Service called and was in the area so we told them to come by. They did the work in fantastic time Eric was knowledgable about his craft I would definitely recommend and use this service again

The worker was courteous and professional.

They called Saturday morning and told me that they were in Whitehall. They made me their next stop. They cleaned all my gutters, replaced the gutter guards that blew off. They checked my roof for issues. I told them that I had some leakage on my porch roof. He said he found some cracks and caulked them. They also cleaned my garage roof and gutter at no extra charge! Absolutely wonderful and fast.

I initially hired Eric to clean my gutters, which needed doing, but I was also using this as a way of evaluating him as a potential contractor for a new roof that I knew I was due for. He was very prompt and professional. He told me what he thought I needed and why. I have a flat roof on an addition that has historically had leakage problems and he pointed out what the issues were, how he would fix it, and how he would follow up and was willing to put that in writing in the contract. His team was prompt and very quick. They made an effort to minimize damage to the shrubbery surrounding the house. The whole project took under 3 days including the flat roof. I would highly recommend him.

Eric was prompt in calling in setting up the appt. He was on time and inspected the roof. All penetration sleeves looked good and fortunately no work was needed on the roof. While on the roof I asked if he could check the gutters for debris. Not only did he check them but he also cleaned them. It had rained earlier in the morning so Eric could not seal the gutter corner that was leaking but he plans to return when next in this area to seal them. I did not expect him to clean the gutters as part of this inspection/minor repair service so I was really pleased that he did so. Eric is very professional and courteous. He exceeded my expectations.

I contacted Eric through email and phone for information about cleaning my house/garage gutters. He stopped by my 2 story house and let me know I qualified for the $111.00 job. I purchased the service through Angie's List on 11/12/13. Eric came over to my house on 11/13/13 and completed the job. I'm very pleased with Better Roof's service!

I did not have a good experience. I purchased the deal and then he called me right away and kept insisting that he wants to come that day. I said no because gutter cleaning is a lengthy job but he said that it will be done. I don’t have any other time so I told him that he can come. He just did the job in like 10-15 minutes. He just cleaned a couple of gutters and only the spouts. I asked him if he will use the water but he didn’t do anything. The price was okay but the way that he performed it is not worth it. He also made me feel guilty that I didn't pay too much.

Eric very promptly replied to my purchase of the "Big Deal". I was working a huge amount of hours at the time, and he was incredibly flexible and cooperative in working with me to schedule the appointment (I wanted to be home for it). Ultimately I couldn't arrange to be home for the appointment, and Eric proceeded with the gutter cleaning and the roof inspection. He was very thorough, and took numerous pictures that he promptly e-mailed me. Eric was very friendly, very professional, and I would later call him back to provide me with an estimate for a new roof and gutters.

I confess! I thought the Angie's List commercials were hyperbole. But I signed up for a special deal because my gutters were starting to look like flower boxes. Eric came out later that week, did a fabulous job, completely cleaned up when they were done, and told me why my roof was leaking. Came back the next day and replaced the stuff that covers where the roof meets the wall. (I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know what it is.) Both Eric and the other man with him were wonderful. They were quick, they were neat, they were professional. I have found my roofer for life, and I strongly recommend him!

excellent. i purchased an Angie's List gutter cleaning and roof inspection. they arrived on time and started and finished quickly, thoroughly, and pleasantly. the owner discovered that my roof appeared to have "hail damage," and advised me to contact my home owners insurance company for a claim. He offered to meet my insurance inspector at my home to discuss the damage and the necessity to replace, not repair the roof that was only 11 years old. he negotiated with the adjuster on my behalf and the insurance agreed to replace the roofing shingles. one week later they showed up and replaced the shingles in one day. everything was cleaned up pretty well, except for some roofing nails in my driveway. great company to work with. friendly, fair, and helpful. recommended Better Roofer to my neighbors also.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went well. They were real prompt; they came out the next day after I purchased the deal and got everything done quickly. I also had them do some other work on top of the Big Deal so I paid an additional charge of about $200.

Perfect. They arrived when they said. Used professional equipment and performed the work promptly and cleaned up after themselves.

Vendor responded quickly after I purchased a discount coupon and appeared within a couple of days to perform the service. There were no hassles and it all went off much more quickly and smoothly than some other coupon purchases. I was entirely satisfied with the experience.

Better roofer was thorough in their work. They came when we were out of town and emailed me pictures the same day to show me that the work has performed and it looked great to me.

Very professional and prompt: called soon after I purchased the big deal and set up an appointment. Called when they arrived at my house and reported after completing the service on the status of my roof.

After purchasing the package through Angie's list, Eric contacted me within 24 hours to schedule the work. He showed up on time and completed the work we agreed to (gutter cleaning and roof inspection). His crew also helped me replace a piece of soffit that had fallen off during a storm since i couldn't reach it without an extension ladder.. He didn't charge me any extra for this extra service.

I contracted Better Roofer through an Angie's List Big Deal - $85 for "Whole Home Gutter Cleaning and Roof Inspection". What I didn't want was someone who would do as little as possible as quickly as possible and use the opportunity to try to sell me extra work. What I got was a very polite gentleman, Eric, who responded quickly and is knowledgeable about roofs. Curiously, he didn't bring a long enough ladder to reach the gutters on my two-story colonial so he cleaned the downspout elbows which were blocked. He was done in under a half hour and said he couldn't go up on my roof because it is slate, so I didn't get the roof inspection part of the big deal. He gave me a card and said if the gutters needed anything more to just call. I noticed during the next rain my front downspout was still clogged so I contacted Eric on 8-5. He said he would call me in a day or two when he was free. I haven't heard back from him going on 3 weeks now. This is the first time I've used a contractor because of an Angie's List Big Deal and probably the last. The big deals have to be paid in full in advance of any work being done and contractors are apparently not screened by anybody. I checked and found Better Roofer is not registered with the Pa. Attorney General's Office as is the law in this state since 2009. Based on this experience I can't recommend Better Roofer or Angie's List. Fail.

they did the inspection, showed me the pictures and had to leave to buy the materials. Returned very quickly to performed the work. They were very efficient and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time

We were leaving on vacation. I was contacted by the provider via email. I asked that the service be performed upon our return. We were having some difficulty with our gutters and I wanted to discuss the problem and get some solutions. The work was done while we were on vacation and pictures were emailed to me indicating before and after photos. I called upon our return from vacation and schedule a time for someone to come out and take a look at our gutter problems. No one ever came and no return call was given or email sent.

I purchased the deal, the owner called me very shortly afterwards. He came the next day bright and early to perform the cleaning. He gave us a quote for a replacing a missing shingle. He said the roof was in fine shape. There was no pressure to purchase additional services.

The roof was leaking in numerous places and with all the rain, the problem was getting worse. Eric and his assistant went up on the roof and took photos of the numerous damaged and problem areas. We then discussed whether to repair each section (at least 9 areas), or replace the 25 y/o shingles. Original workmanship was very spotty based on the photos, and the known leaks. Once the decision was made to replace, the challenge became finding the correct matching architectural shingles at a good price. Eric was able to identify them, and get them delivered at a better price. The replacement took two days, and was accomplished efficiently. I would like to laud his openness, his timeliness, his efficient work, and extremely well done cleanliness at the job site. For this large effort, he and his team (of 3) did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Better Roofer.

Poorly. Still haven't received a written estimate, the front gutter, (the reason for the cleaning,) continued to over flow. Eric the owner just showed up with no phone call saying he was coming. I showed him the problem and he started tapping the aluminum downspout, which sounded empty and told me that he wasn't responsible for the whole downspout. Ok? I'll do it myself! Crook!
