloths to cover the entire area. Our ceilings look great, and if it weren't for him suggesting to paint the high stair wall, we would have been stuck scratching our heads at some point soon trying to figure out how we'd be able to do that wall ourselves because of the height and not having a scaffold or stairs ladder. Steve is very personable and was super sweet with our dog, too. That was a nice plus. We would hire Steve again and recommend him to family and friends.

we found StevMe through one of Angies big deals. Every big deal we sign up for has been a high quality high value proposition. Steve's work was no exception. On time, quietly confident and an obvious stickler for professional detail. Everyone thinks they can paint until you see true professional work. The job is perfect, including 2 coats on the walls, trim and ceiling. Steve left before we got home but left a 2 page detailed note of his work, along with suggestions about a possible roof leak we did not know about. This painter should be in demand 7 days a week if he chose to do so. We hope to have Steve work his way through the house as budgets allow and we encourage anyone else who has one room or a whole house to do business with Steve's Painting!

Steve is a painter. I say that because a lot of people that show up to do paint aren't truly painters, they are workmen that paint. Steve knows his colors, mixes, and has lots of (and is willing to share) valuable tips from his experience that helps things look better and go more smoothly. The quality of his work is very good. When complete, everything looks as it should, nice and professional. He has a great attitude, willing to do minor adjustments mid-job without complaint. When we gave him the wrong color once, or asked him to do a new area that he had already moved on from, he was happy to do it and pleasant in response to the change. Not all painters (or workmen in general) are like that. He is very clean with hardly a single drop of misplaced paint. He takes down trim and goes out of his way to try and put the room back to its pre-painting condition when he's done. He asks the right questions so things do not have to be done twice and there are no miscommunications. Steve calls when he says he'll call, shows up when he says he'll show up, and is done when he says he'll be done. I probably don't have to tell you how rare those traits are these days! Overall, an "A" experience and we look forward to working with Steve again.
