I was happy with the process and the work. My technician, Nate was prompt. He took measurements and went to Home Depot. He discovered that my size would have to be ordered. I paid for an hour of his time. I did call after two weeks to check on the progress. It turns out the parts had come in but Mr. Handyman was not notified. The next day, Nate came and installed the new new gable vents. It took an hour and a half to install the three of them. They look great. I was happy and would use Mr Handyman again. I felt the price was fair for the quality work done. It included all parts, labor and time.

The handyman was intelligent, skilled and courteous. The quality of the work was excellent.
Description of Work: The main job was to replace a rotted attic vent that could only be accessed from outside, but the handyman also did some smaller jobs (e.g., replaced broken cabinet hinges, adjusted screens and shower doors), which I added because the pricing for the initial call-out is so steep.

Nate Keen, the Service Technician, arrived on-time and was aware of what work needed to be preformed. One activity was changed from working on a deck railing to working on a stairwell bannister. He was accommodating. He did the work quickly, accurately and cleaned up went the work was completed. He knew what he was doing even when a task was changed. He never put any more insulation in after replacing the portion of the ceiling. He was very inappropriate while talking to me. I ended up having to replace everything he did and added the insulation that was neglected to be replaced in the first. He left a bevel in the ceiling. The bevel in the ceiling where the sheet rock met, is no longer there.
Description of Work: He was supposed to fix some water stains on our ceiling with new drywall.

I contacted the provider at 8am and they had someone at my rental property by 12 noon to fix a garage door as well as to clean out gutters. They contacted my renters prior to showing up at the house, were professional, respectful and did the jobs right on the spot. I would highly recommend Mr. Handyman!!!!

I was very patient and waited an additional week before calling for the estimate. they seemed to know nothing about it. I asked if they could get back to me before the end of the day but was told no. I was told I could not hear back until sometime next week and that the work could not be done on the original timeline. I would never use them again. I would like to add one thing separate from this. I did have a very nice technician originally come out for the measurements and he replaced a ceiling fan on that day. For this, I would rate him an A for that job only.
Description of Work: I had requested an estimate on bathroom tile flooring. The measurements were taken and I was told in a few days I would have a proposal. I was assured the work could be done by the following week.

We have spoken with the member and the short response is she is correct, we dropped the ball and we apologize for our mistake. The technician forgot to submit the information and a proposal was not released. The first we knew of the error was when the member called late yesterday afternoon. We offered to correct the oversight but the member said she needed a proposal immediately and wanted the work done in the next 5 days. We again apologized but explained we could not meet that short turnaround. We offered to provide a proposal next week and the member declined our offer. We are glad to hear the member was pleased with the work done by the technician and hope we have the opportunity to prove our error was a one-time mistake.

I was very pleased with this company. My call to them was returned promptly. Shanon was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Vladimer did excellent work, explained what he was going to do, worked quietly and efficiently and cleaned up any mess. I would ask for him again. The pricing was spelled out upfront and I also liked the idea that I could verify on their website the name and photo of the technician coming into my home.

Spectacular from start to finish. Joe was friendly but kept things moving to complete his work.

Nigel was very professional, personable and competent. He really is a jack of all trades and it was nice having one person address carpentry, electrical and plumbing needs (also probably less expensive, although they aren't cheap....). After reviewing he work needed, he gave me a shopping list so I could get needed items myself and not have to pay for additional time. I'm very pleased with all the work done and have started a new list for them.

Tim came out on time (actually a bit early which worked perfectly for me). He installed a garage organizational system in my garage and assembled a wire shelving unit as well. He power washed my deck with care and let me know that he would be gentle since the deck was composite wood. He paid extra attention to the areas on the side of the deck that have a lot of green algae. This has bothered me for so long...gone now! He was very professional and pleasant to talk to. I am a huge fan of someone getting to work quickly and working diligently and Tim did both of these things. He never wasted any time. After he was finished, he walked around the house with me to give me his feedback on several other jobs I will need to have finished soon. He was honest and intelligent and offered me great ideas. I will be using them again in the future!

Joe Tarr was a very pleasant man who made sure he understood what I wanted to have done. He accomplished everything I asked of him with a smile. I was very comfortable with him in my home and will definitely use this company again.

Joe Tarr arrived on time, listened while I explained what our problem was (a slow leak from our shower stall that was showing up on our kitchen ceiling) and went about fixing it. He resealed the shower drain pipe, removed the old caulking, and re-caulked it. He installed the new doorbell button and while he was doing it, noticed that the front door was out of alignment, which he fixed by re-attaching the top hinge with longer screws. The door no longer sticks. Simple enough, but it showed initiative on his part, seeing a problem unsolicited and addressing it. Overall, Joe was very professional and competent. I might add that he was very personable as well. I will request him specifically for any future projects around the house that are done through Mr. Handyman.

The wall is beautiful!. It blends in perfectly with the part of the wall that was not damaged. The cost to replace the wall would have been enormous. I am thrilled. Part of the cost including installing two light fixtures. What a deal.

Vladimir was on time, quickly got to work, organized the chores in an efficient way (from first doing the inside one, then the outside ones) and kept on task during the 4 hours he was here. He touched base occasionally to let me know what he was doing, but didn't overdo it. He seemed to know how to do all the particular chores and had what appeared to be the correct tools. He suggested a few things that I might consider doing in the future, without pressuring, and also identified a good place in the loft of the garage, to better store the remaining extra lengths of vinyl siding, which I had from before, so they would be safe for any future needs. He wasn't "too talkative", so I felt the hours he put in were completely appropriate to be billed for. I clocked the time myself, and he accurately reflected that on the final invoice. He showed good care when removing my front door (to saw the new opening for the mail slot) to also open and then close the screen door carefully, to keep the flies out of the house, and to also not scratch the wall when taking the door outside, or when putting it back into place. He was quick, but steady with his work. The scheduling/office staff were friendly and professional, and even though we had to reschedule because of bad weather, they were able to accommodate my schedule, and gave me a reminder call the night before as well. I am very satisfied, and would definitely use Mr. Handyman... specifically Vladimir if possible... again.
Description of Work: Repaired two drain pipes, power-washed the entire back/north (greenish mildew) side of my house, cut and tied up some old wood, so I could discard with the trash, cut a new opening for/installed a new mail slot in my front door, repaired a few fence slats, replaced two pieces of vinyl siding on the garage which were torn, and helped move a few items in my garage from the top shelf to the bottom shelf so I could more easily reach them.

Some of the valves, supply lines, flappers, etc. on three toilets needed to be replaced. I thought I needed to have the dryer vent hose attached, but it turns out that the entire hose needed to be replaced and attached. I also needed a day bed with trundle assembled. The company set up an appointment for me within a few days of my initial contact. The office staff was very friendly. They were professional in calling to confirm, and they were also willing to call me when the tech was on the way to my house so that I didn't have to take the entire day off work. The technician realized he had to call someone else to help him with my washer/dryer issue, but got to work doing other things while he waited on back up. Both men were extremely friendly and professional. All of the work was completed today. Both men were also very concerned about cleaning up after themselves as they did the work. I'm extremely pleased with the work and I will use this service again. I will also request the technician who came to my house.
