No evidence they did anything but leave little signs that said "Water this Lawn." Never saw a serviceman. Never saw evidence of treatment. Complained by phone. A representative came yesterday and said our problem is we started too late (May) and we have too many shade trees (we did in May too). Why didn't we see servicemen working? "It only takes 10 minutes. You just missed him." They now want $79 for the last treatment. I don't want to pay.

They have been coming here for a while, they have a lot of extra services that they push really hard and they are a pain sometimes. But now looking back they worked very well, they sometimes seem to look for more money.

It was the classic bait and switch. They sent out a coupon for $39 a month, which I accepted, because their flyer looked very professional, however, they did shoddy work. They would come over and throw some pellets down and leave after 10 minutes. My lawn suffered tremendously, and weeds grew out of control. I had to stop working with them and paid triple to someone else to get it fixed. If you use them, just realize that they do things in bulk, and that's how they make money, knowing that you will use the coupon, and eventually fire them. I even told the owner I was willing to pay double for better service, but it never happened. This solidifies my suspicion that they are doing business in bulk. They also claimed I owed them $41, which I clearly paid. They hounded me day and night with unwanted calls. If they put that much time into providing service, they wouldn't have received this bad review from me.

As this company franchises out to individual businessmen to use the name and represent them, I had called the main number at first to get someone close to where we lived. They sent out people from Phoenixville to do my lawn. They did a good job on the front part, but for some reason the back yard looked like it became a desert. I had asked them why this was and they gave some poor excuse of the water difference or something. They followed up poorly, in fact only after I canceled the account, and even though they promised a free lawn fertilization visit, the back yard still looked lousy.

They have done six applications (one that we didn't ask for). They billed us for the unasked for application. They make it difficult to cancel their service. Even thought they agreed to drop the last billing the charge is still on our credit card. They have not returned calls as they have stated. The manager at the local office in Malvern was upset that I called the national office. It took a month for someone to come out and look at the burn spots and when they come out the lawn had gone to seed and was much smaller. The manager didn't bother to take pictures and said that that kind of lawn is acceptable to the United States.

THEY ARE NOT REALLY PUSHY, AND THEY RESOLVE ANY COMPLAINTS RAPIDLY. I HAVE A LOT OF LAND AND I AM USUALLY NOT HOME WHEN THEY COME OUT TO DO THE WORK. I WAS HOME ONE TIME, AND I WATCHED THE GENTLEMAN FERTERLIZE THE GROUND. I THOUGHT THAT HE MAY HAVE MISSED SOME SPOTS. I CALLED CHEMLAWN AND THEY IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED, SENT OUT A SUPERVISOR, WENT OVER IT AGAIN, AND THEY RE-DID THE SPRAY JOB. THEY SEEM TO BE VERY RESPONSIVE. THEY HAVE A DESIRE TO DO A GOOD JOB.

LAST SUMMER MY LAWN WAS OVERRUN WITH STILT GRASS BECAUSE OF ALL THE RAIN WE RECEIVED. I ASKED SCOTTS LAWN SERVICE IF THEY COULD TREAT FOR IT BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A HERBICIDE THAT WILL KILL IT WITHOUT KILLING THE SURROUNDING GRASS. THE BEST OPTION WAS TO THICKEN UP MY LAWN THROUGH CORE AERATION AND OVER SEEDING SO IT WOULD ''SMOTHER'' OUT THE STILT GRASS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE SEED WOULD BE APPLIED SO THICKLY THAT THE HOLES LEFT BY THE CORE AERATION WOULD BE HALF FILLED. AFTER THE SERVICE WAS PERFORMED I CHECKED AND THE SEED WAS HARD TO EVEN FIND. I REPORTED THIS AND SCOTTS REAPPLIED SEED. IT STILL WAS HARDLY A ''CARPET OF SEED'' AS WAS DESCRIBED BUT I GUESSED IT WAS OKAY. I BOUGHT SPRINKLERS AND TRIED TO KEEP IT WELL WATERED. UNFORTUNATELY, I DID NOT SEE A LOT OF NEW GRASS TAKE ROOT. NOW IT IS THE FOLLOWING SPRING AND WHILE MY LAWN IS DEFINITELY LOOKING BETTER. THE JURY IS OUT ON WHETHER THIS SERVICE WAS WORTH THE MONEY OR WHETHER IT WILL SOLVE THE STILT GRASS PROBL

THEY WERE ON TIME AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS. THEY RETURNED FOR TREATMENT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

THE LAWN GREATLY BENEFITTED FROM ALL OF THE TREATMENTS. THEY EVEN LISTENED TO OUR DEMAND NOT TO TREAT ONE BUSH THAT HAD A BIRDS NEST IN IT.

THEY TOLD US WE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS AND THE TREATMENTS WOULD FIX THEM. HOWEVER, AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS, I SAW NO CHANGE IN MY LAWN. I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM, AND THEY DID ONE FREE APPLICATION. MY LAWN STILL DIDN'T CHANGE. THEREFORE, WE CANCELED ANY FURTHER TREATMENTS.

NOT MUCH TO SAY. THEY HAVE REALLY HELPED MY YARD OUT. ALWAYS COME OUT WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL.
